I don’t watch Dream but damn it was really sad and ironic how the community that so desperately wanted to see his face got what they wanted and when he didn’t meet their standards they bullied him into putting the mask back on, I hope he gets better

If you’ve ever worn a mask that lets you see through hundreds of tiny holes like that, the worst it does to your vision is give a couple transparent blotches in your sight, due to how close they are to your face. The camera will automatically adjust the focal point, so it shows the mask as more disruptive than it actually is.
It's distracting is what it is, sincerely hope he only put it on in the drive through as a gag. You don't play with other people's lives because you can "mostly see fine" through something

I have sunglasses from some event as a child that have the hole thing. And once you’re wearing them your eyes adjust pretty easily and you can see pretty much fine.

Honestly, the Dream situation is getting so out of hand, i dont even know what Dream can do anymore without all the stans and antis just freaking out (and the fans being dragged into shit). The dude cant stop nor continue without atleast 70% of the people making a big deal out of everything. It's probably also because stans and antis see everything as mutually exclusive and refuse to see situations and people as complex, with multiple facets and reasons. On top of that, people like stans and antis really _have_ to be involved in the drama and with the person (i've noticed how antis are often times quicker on tweets han stans. Almost as if _they have notifications on for a person they hate_ ). They feel the need to stand in the middle of it (and also giving these streamers more attention). They cant distance themselves from the situation, which is why this whole community is so toxic in the first place. My life turned immediantly for the better as soon as i stopped being actively involved in the communities of mcyt and just enjoy the content when i stumble upon it.

But odds of getting hurt when driving with the mask on are a little high. I've got a mandalorian helmet that has fantastic vision, but it cut down on my vision just slightly so I refuse to wear it while driving. A lot of cosplayers with excellent vision helmets also won't wear it for driving The vision on that mask is not good

As someone who used to do fencing with big wire mesh masks, the camera probably doesn’t accurately represent it. Your eyes do an surprisingly good job of adapting to it and after a bit your vision feels almost normal, you can read and see details fine

The thing was that Dream's whole identity revolved around the mask. The "mysterious man behind the mask" is a cool trope he embodied, and then he just took it off.
