I have a question for you Greg: How do you have a sealed copy of Mega Man 2 (in great condition) that you haven’t graded yet? Curious the story behind that.

The vast majority will definitely go towards buying a few games I've been wanting for a long time! Turning 200 games into 5 games will be wonderful haha

They are out of my house now (not sold just yet) and it already feels good. Like a sigh of relief haha

I'm a sucker for those Konami ones being Hangtab boxes. The games don't mean much to me from a gameplay perspective, but I have a lot of collecting nostalgia from chasing after those ones over the years! Darkwing and Felix are ones I know are awesome games. Like, I do want to keep them just for that reason, but I've never actually played them myself!

Hey! Unfortunately there is no one-stop easy website to learn everything. A lot of the knowledge has to be learned overtime through participating in NES collecting, but hopefully more resources will exist soon. On of the best primer articles was actually written by WATA a few years ago about the black box games. Hey, great to know about the Mario is missing. I wasn't aware of variants on that one. Ahh, interesting on the licensed vs unlicensed. My assumption was all of the unlicensed were published first, and then Nintsndo actually licensed them later. You are going for a full cartridge set at this point given that you sold off the CIBs?

Yes! Lots of those color dreams games can be found in blue and black. Pretty sure most black variants are more rare, but not sure how many people really care haha

@@GetTheGreg Can’t argue with that. But it’s a worthwhile game to play, even on a flashcart. I like it a LOT more than the other Disney Capcom games.

In fact I just bought another, and I am looking right at it, right now, symphony of the night....#3. Because I still needed a one WITH the registration still attached. hahah I know, I know. I didn't start playing hockey games until.. I think NHL 97 on PS1. Maybe Breakaway 98 on N64 came first...? One of those!

It's funny. When the goonies VHS sold for an insane amount of money, I didn't get it at all. Goonies is close to "nothing" to me as far as like, being a huge brand or anything noteworthy. The fact that the box only there could be worth $100+ makes it an easy sell for me! Pretty sure I saw the movie once or twice as a kid but it was too scary 😅

20 minutes in, some more completely unsolicited advice you should totally feel free to ignore: Little Ninja Brothers should be a keep, it is too rare and too high-quality a game not to; M.C. Kids is I think more borderline than you suggest but I get where you are coming from in selling it; I definitely do not see Wisdom Tree games as you do (and I say that as someone who owns a pretty nice sealed Bible Adventures); Formula One: Built to Win is the best racing game on the NES, period, and it is rare, so I see a keep there though I get that you have no connection to it; Darkwing Duck is an easy keep, it is an amazing game and brand in addition to being (as you mentioned) Capcom. And I totally agree about Mickey Mousecapade-dump it!-so I am not only saying this for Capcom reasons. Felix the Cat ranks #1 out of the *entire NES library* in "underrated games." And it *deserves* that title. Please, bro, consider keeping it. Everything about that game is top-end.

Agree with you on Chip n' Dale-the value there is mostly in it being Capcom, and the brand. But Darkwing Duck is a better brand *and* a better game, which is why I think it is well worth keeping. Crystalis is the best RPG on the system and one of the top-five underrated NES games ever made according to experts, so I see easy keep there (would say the same of Shadow of the Ninja if it were in good condition, it is a fantastic top-ten-underrated game that admittedly has lost some value since its 21st c. reprint became ubiquitous). You are a fool to part with either Blades of Steel or Ice Hockey-and Jesus Christ, you're Canadian!-but then you knew I would say that. ;-) If you sell G.I. Joe 1, your license to use RU-vid should be revoked (don't care what you do with the second one). Tecmo Cup Soccer Game is such a fascinating take on soccer-nothing else like it in the NES library and it is so rare-but I get that you have no connection to it. Everything else I agree with. Great video, man! PS Your collection is amazing, kudos!

ha, that is also a grind! Buying all of the cheap games feels equally... dumb(?) Like you know you aren't going to play them or even enjoy having them per se, but you have to check them off the list. But there also isn't really any sense of fulfullment since you can hop on ebay at any time and buy them all whenever haha. Full set collecting is weird😅
