Goodness, that notebook was a nail biter! You’re a better person than me, I would’ve tossed that vinyl and cut a new one. Glad you kept it in the video though, you showed how a mishap can be repaired. I think that happens to all of us. As always, love your videos.
Yes, I'm glad you kept that in because I would have tossed it and got a new one too. And it's nice to see a pro struggle a little bit to show us how to do it. Thank you! I love your videos.
Bethany, you make me smile. My family is always saying I can be a bit “extra” because I like to have everything coordinating as well. I’m currently working on decor for my quilt/craft room. My husband has six more years with the State Dept and then we will be on the search for our “forever” home. I’m already planning out my future craft area, it keeps me grounded when I feel overwhelmed with where we are living and where we might end up.
I mostly craft for myself. Right now I have two hoodies and one tee waiting in the wings for some magic. I recently lost weight and those are part of my new fall/winter wardrobe.
I wish I had, had you by my side yesterday! I'm going on holiday in six weeks so I've decorated mine and my Son's suitcases, passport covers, clothing etc. I bought some travel bottles for things like shampoo and conditioner and obviously they needed personalising.... Now, I'm currently decorating also, so my weeding tools are in a box somewhere which means all of my weeding I've had to use my nails 😅 I managed one bottle perfectly but the rest of them were no goes! I ended up giving up after around an hour and poured a glass of wine in stead! I may try again another day, we'll see 😂 ... I wish I had your patience!
I love your videos! Also the fact that you are Godly and proud of it! This makes me more inspired. I recently watched how to decorate the cricut maker/explorer. I have been wanting to do this so badly! Thank you for thinking of almost everything and sharing your gift with us! You're amazing!! ❤
I constantly craft for others. I have 10 Grandkids. Back to school is a big time as I add names to their equipment/clothing. I finally made myself a quilt this year. I have 2 wall hangings to make for our home, but I have 4 tree skirts and stockings to finish in buffalo plaid pattern for all of them. I basically took the summer off. Now I need to kick start myself to get going for the holidays.
❤ I mostly craft for myself & my husband (no babies, yet). I made gifts with my Cricut for my parents for Mother’s Day & Fathers Day this year….there’s something to be said when you see a loved one’s face light up over what you made for them 😁 I’m so happy you made this video, Bethany - I’ve been hoping we would see a video of crafts just for you! I’m looking forward to your fall videos - I’ve just started crafting for fall myself.
🩷 I’ve learned so much about being patient and not giving up on a project from your “oopsies”! Thank you yet again. Now I need to go look up the James Method!
@Bethadilly It was amazing!! Also, I don't normally comment but you are my favorite to watch on RU-vid! I LOVE all your videos and ideas. (And your nails are always on point! What are the colors you typically wear?) Keep up the great content! 🙌
I watched a video you posted about 3 months ago. It was about Target dollar spot Cricut jobs. You put “Home sweet home”on a Bumble bee pillow. I was so impressed how you redid the “H”. I enjoy your videos. Thank you
I have so many projects on my list, it's been too much going on for me to be able to prioritize my crafting. And that makes me so unhappy, because crafting is such a huge part of me and my happiness. Both crafting for myself and to make cards/gifts for others. The cricut scrapers are so hard, it makes it so hard to work with. Oh, I have not realized that I can check what temperature I should use on their website, the Swedish version doesn't have a heat guide, so thank you for the tip. Of course I watch the whole video 💜You can also use vinyl on the binding if you feel like it's to much of a blank space. That basket came out gorgeous! My favorite was the binder. It really shows what you can do with something looking "so boring".
❤ When I am working with little fonts or images, like you were working with for the highlighters, I like to reverse weed by placing my transfer tape over the whole image and weeding off of the transfer tape
❤ It’s great to do for yourself sometimes. Mine are all grown, but I remember having a hard time getting “me time” when they were young. Time with your babies and time for yourself are both wonderful and necessary. Your little ones get a happier mom and it makes their childhood that much more precious. Take care!
I have followed you since I believe shortly after you started your channel and have never commented! You were one of the first channels I started following after I got my first Cricut in November 2019. I mostly craft for others since I really love making gifts for friends and family to enjoy. But I really need to start making more stuff for myself though! 😊
🧡I absolutely love the basket idea! I am going to make one for myself to carry all my goodies out on the porch when I read on the cooler afternoons! I also adore the Pray Big Worry Small sign. I will have to make that as soon as possible for my office! Thanks so much for the wonderful ideas!
All of your projects are wonderful! I love the basket and your perseverance with that binder! I totally get that. I have had many times where the vinyl just did not want to cooperate. The end results are totally worth it.
I love your videos. This was a great one! I absolutely loved your binder idea. I'm going to use that idea to organize some crochet patterns. Thanks for keeping the mistakes in. Keep the great videos coming!
