The stream ending was an absolute mic drop from Pokemon Company: ➡Announce Legends Kalos Z game ➡ *_Refuses to elaborate_* ➡ *_Ends the stream there_*
@@SamiUploadsVideos. Well at the same time, Legends Arceus had a small amount of gameplay that they showed when it was first revealed and it also had a somewhat specific release date by saying early 2022. My guess is that while yes, development is still early, I'm thinking they didn't show any gameplay because of a potential next gen Nintendo console, whether it's called Switch 2 or something else. No gameplay combined with the fact that there's no specific month/day or even like an early 2025/ spring, summer, winter release specified for Z-A has me thinking that they're developing for a new console and they're waiting for Nintendo to officially reveal said console, and then sometime afterwards gameplay and release dates and all that good stuff will roll in for Z-A. Just my prediction at least
@hhugoroch1529 we have no idea what the game play will be. If this is taking place after the war hinted at in X/Y then pokemon battles would be a thing and in the trailer we literally saw a battle.
I love how Game Freak waited till 2025 (hopefully a launch title for the switch 2) to release this game, they will have time to polish the game. As someone who loved Pokemon X and Y but felt robbed, i am so happy right now, its not just a continuation, its a Legends continuation, i am so hyped right now
It says on the trailer "available in Switch systemS" so yeah, probably is gonna be the last on Switch but also available for Sw2. Let's hope for the best
This is 100% a Switch and Switch 2 game. So it all depends when the new system will launch. Because Legend Z will release after the new system is released.
This is going to be so good. It seems to be based on the Haussmanian renovation of Paris in the 19th century, and the idea of having a Pokémon game in the industrial revolution is insane.
The Pikachu animation from the 2013 X and Y reveal being in this trailer is 🤯. The future is now, thanks to science (if you know, you know). Pokémon Legends ZA or Legends AZ? Is it in the future or was that someone from the past envisioning modern Kalos?
I still remembered when Pokémon Z was cancelled, but it has made its grand return into something more exciting along with mega evolutions. Now the question remains is whether if X&Y will get a remake in future or not?
probably. In the same year we had a remake of gen 4 games + legends of arceus. Considering the game will only be playable in Lumiose and not in whole kalos. we probably gonna get a gen 6 remake, sometime in the future.
The thing with the Unown was hard to understand but I think I got it. At the beginning, the write "Pokemon Presents", it's just that the letters are mixed. With that logic, I think they say "See you ?" at the end.
@@funkycrawler619 probably after the war since it's a reconstruction. So the war would have destroyed the older version of the city and this would be the aftermath. Probably the main goal is to begin studying mega evolution.
That would be very odd since the War was 3000 years prior to Gen 6 lol and I have concerns if they had a modern Lumious right after haha@@jesterparty6947
We might be getting an older version of furfrou since we see the pokemon colored by typing. But furfou is colored pink. So it might have been a fairy/normal type but lost it fairy typing for some reason in the future.
So excited that we finally going back to Kalos! Was waiting for this for a long time. 11 years ago and still the only game we had in Kalos. The region deserves it so much!
Any new megas will likely be; 1. Legendary Pokemon 2. This games version of nobles 3. The starter trio 4. If any more probably the original Kalos Starters
Pokémon Legends Z-A bet will be a futuristic with Mega’s instead of regional variants like in Arceus. This doesn’t mean we aren’t getting Unova remakes in 2024 👀 we still might
I told myself before the direct I wish pokemon would make a game that leaned into the urban environment design again like in Unova/Kalos/the Anime so this trailer made me so excited + megas are back!
I mean dropping a Legends Zygrade trailer and then just dipping is iconic, especially since the fact that they are working on it now but it comes out next year means they're hopefully taking their time and moving away from the one game a year release schedule, which was the reason for the decline in Pokemon games as soon as they did. i would be surprised if they didn't release a game this year however as there was a lot of unexplained Johto in this trailer so I'm guessing we'll either get some sort of Johto remake this year or Legends- Zygrade will tie into the Johto region in some way- they did have the Unknown "introduce" the trailer. The fact that they didn't announce a Johto remake does make me lean more towards it being a tie in with Zygrade tho, cause why would you announce a game that's coming next year but not one that's coming this year?
