I've got a 2004 3.0i. The gas tank is 55 litres (14.5 gallons). The one thing with these cars I've noticed is that when the needle is approaching the lowest mark on the fuel gauge - that is actually zero. The fuel light comes on at the mark before the zero mark, so you know that what it says on the gauge is literally the amount you have left.
Own an 03 Z4 that came with issues. Regret buying it at this point but its an experience. Realoem.com offers part numbers and some of them are switchable to the Z. Amplifier is very tricky. Need to see if you have DSP or not. Mine came with DSP($1k option lol) but my amp was probably water damaged. Got lucky on ebay and found one for $200 and works perfectly although the part is slightly different the sound works with bass and all channels working. Amps are expensive even used. Windhsield trim panel cracks and breaks. Currently I stuffed socks between the gap to keep the headliner from falling on me. Motor for top is fried like mine(planning to get a manual top) . The manual release should work by twisting the cord clockwise or counterclockwise. T-break light can be replaced for $20-$30. I went with clear and it better looking. INPA or BMW scanner should also pull up codes for the modules.
Man! You have a lot of issues with the z4. Mine has 114.000 miles and no issues just regular maintenance. Hey I don’t know where in the US you are but I have a pair of extra seats for the Z4. I can give them to you for free. But you will have to pick them up or pay for the shipping. And you will solve one of your issues

If you are in your 20s you should grind and eventually make enough to get something new to lease, finance or buy the best example. Maybe it's cheaper to fix and maintain in your country, but this can eat your time with constant repairs diagnosing and mental attention. I don't recommend this if you are not mechanically inclined or not willing to spend a lot of time learning. If this is for a 2nd car to occasionally drive or you are older/mechanically inclined go for it. Check for rust, moisture in the carpets including the convertible top function. Rusty seat rails are a sign. I had a low oil pressure light that never left eventually making me sell it even after changing the oil pump.
Jeez, your car is in worse condition than mine, with 40k less miles. Haha. -I can fill up to about 14 to 14.5 gallons for a full tank of gas. -Auto top works too. A little noisy though. I'll see what needs to be done to get the top moving manually. You might want to look at the hydraulic fluid lines, and see if they're leaking. Edit: did you press the roof down button while trying to move the roof manually?
I can imagine, nothing is cheap without a reason haha. I have confirmed with another comment it's an issue with the gas tank. I'm guessing the hydraulic lines are leaking the blue fluid, but I'm sure the motor itself is bad. There is no noise after the top unlatches, and I'll try pushing down. I've tried pulling back where it unlatches, perhaps I'm doing it wrong. Thanks for the input and watching!
Dude u got ripped off for $5200 automatic with all those issues. That thing is not well taken care of for 82,000 miles you should have got it for like $3500 cuz all those things you need to fix and replace adds up. With the same amount of money spent to fix you could have got a decent z4 with little issues for $7000
I bought it February, two years ago. I was unaware about the convertible top thinking it was a switch. Besides that the content and videos have already paid the difference. Today it would be a rip off.