Love this entire tutorial - the binder is giving me life…. Thank you for sharing your time and talent - you are just Awesome..!! Continue to be blessed to bless others…!!
Loved everything, Bethany! So inspiring to see how you deal with whoopsies. I have been struggling with some text on a project I am working on for a neighbor. You have given me motivation to try again today and to know that a small mistake doesn’t have to ruin the whole project. Thanks for all you do.
Totally loved this video! I also loved the theme of it. I have been looking for a way to dive deeper into the Bible and I am so grateful for the your video! I went to Target this morning after church and picked up the basket and the binder. I ordered the pdf version of The James Method. I ordered the 2 books off of Amazon and I am so excited to be able to expand my knowledge and faith. I feel as I am set up for success. Thank you!! Sherry 🙂💕
You are so patient! I would have given up very quickly. I've been there! But picking the wrong font is how you learn. Thank you so much for your patince and encouragment
I love all the projects you made! So many ides! I also love all of Lauren’s verse mapping supplies and resources! I have many of them. Such a great way to dig into God’s word. Love the basket idea!
Love all the craft that you did the last one when the vinyl stick everywhere make me laught because the same thing happen to me and it is so difficult to stay calm and not panic hahaha but you resolve it very well thanks for your video 😊
First off, you inspired me to make a sign for myself and add a vinyl saying to my prayer/study journal. So, thanks. Now, I have a tip for you. When you are cutting intricate fonts and designs, do a ln offset of around 2.5 and then cut the vinyl off the bigger piece in a square . First weed out the square and then all you are left with is the design and the offset. That way there is much less sticky mess when you weed off the offset, leaving just the design. Then take the scrap vinyl you pulled off, was it up and stuck it to your craft mat near where you are working. Then as you pick off the tiny bits with your weeding tool, they stick it wonderfully to the scrap vinyl instead of your hands. I hope all that made sense.
@bethadilly I was just watching a video about the Cricut debossing tool and was wondering if you have ever used it. You and Cathy Z inspired me as a mainly Cricut crafter to try card making and I love trying to incorporate my Cricut into my cards. I'd love to see a video about the debossing tip!!❤ your videos!
Of course still watching! And I love the basket, such a neat idea. I'm single, live alone - but I do think gathering things to do in a cute basket is great. I would most likely up a cute basket with various types of watercoloring, alcohol ink, and colored pencils pens and marker and some of the cute coloring books I've purchased. To have something really cute like that would be an encouragement to work on them! I can probably come up with other types of baskets! Pretty to use as decorations too! Actually my whole house is my craft room. I have various areas set up to do different things. My love is my ScanNCut so it's on my dining table - ready to use! Thanks for the encouragement! 💗😘 I think Mr. Pen is a brand that does pens and markers to use in Bibles. Have you tried those?
I love Daily Grace and how sweet your basket turned out! If you haven't heard of "Write the Word" journals by Cultivate What Matters, they're my newest obsession and I think you would love them! hehehe I'll have to check out verse mapping, I've never heard of that! Love all the things you made per usual!😘
I always do crafting for others but eventually make things for myself. I really enjoyed the videos you made when you were demonstrating appliqué and embroidering things for your kiddos. I also embroider and use some of your tips. To let you know about your Tender Touch dilemma I found a Sulky blog that said if you use steam it will help your tender touch stay fast longer. I can attest to this I always use my steam iron and maybe one out of 10 sheets comes off. The blog also said if your Tender Touch isn’t staying adhered the issue is with the application of it. My main gripe with the Sulky Tender Touch is that it does not have definitive directions on the packaging. It’s very vague. I found this info buried on the blog. The lady also said you could use pinking shears or decorative scissors (like the curved kind that cut little scallop edges) to cut out your Tender Touch. She said that helps the edges adhere better. Thank you for the videos. I love your channel. Your attention to detail is unparalleled and all of RU-vid crafting. One more thing you have the best craft room I’ve ever seen.
I like that your basket is wire, because regular baskets are a pain to dust! If you want to do the spine of your binder, open the binder up all the way on a flat surface with the spine face up. That will loosen that skinny little pocket & allow your paper to slide in. If it’s still wanting to bend, back it with a stiffer paper. I did this with my children’s church class, allowing them to choose colors, cut-outs & such on my Cricut. I actually put their names on the spine piece of paper, so it was under the plastic. 😊 I’ve been seeing the James method around & have been curious to look into it. My hubby (a pastor) is presently preaching through the book of James. 😊❤️
Oh my goodness! I could relate to you when those tiny words were so difficult to weed. I just made Taylor Swift song and album titles for my niece to place on a shadow box she made after attending the concert. The fonts were scripts and micro fine. I had to use every bit of patience, but I did it!