Most if not everyone was not expecting a Legends game set in Kalos to be called "Legends Z-A". If X and Y were references to the x-axis and y-axis(considering Pokémon X & Y were the first 3D or 3DS games), could Z-A be referring to something in the field of math, science, or computers? As far as the fact that this comes out in 2025 goes, I hope that it comes out in November or December of 2025 rather than some time within the first half of 2025. After looking at the logo for a bit, I noticed something about the Z and A. While the Z has hexagons within it, the A has plant imagery within it. Assuming that the Z refers to Zygarde, the A might refer to a legendary or mythical Pokémon that will premier in this game. I do hope that AZ's Eternal Flower Floette becomes a Pokémon that we can obtain or at least battle in this upcoming game. We've known about it and its signature move Light of Ruin for so long. As far as Mega Evolution is concerned, I hope that we get not just the Megas from X/Y and OR/AS, but also new Megas. I'd love to see Mega Evolutions for the Kalos starters, some Kalos Dex Pokémon, and others, especially a Mega for Flygon and Milotic. It always felt weird that the only Kalos Pokémon that could Mega Evolve was Diancie. There were Alolan Pokémon that had signature Z-Moves and Galarian Pokémon that could Gigantamax. I'm curious to see whether Legends Z-A will take place before or after the events of X & Y.
Here are my initial guesses for Z-A: - Every Mega-compatible Pokemon will be available (including Mewtwo, Rayquaza, and Diancie). - Starters: Snivy, Scorbunny, and Popplio; third stages get futuristic themes (like neon lights, video game sports, and virtual idols). - Hoopa may be involved in the story, going by the plan's hoop-like symbol. (The text below the symbol seems to be "QUASAR" or something.) - AZ and Eternal Flower Floette may also play a part. - The "A" in the logo may represent a new Legendary Pokemon. - The game starts with Lumiose City's destruction, and the main story is building a new version (using old blueprints provided by AZ for inspiration).
Like 10 minutes before the start of the Pokemon presents I said in a chat something about them doing a Legends game set in the future on a whim. I didn't think I would be right.
@@shadowoflugia I think the implication is that the original was destroyed during the war and needs redeveloping, which would put the game post war, pre xy lumiose
hopefully the fact that Legends: AZ doesn't come out before 2025 means that Gamefreak realized thanks to Palworld how well a Pokémon game with good visuals would sell and are trying to improve their graphics
honestly at this point i care less about whether the graphics improve or not and more about whether they have time to complete the actual content and gameplay features
I'm super happy with this. Were finally getting Pokémon Z after so many years. And it may be for Switch 2 since its 2025. It's a good thing they are skipping a whole year and actually listening to fans and taking their time. This has potential to be amazing. Oh, and I'm hyped for new Kalosian forms and new MEGAS!!!! And for clarification, this game is a Legends game, so it is NOT in the future like many people have been speculating, it takes place in the past 3000 years ago during/ after the Great Pokémon war that destroyed Lumiose City, that's why they are Re-developing it again with the redevelopment plan. Plus, the name makes sense. Its Z-A because of the character AZ from X and Y.
I think the rumors that a by-the-numbers gen 5 remake being made by a third party were actually true, but after the failure of BDSP they withheld the announcement, and decided to revise the game instead. I find it easily imaginable that their goal was to release that and the new legends back to back, since a gen 5 and gen 6 game within a year of each other would blow more minds than any other Switch announcement so far. Sad it didn't work out.
