I'm Exhausted! 

I say this is you and your Wife's first Christmas together in the cabin! A short "Hi" video to all of us and then go ahead and have your Christmas in Peace, just the 3 of you, seems more right to me.. Your Wife may or may not not wish to spend every minute on camera constantly. Merry Christmas to all 3 of you! Looking forward to whatever you decide :-). I love that poem.. and actually got to 'live' it you could say. One late winter's afternoon, way back around 1970? I was heading home, riding my little, old Morgan style horse on a shortcut through a field, heading into the woods, when it started to snow. It was so peaceful, the sound muffled by the snow, the sun but a pale disk. I just had to stop and drink it all in. I started to laugh when it finally dawned on me WHERE I actually was... in Derry NH ... on the Robert Frost Homestead there. I wonder if My horse thought it odd ... to stop with just THAT homestead there? AS I watched the woods fill up with snow. That sweet moment has been forever etched in my memory. Thanks to dear Robert Frost. And Thank You for taking the time to post the poem. Still makes me smile.

Brent is correct...partially. When Robert Frost penned the poem the word “Woods” was a metaphor for death. “Miles To go” is a reference to “life”. We could pick this poem apart and perhaps we would be the better for it. I would rather read the poem whilst enjoying a fine glass of McCallan next to a warm fire with my faithful Labradors beside me. Thank you so much Shawn for sharing a part of your life with me. I had an amazing experience in Vermont in 1993 during the "Storm of the century". I worked in ICU for a tiny hospital near Stowe Vt and lived 22 miles away with my husband and toddler daughter. Snow was always in the forecast for northern Vermont, but the edge in the weathermans voice both begged and demanded caution. So, that Friday, My husband drove me to work in the 4wd, and I packed a weekend bag of uniforms, clothes and toiletries. My family made it safely home 2hrs later in moderate snow, and I began my shifts. Then it really hit..and I mean hard. Having grown up in new England, I was no stranger to blizzard conditions, 1978 is still vividly etched in my mind...but this! Full white out within 3 feet. Hurricane force winds and temperatures in the single digits. Our hospital lost power around 2am Saturday morning, generators kicked in but it got cold. We bundled patients into sheets, blankets, coats, anything available. By daylight Saturday, it was evident that no one would be able to travel in to relieve us. Phone lines were down, but we had CB radio, as did many. The world out the windows was almost incomprehensible! The snow drifts ran from the hospital roof, covering everything in a roiling sea of white sparkle, no roads, no cars, just white whipping frantically, wildly about. I worked 21hrs, then took a shower and nap in the OR, while a scared, tired ER resident watched my heart patients. 4hrs later, I tucked the resident in at the desk and started a 22 hr shift. By Sunday night the village organized all townspeople with snow mobiles to transport any skilled medical professionals in to help us. Some staff members even skied in. By Monday noon after relief arrived, I was determined to get home. The snow plow truckdriver agreed to take me 14 miles to a country store. After a free meal and hot coffee, I told the kind old man at the store my story. The old Vermonter took me to as far as he could in a snow cat until we lost the road entirely and became hopelessly mired in 6 foot drifts. With no other choice, We then walked/swam through the bitter cold and driving snow. "The forest is so lovely, dark and deep " I silently said with each clawing step. We made it to the Lowel store with about an hour of daylight remaining. I'll never forget the hot coffee and hearth when I arrived there, and the warming sting of my cheeks. So close yet so far, I set off on foot for my own hearth and family, "I've miles to go before i sleep". After the 1st mile, the snow was chest high, the world was frigid, nearly unrecognizable, I had fallen into a desolate white, yet strangely beautiful snow globe. "Who's woods that is I do not know, his house is in the village though"...keep moving...lean forward harder, walk, swim? Its getting dark, follow the fence tops, or be lost, rest...No, you're baby needs you! "I've promises to keep, and a mile to go before. ...Through the ripping wind, I heard a snow mobile coming towards me. A dairy farmers son gave me a ride until we became hopelessly mired in drifts. Just then, I saw a tiny light through the swirling snow and smelled wood smoke.. We went the last 200 feet...miles to my home. The warmth of my family's hugs and home and the whoops of sheer joy will be with me.....until I sleep. A true story.

Boxing was traditionally a day for the servants of big households to celebrate their Christmas as they would be working on Christmas Day. @@mooseknuckle8334 some of it is true but not all of it. breast enlargement is only caused when estrogen becomes higher and imbalanced. its very rare! but your prostate has the chance to become bigger. your balls will shrink but not to the extend as some might think. testosterone also make blood thicker but with a small dose you these effects wont impact you in a negative way. its worth it in my opinion!

@@johnclarke2997 I am sure that Sean would be able to research how to built her a washing tub out of his stash of harvested lumber. And I don't mean a round scrub tub. I'm talking about a wooden wash tub with a built in dasher and a handle to rock the entire tub. The other option would be to find his wife an old fashion ringer washer that runs off propane, kerosene, or gas. That's what my grandma had before they ran electricity to the farmhouse in the 1940's. (Well before that it was a wash tub and elbow grease that got the clothes washed)
