I could’ve sworn it was just like yesterday ago seeing Matts announcement that he was gonna be a dad. I can’t believe his kids are that big already. Feels like I’ve grown with him watching his videos. Beautiful family Matts! Great to see it!
Well iv been with my wife for 6 years iv been on FML for like 7 going on 8 years now .... iv learned it all from him.... thanks matts dude deff been on journey
Your kids laughing reminds me of when my two sons were around the same as yours and it brings back so many great memories when they fished with me every chance they could! Great site and great products especially your jigs. Enjoy them when there young and cherish every moment because time flys by way to fast. Keep fishing and live your dream 🎣
Hey hope you’re doing alright dude you haven’t posted anything in a while. Just wanted to let ya know I’m going shore fishing for the first time tomorrow after a move to Hawaii and your videos inspired me to pursue that. Blessings and best wishes to you and your family! 🎣 😎
Hi Matt, hey I'm just wondering if you're okay because I haven't seen any of your videos come out lately. Hope everything's okay with you. Missing your videos!! Stay blessed Matt. 😊
Congratulations on the new land. As someone who uses those tractors on a weekly basis I'll say to definitely look for one that is all hand controls and no foot pedal controls. It will save you tons of hours with how much better and easier it is to operate. And get tracks not wheels. Cat wait to see you start up work on the new land
Those 300+ deep cod are amazing and since they have been growing for like 30 years they are huge! Almost feel like the should switch every 5-10 years only allow 250’ for a few years then swap it back to allow the fish to mature and grow
You honestly inspired me to learn how to fish. I’ve always wanted to meet you I was here before you blew up and I just want to say I am proud of you and happy you and your family are thriving
It's been over a year now since I went fishing. Lost a job when the season was right and the flooding has left rivers and streams nearby closed off. Been hitting me hard lately now that summers coming in. You're vids are getting me thru until father's day where hopefully I'll get a weekend to hit the water.
I hope you keep your head up Mike. My boys are very young and I can not wait to bring them to a local lake for a taste of the simple fishing experience down here in the SW. I appreciate the message of cherishing every moment, It's good to be reminded of that. Thank you.
I've never been jealous of anyone. Never have much, but didn't want much either. But you, sir, make my stomach turn with jealousy! I've never wanted what someone else had so bad. I know real life ain't all sunshine and rainbows, and you've shared some of those darker moments here with the world. But I know what I don't know, ya feel me? You got the life regardless of whatever chaos we never see on camera. Cherish every moment man PS* 2.38K SUBS WITH NO VID POSTED YET!!! 👏
I jumped when I heard the alarm ring tone. I really hate that ring tone. I love your little guys. He is so cute. There are so much big RF and long over 300' Matt. You don't have to go to the Gym after the deep sea fishing😅. You need to eat fresh live squids Matt. It is the best.
Good evening Matt & Family ! Thanks for sharing this great video, beautiful Family & your special time on & out of the water ! Keep up the great work & keep smiling !
Been watching this man for as long as i can remember went through 3 of his hats fishing already its good to see the great videos are still going till this day.
Just a normal guy doing what the rest of us dream about. He's like the next-door neighbor rather than some "expert" who we don't relate to. Good for him.
Hey! I’m glad you mentioned the rods in this video! I reached out to you on IG about this! And for anyone else seeing this comment, the rod feels so nice. I have it paired with a shimano tranx 200 and it’s a bonito killer! Also slays calicos!
Man I’ve been watching your channel grow since the beginning and throughout the journey it almost feels like your accomplishments are mine as well lol I take my girls fishing as well but have been doing more off-roading but will definitely get back to some fishing and visit your camp site once it’s ready. I appreciate your videos Matts!
you really make me want to get into fishing and inspiring me to have my son to do it for the first time with me as well thank you for your content brother thoughts and prayers to you and your family all the best!
Do it! I just went fishing with my dad yesterday. I’m 33 now but we’ve been going fishing since I was 7-8. Lots of memories at the lake and on the Sportfishing boats here in SoCal. A huge plus is spending time outdoors. God bless brother!
Do some research but you can probably find a good deal on a inflatable boat setup like he started out with. If you want, surf fishing is also really good.