Its awesome we are getting another Legends game, those are fresh and fun. But the question for the remakes of Gen 5 black and white are still unanswered. But this announcement was for "NEW" games, Black and White Remakes are technically new. ILCA could be working on those and the announcement will come later; who knows... Either way, Im excited for 2025 for this game for sure, but will still look forward to Gen 5 as well.
so z and a and legends are separate games is what I think? it said, releasing simultaneously. also, kinda let down, tbh:/ I'm excited for ZA, but I definitely wish it was unova or johto
As a kalos/gen 6 lover I am absolutely THRIVING. My crops are watered I am living. Finally we are eating good. I'm holding my hoopa confined plush so close rn
Following the franchises double releases explains the “simultaneously” part. This tells me they are doing 2 different legends games. One that will explain/ be in the past (A) and then one that will be the future (Z)
That's why it's called Pokemon Legends Z-A because its usually takes place before the original game comes up. The holographic presentation is just a blueprint for redeveloping the urbanize Lumiose City. The key words here we know it's before XY is the "A Vision of beautiful coexistence between people and Pokemon..." means that there are still conflict with the relationship if pokemon and humans. Modern eras are now getting along with pokemon but here it's to coexist. Also not a coincidence that they choose Kalos after Paldea because Paldea is a representation of Spain so it's near France which Kalos is based on. Not gonna be surprised if they mentioned Paldea and Galar (representation of UK) because they were in war before.
I excite about Z-A, but is it me or is strange that it being release in 2025 instead of 2024 Christmas time. That mean there going to be 10 to 11 months of no profits to make for Pokemon company/Game Freak? I'm thinking more DLC to fill in the void.
Literally, the only mind-blowing thing about this Pokémon Presentation was the announcement for the upcoming Legends game. The rest were nothing but mobile games and microtransactions.
Am I the only one that slightly disappointed that we didn’t really get anything for this year as as far as the mainline game? Yes I know we got legends for next year but it just feels lackluster.
The unknown spelled out the Japanese name that means “possession” Could the thing at the end be a Delta, meaning it spans two regions? It would make sense because Z series and Delta series were both end game, one from XY and the other from ORAS, the games where Megas are present
@@DigitamaHatch it also says “releasing simultaneously.” Is this implying two games, a past and future version, then, if not getting to explore more than just one city?
Man not gonna lie kinda upset and super excited. On one hand I really wanted a legends game based in unova or B/W 3 and I’m not super interested in megas ( but that will probably change when I see the new megas if I’m being honest). On the other hand I love that it’s a new legends game based on the future possibly. And with megas in a legends style game will be totally awesome
The official Japanese account confirms that the Lumiose we see on the trailer is different from the "previous" version (in XY). We don't know if the game is set in the present or in the future, but we know the city seen in the trailer is not at the same point in time as in XY.
The new Legends game was probably gonna come out this year for the big holiday title because switch 2 was gonna come out this year too but since Switch 2 was delayed to 2025 Legends was delayed too. Probably looks much better on switch 2 so that explains why they didnt show any in game footage at all and why there is no big pokemon game for 2024.
I stopped playing Pokémon for a while after black and white. Got back into it with sword and shield and legends of arceus and stopped there again. No idea what’s in Kalos but I’m excited to go into it as something completely new!
I actually predict that Froakie, Litten and Chiqarita are gonna be the Starters with new regional variant forms, but I just had another thought! If Mega Evos are back, does that mean we can expect a few more new ones as well? AND even a Kalos regional variant forms?! I hope so! Also, with the digital TCG, at least you don’t have to worry about ruining the physical cards, misplacing them or having them stolen.
It's so exciting that we basically got nothing we expected, just none big, awesome curveball. And they're seemingly not rushing it. No new games this year means MAYBE they're giving proper dev time for once
What?! Pokemon legends KALOS?! Woo , Let's go!! I can't believe we are getting another pokemon legends game and it takes place in the kalos region this time! completely unexpected. I am so hyped for next year.
Half disappointed bc it started out feeling like they were dropping Johto hints (Unown, Silver, Raikou specifically getting highlighted) and I'd love to see anything giving my favorite region a little more love, but I can't deny that seeing Kalos out of nowhere got me hyped
Simultaneously? So are they splitting Z and A? Are we getting the beginning and the end of this new redevelopment for Lumiose city? (It could be simultaneously just as in everyone gets it the same day?) So many questions, and SO happy they aren’t pushing it out this year!
