Nice to have you back, lets see where it takes you/us in the future ;) Always nice to have some insight in how other creatives have it. See you soon I hope.
Hey Dave... Well, I don't know who you were and I came here from the Retro Halftone lesson you gave. I thank you. I am a new Affinity user and laid out my new book in Publisher. I have been an Adobe user for years but now have switched over. ANY content or videos you make will be watched for sure. Subscribed.
I watch your videos because I like listening to humble honest intelligent people, not because I want or need help with art/marketing/whatever. I'm retired from web dev and marketing. I make art 'cause I want to. Stopped writing books a few years ago, stopped writing music-until writing 50 new songs in February. Now my visual art isn't interesting, I want to write and perform music. But I don't care about selling any of it. I don't need a business anymore.
Welcome back. Congrats on holding on to the novid hat ... it's a lonely club, but we'll get the point across eventually! A few weeks ago I realized I hadn't seen you in a while, started poking around, saw that you seemed to be thriving on substack, and quietly wished you the best while I came back over here to bang my head against the wall. Then I realized: hey, why not wear a helmet? And things have been a little less dumb ever since. Sometimes I wake up and don't remember taking off my pants, but hey, my helmet has cool unicorn stickers!
Good to see you back. I have both Adobe CC and Affinity suite. Soon to dump Adobe as it’s just so expensive. I looking forward to the new style content as software is pencil’s and paper, I’m old enough to remember concepts.
