Why your channel came to my thread is an amazing mystery. Our lives couldn’t be any different, but your life has utterly amazed me. I just watch you in wonder of your complete grace as a human being while running a sheep farm. I’m in awe of your physical capabilities as well as feeling humbled at your ability to smile . . . Even through your tears. You are currently #1 on my Wonder Woman List. I’ll keep watching in admiration.

I know this is an older video, but I loved it so much I just had to thank you for posting this. I have found that the more open we are about mental health issues, the more we learn we are not alone. Depression (and all its relatives) can hit without warning or come on slow and steady do you don't even realize it's happening to you. I am so happy for you that you've been able to discover ways of reclaiming your life and yourself. A world without Sandy smiles would just be missing so much! I love your strength, your strong sense of self, your compassion and your amazing resilience!

Sandi, you remind me of my Mom. Not in age but in personal power. My Dad died when I was 7 and my Mom chose to keep the farm and run it herself. She could have sold it or have given it back to the bank but she didn’t. Because of that life choice and sacrifice she made I was able to grow up free with animals and the ability to roam the Prairie at my pleasure. It shaped who I am today, free, empowered and super successful, the master of my own life and helping others do the same. Keep going! Never quit, never give up, never give in! Blessings.

Our laws changed in Canada when a western farming married couple split. When they went to court he hoped to get everything even though they both worked the farm. That all changed when it went to the highest court in Canada. Thanks to her, women have worth for all they do to contribute to the family. For that I am grateful as I'd be on government assistance today had this law not been forced to change. Proud of you and all you do to keep things running even through your not splitting up but are taking on the farm and all that goes with that. Thank you for sharing Sandy.
@robertsparling

So now women get the farm and the man goes on government assistance, and you call that progress. Then the farm fails because the woman cannot keep her strength for that type of work as long as a man, and they are both on government assistance. So the man loses, the woman loses, and the taxpayer loses. Great solution!

@@robertsparling Long term thinking, in the form of multiple years in advance, is the province of man alone. They are the right now thinkers, so what can we expect when they currently have more authority under the law than men have, since 1974, despite claims to the contrary.

That to me was one of the best videos I've watched in a very long time.. To see you two together and how much you love and care for each other is beautiful. Every marriage has its ups and downs but to get through them together and come out stronger says a lot about you both. And Sandi all one has to do is look in your eyes and you can see how much you love Mark. I'm not yet familiar with your pod cast as I've just discovered Sandi recently. But listening to you I can tell that you're a man with a purpose with a need to know and understand. So in time I hope to get caught up on you two. Sandi I think it was really sweet of Mark to list the people who can help you if you need it. Hope you have a safe and learning experience Mark, maybe I'll be able to find it and watch when you post something. In the meantime from an Older female in Oklahoma I admire the both of you and wish the best always Rusty

'Tis insane vicarious pleasure you provide dear girl. The only problem farmers have is there are no replacements for your piece of the action. With computers and videos you CAN run connections house to b-aaa-hn (in Massachusetts there AAHH no R's!). It's one of those things you don't plan for, but when it happens ...it's ALWAYS too late! Farmers get sick too...sick or just laid up for a stretch. DO you have a plan?

Insomnia is no joke. I started having mental health issues during babyland as well and the worst (btwn anxiety, depression, insomnia etc) was insomnia by far. There was one night where we all had the stomach flu to the point that I had garbage cans set up in rooms because the kids were too little to make it to the toilet, and Scott and I were sick too........and I preferred THAT to my typical night of insomnia because I wasn’t alone all night for once. Messed up. So grateful that period of my life is over. Now we just reach back to help others who might also be suffering. 🤷‍♀️

I’m so glad you take the time to show ALL the elements of farming. Taking care of the machines, planning the crops, caring for the land, harvesting, machine break downs, buying breeding stock, keeping the stock healthy, breeding, feeding, self vet work, working with a vet and other professionals to keep stock healthy. You have shown heartache and joy. You show that when a person goes to the store to buy food that it’s more than just picking a package up. Thank you!

Fabulous Q&A! I've only sibscribed for a short time...a few months ago I found you! I love, love sheep! My dad raised a few, hobby-like, while I was growing up. Your channel has brought back so many memories of childhood. Sheep get out but can never find their way back in! 1 or 2 bottle babies every year who became "special." Shearing every year & mom always made lunch for the shearer to join us. Our basketball net was nailed to the barn in the courtyard area. Couldnt dribble the ball, but we had wild competition half-court games while sheep ate or lay inside their tiny little barn & watched us! Our ram was Bill, a really angry son-of-a-gun, who ptobably hated basketball! Dodging him could be a challenge! So happy I found your family, & I'm enjoying everything about it! Thank you!

i watch a lot of your videos when i should be sleeping! Mainly at 2am in the morning! I love all of them. You show the long slog that farming is, not just the pretty things! I really felt the struggles in this video, but also the positivity! I was smiling throughout with how you both bounce off each other and it was lovely to see xx

Sandi, you and Mark rock. My wife and I love to be together. But, we also love our alone time. I support her as she does me. I watch you work in the barn and I don't know many men who work like you do. You are awesome. Like many of us in business, there are good times and some not so good but we manage and try to make lemonade out of the lemons. Good luck to both of you .🐑

You guys are so cute together! I grew up on a farm and I miss it everyday. I am now disabled and I work hard to try to do a little bit of farming stuff in town. I hate town but it is a temporary thing to my mind. I’m working on getting the town stuff together for my children so I can go farm with my brother and sister on the family farm in a few years.

Has anyone told you lately how amazing you are? You are one of the hardest workers I have ever seen. And being a mother and a wife on top of it I don’t think you give yourself the credit you deserve. I have been going through watching your past videos and have been amazed how much of yourself you put into every thing you do. I know you are having a hard time with your husband gone hang in there and God Bless hope the days get easier for you.

Sandi Brock listening to you on your channel you seem like a true blue caring person. Also kinda what you see is what you get and I really like that I enjoy watching. Best Regards have you ever talked about how important it is not to cut corners and skimp to up your profits? Especially on feeding low quality better to feed good quality and less of it than a pool quality and more of it. At least what I have always found with my horses, goats and dogs. Thank you

Going it alone can be done. My husband left 3 1/2 years ago to find himself lol. My biggest challenge has been the power tools to learn. Equipment and livestock have never been a problem. My farm is not as large as yours here in Alberta Canada. Just remember to have faith in yourself. God bless

Raising your self-awareness , esteem, and confidence doing it yourself, even though it’s very hard. Good to know so many are ready to lend a hand. Careful not to get too tired or worn out. You need to stay well for your family and the sheep. And for us too, as we all have gotten attached to you and your work through you vlogs. So much responsibility, but fun, valuable, and purposeful. Thank you!

My 'just in case' list was 3 pages long, after uncle broke his back. Six weeks of farming, sheep herding, horses and dog care. I managed ok. Got minor zaps from electric fence until I figured out where h e double hockey sticks the shut off was. He is back running it full time now, but has 4-H kids that help during lambing time. Can't wait to see how Gallagher system is going help this spring. We bought a used one.

I don't know how I got here but I've seen quite a few of your videos now and enjoyed it very much. I love seeing real people in real life and was pleasantly surprised to find you are Canadian!! I live on the shore of Lake Huron near Goderich. Your work ethic is amazing (I could never do a sliver of what you do in a day) and I'm glad good people are raising sheep with a loving spirit. This is how farming is supposed to be!!
