I'm glad you're surgery went well and welcome back. Your dad's layout looks awesome. I'm sure you all had a great time building it. See you at York, safe travels.
Very nice. I have a lot of Menards buildings on my layout. Menards and Me are both from Wisconsin. So there buildings are mostly based on buildings in Wisconsin. I credit Menards for getting me back into the hobby. I was in the Menards store a few years back and seen all these detailed buildings at a good price. I am not a scratch builder. So the buildings inspired me.
Hi, Peachy, although I am sorry that you had to have surgery, I am glad it went well and that you are recovering nicely. Building a new railroad is always exciting and your Dad's railroad is looking super. Great work! Have fun at York! Bill B.
Sorry to hear about your health issues Peachy but I'm glad to hear you're recovering nicely! Thank goodness, we NEED you! Hey, it's nice to see your dad's made the leap from HO to O Gauge! Hey, three-railers have three times the fun, right? That new layout's come together nicely and I see you followed my philosophy about layout building: Get the trains running as soon as you can! Everything else like adding buildings and scneicking can follow in due course. Getting trains going gives the builder as sense of accomplishment and it's a good morale-booster. I'm heading to York myself this week. Hopefully our courses will cross! Thanks for posting!
Cool! It’s nice that you helped your dad see the O gauge light.😉. That’s a great little layout, for sure. Menard’s makes some great trains and buildings. I’m ready for York and I’ll see you at the Meet and Greet. An excellent video, as always.
Model trains is all about having fun no matter the scale or detail, remember the first time you saw the train Santa Claus brought you under the tree?. A Sprecher Brewing sign?... no way, a top brand here in Milwaukee. Good to see you Wendy ( Hamberger's ) .... wink
Magnificent catches of the model trains coming by and pass. Thumbs up. Keep up the perfect work, my friend, I just liked and subscribed your channel, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Great minds think alike. Got the movie theatre. The Texaco station ,bowling alley, and car dealership are in my cart awaiting my tax refund.I have a double mainline also going around a 11X16 U shape layout with turnouts.Plan to put in 2 subway lines underneath Glad everything is OK. Hope you had the same prepping team experience I had. It was like I was in a SNL skit and I was in for blood clots!
Looks really nice! I actually just made the switch to ho scale. If you are someone who is more interested in tinkering with the layout and more scenery work like grass and terrain sculpting along with realistic track plans it has been easier to do this on a budget than with o scale
Peachy, My daughter would love it if you could come over to our layout in the purple hall at York. She got a chance to meet you last year. This year, the Fordham Creek Railroad has the privilege of displaying our O gauge layout there. I know she will be more than thrilled to see you. Bring something to run... See you soon
I saw the subtitle of your Video. We’re all Glad to see that you’re feeling better and doing well. Very nice job that you and your dad did with the layout, this is almost like a Menards showroom layout Have fun at York this year. Hope to catch up with you all at the Next Show next year🚂
Welcome back your layout is absolutely awesome i have two Menards engines love them both i also have some of their buildings which smoke you don't use regular smoke fluid you use water i also picked up the Lionel Looney tunes train which is totally awesome love your videos glad your doing better take care
Glad to hear all is well!! I've never been to the York show, Im about 45min South of York. Thing is, Im strictly HO scale and considering we just had the GSMTS down here in Timonium, not sure about swinging up to York. I might try and swing up, have to see how this week goes.
Listen, I don't wanna be a stickler here but 3 rail train law states the throttles can't go below 95% and there was definitely some slow trains going. Just cant have any of that HO slow business crossing over into O scale 3 rail.
Some how I messed up on the other post. As I was saying I also have some Menards stuff and its great for the price point. Tell your dad he should Check out Menards every Tuesday that's when they add some new stuff, not every week but pretty often. Tell him to sign up to find out about about the email that they will send telling him. Stay well!!!!.
Hope you feel well Peachy!!!! I will not be attending York for the first time since 1984. I have been having chemo for the past month and right now I'm very weak. But the prognosis is very good so ill see everybody next April. Btw your dads layout looks great. I also have some Menards stuff
That MAY happen. I have it on good authority (can't say who) Menards bought a lot of the old Williams tooling for freight cars and might have done so with others. We'll have to wait and see. No guarantees though.
@@charlesmcclure5994 That would be a good thing if they did. Keep away from the big, scale cars and produce a line that is closer to the old AMT and 2500 series Lionel cars. I collect AMT, but it would be cool to have more options.
@@wayneantoniazzi2706 It would be nice if "Mr. Menard" who is the train guy, had a direct e-mail where you could list likes, dislikes and hoped-fors. I've long wanted empty autoracks that you could fasten your preferred cars to (w/o having to buy loaded ones off the shelf!)
Fine job! I love the Menard's stuff too but it depends on your bank doesn't it? LOL I have many of their buildings and cars but haven't gotten one of the locos yet although some friends have.
seeing people with a big o guage layout makes me feel broke but im still gratefull for my ho stuff the layout looks pretty good. hope you get a smooth recovery.
Menards stocks a few HO-scale versions of its O-scale buildings but my guess is they don't sell all that well. HO scale modelers, in general, seem to be mostly about building dioramas that traind MIGHT run through, along with scratch-building as much as possible.
Peachy you have an awesome layout and I love all of your Menards O-gauge trains many of which I own already. The one thing that I have noticed about Menards is that this year they have not come out with a lot of product if you look at their website they still have a lot of older product to sell maybe that is why they did not come out with much stuff this year.
