I bought an Eley hose reel, a flexzilla hose, and a flexzilla hose reel. So far so good. I'll have to try to keep you posted on my opinion on these products over the years. You shouldn't have too many problems with assembly, as the instructions that come with the Eley hose reel are very straight forward, but, if you are looking for more videos, here are the links I referenced in the video:

B-hyve timer; in the front there is a button. Long press until the light turns green and it will manually turn it on without the app. A quick press will turn it off. Use the app to set the default timer duration; example: I set mine to run for 30 minutes when turned on manually.

Personally, I got tired of dragging long garden hoses all over my 5 acres. So I took the time and effort to dig trenches and run PVC pipes to all the different areas where I need water at and put in the outside water faucet that doesn’t freeze in the cold winter weather. Now 10-25 ft of hose gets me anywhere I need to water. Working on putting in auto/timer water system in the gardens so there’s little to no hand watering needs too! Try to cut labor times down as much as possible to have more time for other projects that also need done too!

I’m surprised I made it almost to the end but when he started showing the hose splitters and the short section buried at the gate, I could take it any more. Too much talking about random stuff. The 17 min video was a hose reel review? I have pvc everywhere with 25 ft hoses…

We have been using Gardena quick-connects with everything for well over a decade and they work as well now as when we first bought them. All of out hoses, the automatic watering system and the pressure washer all have them and even our Craftsmen lawn mower has a compatible spigot pre-installed for self-cleaning.

Dramm Quick connects have been fantastic through heavy use. Each end of our three hoses has a quick connect (so two per hose). Plus, the Dramm 300 shut off valve on each tasking end of the hoses. Every hose attachment gets a male end quick connect (sprinklers, watering timers, watering wands, single task hose nozzles, etc). It is no longer a task to do any water work, all seemless. Taking the hoses in for winter storage is a breeze! This is the third season and I recommend them.

Instead of buying more awful plastic garbage, I got myself a Jack Daniels half barrel from Lowe's and drilled a hole to feed the hose through. Coiling the hose up in there is super easy, it looks much nicer in the yard than any plastic reel and when it rains the backyard smells faintly of aged whiskey.

I looked online at the very same model you destroyed at the beginning of your video. Lol! Reviews pointed out how that model also leaks... I happened on to Eley!! The rest is history! I ordered the reel, 100' of their hose, the quick disconnects, and all their nozzles. Absolutely satisfied!! Incredible quality! I mounted mine parallel on the lower deck structure. 👍🍻 No leaks! When I first got started in lawn care I always bought used or consumer grade equipment because it was cheaper. My first edger was a Ryobi weed eater with the "attachment system." It lasted me about 4 months and I ran it until it wouldn't start anymore. I threw it in a dumpster and bought a STIHL FC-90 for around $400. For most people that's a lot of money to just pull out your pocket, but it's actually cheaper in the long run. That cheap Joe Homeowner weed eater may only be $95 but you'll end up buying another one every season. My commercial grade STIHL equipment has lasted me 6 years so far. If I kept buying the cheapie I would have spent at least $600 in my six years of business compared to $400 for dependability, capability, easy to work on, ect.

Used to be that Craftsman made the best hose… black real rubber looked like it was made out of tires. Now I am looking for quick connections and hydraulic hose to use as a last forever garden hose

Eley standard capacity reels will hold 125 feet of 5/8 hose. Eley extra capacity (whats in this video) will hold 200" of 5/8 hose.

Are you using 3/4 or 5/8? And did you need the extension for the reel?
