I graduated this past May and will be debt free in July (only possible because I'm living at home, too!) You must feel so relieved girl, congratulations! 👏🏼 Omg 20 hour weekly commute, so happy you're done with that!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I’m about to graduate this May and I’m running back and forth on if I want to move back home and save money or if I want to officially move out. I’m definitely going to apply back home and where I want to.

congrats! did you consider applying elsewhere while you were working the low paying job? or was it the position that generally paid poorly?

that job was the standard rate for entry level in my field so I worked there for a year and looked for somewhere that would pay me more!

I stayed home for undergrad and saved my money on tuition money that my grants did not cover, graduated with no debt in the end. also community college and transferred to a more affordable 4-year university. living at home sucks but not being able to save for loans sucks even more.

If you don't live at home I highly recommend budgeting. I use the Mint app to help with my budgeting. Sometimes saying no to things (clothes, eating out etc.) to save money is also worth it in the long run.
