Hey Irene! Missed you. I've been good. Some exciting news, I got a car that us 10 years younger than the one I had. It was air conditioning, and a back up camera! On my job front I've been debating whether to leave my second job or not. That job was my first and it's kinda been a security blanket. This year started off roughhhh but so good to see someone else coming out of the 2024 funk too! Yesterday I went on a solo trip to the beach and that was lovely :) Also books/reading are amazing, as per usual.

I recently went thru a really bad period of poor mental health, hating life, scared/struggling financially..but recently things have started to turn around as far as my mindset....I know how tough it can be when you are struggling financially and mentally, but you are not alone and things will get better 🩷

Just moved into my own place for the first time! Picking up couponing as a hobby has been the best decision I’ve ever made, makes me feel so accomplished to be able to put extra work in to provide for myself at a lower cost. Also, once you get really good and you start getting a bunch of free stuff, it’s very rewarding to be able to help out your friends and donate to the local community 😊

The feeling you're describing was majorly what I was going through last year and it's SO rough. But you're so right, it's like you're in survival mode and can only focus on every day and you don't have the brain capacity for creative endeavors. But THIS YEAR I made the resolution to focus on my creative self and so far I've been a lead role in a musical, got a raise at work, and feel like I'm thriving! Hope your rough patch clears up soon. You're on the mend, for sure! Missed you❤

Welcome back! Sometimes we gotta get through before we can get back to being ourselves. 🌻 My update is that I have actually made progress on a more positive internal monologue with the help of my therapist, and emotional management overall has improved in the last 6 months or so. I also turned 39, had my oldest turn 18, and my youngest turn 4. It's a lot of milestones this year? Which feels crazy, but it's good things, so I try to keep my awareness up even though it's...a LOT. Little spots of sunshine for me: --mental health app KinderWorld --meditation in the sun listening to my wind chimes --reading for fun again (currently in the midst of Broken Earth series by NK Jemisin and The Pelican Brief by John Grisham) --Audiobooks, especially vintage mystery, like Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe or Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot --Forrest Frank, Terrian, and early 2000s punk on Spotify --planning staycation family vacation for July, which means all the stuff we never make time for during the year! And lots of time just couch rotting, because busy seasons are rough on my psyche lol --I also have an itch for hobbies!! The ones I'm considering are: mini bookshelf builds (Cute Bee Eternal Bookstore), crochet, ceramics, home gardening, and terrariums Enjoy your summer, lovely lady!
