I have visited Hollywood six times from the UK. On my last visit (before the pandemic) I made it to the top of the sign, one of my experiences I’ll never forget. ✌️

Crazy how it's already been a year since you guys moved out here. Time really does fly

When I first pulled into Hollywood in Dec.1983 and first caught site of the sign through the LA smog, it clearly read "HOLLYWEED". My buddies thought I was crazy. We found out later it was done up for a movie. Then later we all climbed straight up from Griffith Park and climbed all over the sign. Back then there were no fences or security around the sign. And the Griffith Observatory was always practically deserted. Boy have times changed. Welcome to Hollywood Sir.

Awesome Hike !! I used to hike nearly everyday before June 27th, 2016. The day my Life was radically n horrifyingly altered. The day I walked out in my driveway and was struck by lightning, and lived through it. “It was a horrifying experience n I knew exactly what was happening n it was too late for flight... smell of plastic melting in the air or ozone, overwhelming taste of copper in my mouth, n magnetic pulse where every hair on my body was standing straight up... it felt like my body was being lifted up in the air. I prayed, “Father above give me strength” n held on tight to my Jeep tucked in between spare tire/gate at rear n felt it as it came down. It was mind numbing scary/frightening as it shot through me blowing my teeth out, disintegrating 1 lower molar, burning my feet up”.

Now I know why my uncle didn't want me to go up there when I visited my relatives who live in Sacramento. We spent three days in Los Angeles and guess what, I bumped into Jared Leto. That was crazy. He's absolutely nice in person and we talked for about 15 minutes. I asked him all about Panic Room and what it was like working with David Fincher and Jodie Foster. I know what you mean about the HOLLYWOOD sign. I feel drawn to it when I watch this video. I hope one day I can get there to see it in person. I went to Los Angeles on a trip in the 70's twice and I didn't even get to see the sign in close range. I hope I get there while I'm still able to walk long distances. Happy Anniversary. I went to L. A. in 2009 after I had heart surgery. I stayed 1 night in China Town. I took the Blue Bus twice from Union Station to Santa Monica. I was able to see the Hollywood Sign from the bus. Didn't get to see much of L. A., but I did go to the Pier twice. Never will forget that trip. 12/14/09-12/20/09 from Cincinnati to L.A. and back. I'd like to go back and spend more time there. Thanks for the hike.

Omg!! You picked a perfect day to film the views of LA. I saw for miles. Which isn't always a clear day in LA. Lol. I remember when I was little. Visiting my cousins whom then lived in Hollywood. We would go to the sign ...which then you can walk down a take pictures of you in front of it. 70's back then oops revieled my age 😳 🤣. But I digress. I missed those days when you can do fun things which now are not allowed 😢. But, thanks for taking me along on your trek up to the sign we as California folks love our history. This is one of my new favorite channels 100% .....Good friends of mine are out there right now from West Virginia filming a documentary with David Ellefson from Megadeth about Nick Menzas life....I still have yet to see it out there but one day I'm going to make an awesome road trip out that way just so I can drive down Highway 1.

Downey boy here! I used to hang out there in the early 90's when you could actually hang out right by the letters. We used to smoke weed, drink beer and wait for the police helicopter to run us off. Used to drop acid and walk the Blvd as well.👁👁 👹🤙

So envious. Lived in Southern California when I was a kid and I will always love LA and Hollywood. When I went three years ago I was feeling sad that I had to leave. The other vloggers who left around the time you moved there, I pretty much stopped watching them. Nothing personal against them but I'm only interested in the kind of content you do and not in some car museum in Oklahoma LOL.
