Not even close to being the main sign of maturity. You cannot grow mature enough if you are stuck at the age of 20/30/40+ beating yourself up for breaking a toy when you were 10 years old for example. *Nuance*. Enough with the cheap empty *thumbs-up-bait* quotes for attention already.
I just want to say that I love watching Charlie's videos. His voice is very soothing to listen to, his random topics always peak my interest, his funny unique insults are always so creative and I love using them on my friends from time to time, and the regular uploads are definitely my daily driver to watch what things happen in the world. Like an unserious news outlet, I love it. Please keep up the good work Charlie. I am unsure whether you're even able to read comments while uploading so regularly with so many people commenting, but you're really helping me through a hard time, man. I am not going well at my study, I might have long-covid which isn't even a real diagnosis so I'm pretty much always ill (some auto-immune thingy that I got from getting covid a lot) and my ADHD meds are never working so I feel just useless too much, and your video's spark some happiness in me to keep me going again. Super cheesy I know, but I had to say it sooner or later. Thanks Charlie :)
vouch this entire comment. Everything he said is very true. Your funny insults, random topics, frequent uploads, calm voice, etc. Thanks Charlie, you mean a lot to all of us.
I don't agree with this specifically but that's the shortcoming of one dimensional ratings like this. They're completely different games, you can't really compare them fairly.
@@jessquiatchon2204 Quality can be measured in so many ways. Factorio might not have compelling side quests and random events like RDR2 but it has other features which make it a quality game.

Your channel kept playing on youtube and I glanced over and freaked out at the lack of hair from an early video. Thanks, Charlie, for the great content.
The owner had no doing in the suspension, iFastnet just suspended it because it was very suspicious that a barely used website magically got gigabits upon gigabits of traffic. He's working on getting it up "asap" according to my communication with him.
This exactly reminds me of when Cosmonaut Marcus reacted the same way to his old ratings. It's so fun to watch people compare their tastes then and now. I'd like to see more reviewers do the same.
I watched that movie recently and I couldn’t imagine sitting through it getting third wheeled AND friendzoned trapped with nothing but a jar of crunchy peanut butter. id cry
It's like going down memory lane and see how your perspectives and standards have evolved over time. As viewers, we tend to forget that reviewers like you evolve too - it's intriguing to see how your perspectives have shifted over the years.

Am I the only person that enjoyed that movie like it wasn't a masterpiece but like it was dumb space guy fighting emo space guy fun just turn the brain off idk
@@crazyspoonwizardI liked the black and white part and bale like Charles did and that’s it. The rest of the movie is badly written or annoying. Takas girlfriend is a terrible actress and Natalie Portman if you ask me just shouldn’t have been in this franchise again. Also thor in this universe is like thousands of years old and seen countless battles and warfare…. So I find it hard to believe at this point in his life he’d go on some weird soul searching journey randomly leaving what people were excited about in a team up with the guardians. Gor the god butcher also butchers every god off screen in what could’ve been the better part of the movie if they showed any of it. And the Disney bullshit with the kids fighting monsters at the end… do I need to say anymore? Look like you said I’m sure the film is fine if you switch your brain off and sit there braindead for the next 2-3 hours or are a very young child yourself…. But if your above like teenage age I’d say this movie sucks ass. It’s a textbook example of what can happen when a director gets full freedom control and never gets reigned in on his ideas. You get screaming goats and a boring ass movie.
Charlie's thoughts on RDR2 have been his spiciest ever take for me personally. The game has endless replayability value, calling it a slog to get through is absolutely wild bro
What replayability exactly? Lol unless you like extremely tedious gameplay mechanics. Rockstar tried to make an action RPG game and failed big time. Stick to arcade action games.
@@snoofmn The first 2 Red Dead games perfectly captured the spirit of the old West/spaghetti western feeling without becoming too pretentious going full RPG. RDR2 went into the serious path way too much to the point of becoming extremely long for no reason.
@@al112v4 Extremely long? Maybe you don't want to play the fucking game, the main story is not long at all if you just want to do main missions which is just 40% of the game's content. This is the take people who believe this is GTA usually do, the replayability is the amount of stuff you discover in the open world which is huge and the character progression you get through challenges, camp, trapper, fence, etc. Just play the game and stop basing your opinions of RU-vid reviewers

I think a big part of it is how jaded everyone has become. What seemed okay then for a certain genre seems terrible now, and what seemed terrible then in retrospect seems like "the good old days before everything became stale garbage"
Yeah I agree that's a perfect way to summarize it. Things either age really badly or really poorly, nothing ever retains the same reception it had when it first came out.

I really like the videos of you showing highlights or topics from your streams. Im not able to catch the streams nor do i have the time or attention span for a stream anymore. So these types of videos are super enjoyable for me
Sekiro being an 85 is wild. I genuinely cant think of a flaw in that game other than maybe typical FromSoft camera bullshit, which I recall still happening way less
@@ygthemoth9425it has DLC?? The gauntlets and extra clothing options? Not every game needs to have an overly extended story. The game is literally perfect. 95%
@@-Mintyy you're not wrong but to be fair, the joke is just more Sekiro would be cool. Especially since From DLC is always the best part of the game. Its just the weird dilemma of being happy that a game/story/movie/etc. is well constructed and complete, but simultaneously being sad that you have experienced all there is to experience with that piece of media
No that’s still correct, great story, great set pieces, great characters, terrible gameplay and mechanics, with that patented *spending 60% of the game going to a location* Rockstar is obsessed with. The graphics absolutely carry those moments.
@@GrandMasterBruh "terrible" is a pretty harsh word. The mechanics are annoying, but given everything else that's worked on to near perfection, it's easily acceptable.
This is extremely satisfying to see, I very often agreed with his opinions, but very frequently was really surprised by the score or thought it made little sense 'in context' his recent scores have been more or less in line with where I think they should be

its one of my favorites! but even if its not your thing, anything under a 40 feels disingenuous. for me a 50 is average, fine, neither here nor there. then the 20-30 range is barely watchable. i dont see disliking it that much unless you like, hate horror or suspense or swedish people lmao
It's one of those things where it's either a 0 out of 10 or a 10 out of 10. Kinda like Last of Us 2. Both for me are a 0 out of 10. Vanity projects which are huge piles of shi.
Midsommar is very much the type of of movie where you either love it or hate it, with there being pretty much zero in-between. (I'm in the camp that hates it, I don't know how people find anything enjoyable about that movie, although I do think the score Charlie gave was still maybe a couple points too low).
@@me-vx4wiI’m one of the few that enjoyed it more than hereditary, personally I don’t find movies with demons/ghosts scary which is why I found Midsommar more enjoyable
Thumbnail got me thinking that Charile cut his hair short again. Seeing the title of this video had me agreeing with him, All of us had that time of doing such ridiculous and embarrassing things in Middle School. Definitely won't forget about any of them. 😭
The Last Jedi is one of those movies where when you first watch it, you think yiu like it at first. But the longer you think about it, and you watch it again, you start hating it.
Really? For me it's the opposite. When I first watched it, there were plenty of parts I loved about it, but others that bothered me. Yet as I watched it more, I didn't mind the issues as much because the good far outweighs the bad.
