LOOKING GREAT John!!! That’s in a nut shell how mine will be eventually. I will have an “island” with drawers and electrical in the middle for cleaning, setting up rifles and working on them or whatever else. I’ll probably run mine along two walls, middle to middle because that room is around 17’8”-10” X 21’-8”-10”......way more room than what I have now😉. Looking great though!! Basically how I imagined mine also.
@@FClassJohn Thanks John between you and Erik Cortina, you two are fun to watch and learn from! I do agree with the T-track in the island like you had said, I think it will be handier there but like you said run it how it is and you may or may not put T-track in.
I like that you put some cushioning / padding in front of your bench. I got something similar after I got tired of looking for spent primers and small screws below my bench and/or safe. I might upload a video of my reloading room, not because I have anything terrible special, but I manage to fit a ridículos amount of equipment in a 2 square meter (21.5 sq feet) room. I used a lot of verticality to take advantage of the available space (the room is narrow but rather high). Reminds me of those ultra small Hong Kong apartments where the furniture is hanging on the ceiling when not in use. I really made some real life Tetris wizardry to make it work. lol
Nice setup. I’ll be setting up mine this weekend. Putting it in my bedroom since I don’t want my equipment to be in garage where I can’t control the heat and cold. Problem is that I only have 6 feet x 2 feet to work with !
Looks great John , showing some really nifty ideas and functional ones too , sweet setup of turning part of the garage into a dedicated man cave space nice 😁👍
Looks good John. A question: I see that it's set up in your garage, how stable is the climate in the room? I live in Texas, and most of the year is hot and humid, not ideal conditions for handling powder and primers (not to mention my aging body). I walled in the garage opening, made an architectural carport to match our house, raised the slab to house level, wired and insulated for HVAC. I have half of it for my stuff, and the other is laundry, freezer, storage, clutter. All of my reloading stuff is removable and lives in a rolling tool box. It takes me about 15 minutes to dig everything out and set up. I have my computer and a TV there too. It's my cave, and the best one I have had yet. I wish I could afford Fclass, I do a lot of revolver, 6.5CM, and my main area is .22LR. Keep it up John, I learn every time I see one of your videos.
While not ideal I've learned to work within it's limits pretty well. Someday I'd love to have a setup like you described but this house just isn't conducive for it. So I've learned how to work within what I have the best I can. Thanks for the support and I'll keep working on videos.
Looks great John! Thought for your videos: would an overhead, ceiling mounted articulating arm for the camera work? Just a thought for quick set up and storage. Pull down when needed. There’s gotta be something out there.
Yeah maybe. I'm using an adjustable arm but I do have to loosen and reposition it when I change. I'm sure I'll eventually find something better but I appreciate the support and suggestions.
@@FClassJohn I was thinking something like you see in the dentist office. The arm that houses the X-ray head. It spring tensioned light a hobby lamp arm.
It turned out to be an awesome reloading area. The one thing I didn’t see is a bench mounted vise. Is it mounted somewhere around the periphery somewhere out of the camera's view or don’t you use a permanently mounted one?
I like how you have this set up. It looks great! Do you stand up while you’re working or use a stool or chair? Keep the videos coming. Yours are very helpful.
Nice setup. So many changes are you still aware of where all the stuff is when you need it? Hehe. Do you do your own rifle bedding? Would be nice to see pro bedding job.
Thank you and yeah I need to re-learn where everything is.Also, I have a new stock coming this month and I'll be doing a bedding brief video for youTube but the full length video will be on Patreon
