Young lady, as a 70-year-old woman who grew up with all these songs, you have so much wonderful, beautiful music that you've never heard! My heart cries for you.
Hello Lila, how're you doing? Your comments caught my attention and that is why I am reaching out to you. Your fan love for me warms my heart, Thank you! It's nice meeting you here.
very few male rock voices were wonderful- Steve perry, Peter Cetera of Chicago, Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Freddie Mercury of Queen, Dennis DeSilva of Styx, and Brad Delp of Boston.
I'm 66. The Eagles are my favorite band but Steve Perry, IMHO, is the greatest voice of rock and roll - ever. I never tire of that voice, and it never fails to give me chills. My husband and I saw him in concert in Denver, CO in the 90's. Just Steve. My favorite concert experience ever- even without Journey songs. Thanks for the sweet memory. Lovely reaction video.
Journey was absolutely amazing in concert. I'm blessed to have seen them. Steve Perry has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. This song has always been my favorite and makes me cry every time I hear it. I wish I'd had a man that was so faithful.
I was in high school when this song came out, it was HUGELY popular. It still touches my heart the same way. It was released on April 16th, 1983, so it’s just over 40 years old but just as relevant now as it was then. (Incidentally, my Toy Rat Terrier’s birthday is April 16, he just turned 12 yrs old) Sorry, I had to share that too. ❤ I’m always happy to either share the music I love or see people, emotionally connecting/touched by the music/musicians I love. Your reaction made me a little teary as it was genuine and just so honest and sweet. Thank you for sharing this. ❤ (Now I need to watch everything else you’ve posted!) 😊
This is my favorite band of all time. Steve Perry has an amazing voice, none like him. I was fortunate to see Journey in 1980 as a teenage girl, and there is no one who can out sing Steve Perry. And I still enjoy his music til this day. Thank you for your genuine emotion, Sarah. You need to listen to Open Arms or When You Love a Woman. You will surely cry.
When you have that one special person that is right next to your heart this song brings you to beautiful places and will always make your eyes leak lol ❤
It was a great song and in the times of when great love was around ..the 70`s and 80`s. I still play it when I see it. There is not much love like there use to be back then..wish it came back into society.
I’ve heard that song a million times and still get emotional when I hear it now. It’s probably the greatest (Rock) love song ever preformed. Glad you enjoyed it.
One of a handful of rock ballads that I remember exactly where I was when I first heard it. I was blown away. A true classic from an exceptional band, and Steve Perry with the perfect voice.
I love this girl, she has excellent taste in music and to see younger people realize how beautiful journey and oh, Steve Perry is brings joy to my heart. If Silk could sing it would sound like Steve Perry!!! This song ALWAYS make me teary eyed.
Seeing the emotion the music brought out of you made me cry. Your expressions are beautiful. I've always loved foreigner but you felt the writers soul in the music.
I turned my late wife onto faithfully and open arms before she passed away in 2013. Before then she never listen to rock and roll or had even heard of Journey.
Your reaction to hearing this song for the first time is the same as my reaction to hearing it the first time ... and hearing it 40 years later. It will always be my favorite of all of Journey's songs.
I saw Journey perform LIVE April 4th, 1983 at McNichol's Arena in Denver Colorado. I remember the day, was my brother's 18th birthday gift from me. Was an amazing concert.
Saw them live back in the arena rock days. Kansas. Boston. Styx journey. Foreigner. Real musicians playing real music. The late 70’s a good time to be a teenager.
Hey sweetheart I've been a journey fan since the early 80s and I absolutely fell in love with him and his music the lyrics are so beautiful I went to all his concerts so just seeing your reaction brought back memories cuz I had the same❤
Sarah - nice one - so refreshing and wholesome - your honesty - polar opposite of everyone's social media 'game face' - what you feel when you hear the song - the rest of us do to - peace
I really enjoy watching reaction videos, but I love yours the most. I really like how you introduce the song, give a few insights about it, and then we listen to the entire song together. You make a few comments that add to the experience instead of stopping the song multiple times. Please keep them coming - you got my like and subscribe.
Today's seniors, myself included, had THE best music to grow up on....Steve Perry, Michael McDonald and so many others...great music; lyrics you can hear and understand clearly; touching lyrics....great musich back then.
My all time favorite song, singer, group when I was a kid at 14 when this song came out. I first heard it on someone’s boom box while I was on a bus trip going to band camp. Loved it the first time I heard it. The songs of the 70s and 80s….. Wooooo! What a time to be a teenager! I’m glad to see my children’s generation is enjoying this amazing band I so loved.
I'm a 52 Year old Woman and after years of hearing Faithfully I wind up getting tears in my eyes. Jonathan Cain did a perfect job at writing this song.
Hello Leslie, how're you doing? Your comments caught my attention and that is why I am reaching out to you. Your fan love for me warms my heart, Thank you! It's nice meeting you here.
Im 61 and now retired after welding for the same company for 30 years in Texas. We were allowed to have mp3 players because we welded the same things over and over. Add that to the heat of the Texas summers and cold winters and it was easy to see why most of our welders only stayed until they could find other jobs. Allowing me to listen to music is what kept me there. I listed to mostly 80's rock. The memories that came with that music always put me in a special time and place for me. The memories made my days go by so much faster with much less stress. Before I knew it I had worked there 30 years. I still only listen to the 80's music till this day due to all the great concerts and memories. 😊