Legends Arceus is the only pokemon game I've picked up, and enjoyed, since XY, so I'm glad to see that we're getting a New Legends Game set in Kalos after Z was sorely missed. I assume that they're going to wait until next year to announce the next regular main series game though.
It’s rlly smart that Pokemon decided to announced ZA which Im guessing is Zygardes game at the start of the year of the dragon and then release it in the year of the snake
Hey aDrive, just a heads up, it says urban REdevelopment plan, which means the urban city already existed, this might be a sequel to x/y, not a past game
I think lumiose will act like jubilfe in Legends Arceus, but you are more interactive with the building aspect. Either in the future for a rebuild after a dangeous event or right before it was constructed.
Starters will be Chikorita, Tepig and Popplio. They will alternative final forms. No megas for them just like XY starters didn’t get any at the time. Chespin and Fennekin will get megas. Ash-Greninja will be relabeled a mega. Potentially Charzard Z and Mewtwo Z Gen 7-9 most like to get new megas. Around 8 new regional forms/evolutions. That “A” might be a Lambda (Greek L) to tie into the Alpha, Omega and Delta of ORAS.
Who’s to say that this can’t take place in the future? They clearly have the catching mechanic, battling mechanic, and pokeballs aren’t a foreign concept. The clothing is modern. Who says we’re not developing a more futuristic Lumiose City? Clemont was tinkering with technology in Gen 6 too. It would explain the increase in Mega Pokes (finding more “lost” mega stones) in the region. The drawing of Pikachu looked mechanical until he was colored in.
OK I’m gonna remind everybody to keep their expectations at Bay because you know we already know what happened with Pokémon s&v I know it’s not really the same as Scarlett and Violet but still we gotta keep our expectations at certain level
This is a legends game though. PLA imo is the best Pokémon game of all time and this is not only another legends game but the main Pokémon is the one we’ve been waiting for for a decade to have its own game. If it’s anything like pla then it’s gonna be an amazing game centered in kalos
Not surprised Black and white didn’t get announced, the pattern has been: Gen 1 Gen 2 Gen 1 remake Gen 3 Gen 4 Gen 2 remake Gen 5 Gen 6 Gen 3 remake Gen 7 Gen 8 Gen 4 remake Gen 9 We’ll probably get Gen 10 before Gen 5 remake
I have been waiting for a Gen 5 remake for so long. I am excited for a new legends style game and the mega evolution gimmick to be coming back but I saw so much potential for Gen 5 and now seeing that I’m going to have to wait until late 2025 at the earliest for that game is really devastating. I started my very first ever Pokémon journey in generation 5 and with some of my favorite Pokémon never even making it to the Switch was crazy. I personally feel like the DLC for “going back to Unova” wasn’t good enough to even start as a true representation for what Unova truly encapsulated. Honestly even if the Switch 2 is announced along side this new legends game I don’t think I’ll be buying the new switch until a Gen 5 remake is announced to make it on the console.
I was JUST thinking about replaying X and Y as it was my introduction back into the main games after skipping gen4 and 5. And I really liked it as well as mega evolutions
Really excited because Kalos is one of the only regions I’ve never really experienced because that’s around when I dropped Pokemon. I picked it back up when the Let’s Go games came out on switch.
With such an emphasis on past & future in Gen 9, is it possible we see some sort of past & future timeline in PLZA? It would certainly align with the futuristic vibes in the trailer. Also have to think PLZA will probably center around AZ and his Floette probably right?
Though I was hoping for Legends Kyurem, I am not upset we get Pokemon Z finally which already looks promising. The fact that it takes in the future and seems to allude to King AZ, I am happy Kalos is getting closure to what was a very half-baked story.
Pokemon Legends Arceus was in the past, Pokémon Legends Z is clearly going to be set in the future, like Yin and Yang. I'm just glad they didn't announce BD/SP 2:Electric Boogaloo Gen 5 remakes.
Super excited!!! 👏🏼👏🏼 Now the we know what the logo looks like, im pretty sure it would be base on zygarde and a misterios legendary Pokémon. The patterns on the Z is totally the patterns Zygarde has. Plus is the Kalos region.
