Doctor Engineer, what you are trying to do in engineering terms is to give the primary beams a short span and the secondary beams can now run on the long side. It saves cost and makes a stronger structure. I have been thinking of making the lower part of those poles made from copper treated timber. I mean those greenish poles. That is a copper oxide treatment.

I actually love this, I'm a 21yr old lady currently pursuing my degree. Looking forward to starting a small farm, so that by the time am done with the degree, next year that is, I'll fully venture into farming.