Great video Matts ! watching you fish with the kids was fun and they are so cute, lots to learn from you. Nice to see you catch some really nice fish and how you took care of the squid. It all looked delicious in the end, Thanks for sharing. 🎆🎉🎉Congratulations on the property, looking forward to more of your videos. 🥰🙏🌟✌🎉🎉
Congrats! I grew up in Oroville, CA and I loved being away from the city life. You’ll miss the city from time to time, but the peace you fill fine out there will brings longevity life lol. I came to Cali a few months back and was I hoping I’d run into you at the coast fishing. Lol
Damn I remember watching your earlier videos. You’ve come a long way from a bucket of butter in a pan on the shore to this, very cool man. I love the channel.
Matts I started watching your videos in 2016. I enjoy all of your content. I’ve created my own playlist that has all of your vids and they play on a continuous loop. Keep up the awesome videos. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings for you and your family. PS Can I send you some hand tied crappie jigs for the next time you go for them?
Once you get moved to your property, you still going to be out on the ocean fishing? I hope so! Really enjoy your content Matt!!! Fun to see your family enjoying the water too!
God Bless you and your family, I’ve watched your videos for years and they’ve been so calming, may the Lord bless you and your acceptance in Him give you peace which surpasses this world and eternal life which he promises us through Jesus Christ 🙏🏽❤️
Matts, the part where your sons were laughing so hard at what they thought was the ultimate gotcha dad moment brought me right back to when my current 14 yr old was 6-7-8 years old. Those times go by so fast and unfortunately you never get them back. They mature (slightly) and dad just isn't funny or cool anymore (at least that's what they claim) lol. Enjoy the time now and don't take it for granted!!!
Matt, thank you for showing my home town, Monterey. I live in Washington now, but a lot of great memories launching from the coast guard pier and fishing near the bell buoy for sand dabs, rock fish, mackerel and the occasional king. I rowed out there in a rubber raft before I got a zodiac with an 8 horse Honda 😂. You need to stop by Reds doughnuts next time before heading out or the Bagel Bakery, both on Alvarado St😋
Hi Matt’s, you’re so lucky having three. Yes, they are so cute. Enjoy them when they are little because they will grow fast and will start hanging out with their friends. I have one but should have planned for two. Now I’m too old. 😬
what a great skill to have, ive always been a dam or river fisher but not since teen years and 20 and where i come from we have no fishes left in any dams or rivers only ocean thoe unless thats been cleaned lately or damaged cause of storms
I wouldn't tell anybody who you meet in the mountains that you moved here from the bay. Just a tip from a norcal mountain guy. Lookin forward to the new channel. Cheers
Best cameraman in the world, lighting, height, and stabilization, is unlike no other, and i enjoyed the inclusion of your family, reminds me that I have one too😂
I applied to be a vendor for the street fair, keeping my fingers crossed I hear back soon would love to come down from Washington and see everyone there
Haven’t seen u on my recommended for a while! Glad to see your videos are back. I’m getting deployed to Hawaii hoping to do some crazy fishing out there and maybe even spear fishing.
Hey love your stuff. I live on South Oregon coast. Just a tip but I noticed how you tossed your fish, still half alive, into your cooler on ice and then dropped ice bag on top of them. When you do this you bruise the fillets. After cleaning you will get light pinkish spots on the meat instead of snow white. Same thing happens when people let their fish flop on the deck. Handle your fish gently for top quality product!
I didnt know this either until my local fishmonger showed me the diff in product he buys from various day fisherman. The guys that let their fish flop on deck get paid less cause the meat is pinkish and classified as 'restaurant grade'. The snow white fillets caught by fisherman who handle product gently goes onto the trays in his display cooler. For years now I lip grab off the line with pliers, de-hook, boink, gill bleed and then put in a bucket of water to bleed out. If you hit too low on the boink then will have top part of fillet reddish from bruising. ( my wife's specialty!) Tip -super glue fine sand on the grabber lips of the plastic fish grabber pliers.
Brother.....when I get more set up here to do it correctly , I'm going to throw up an invite for you to come up to Northern Oregon and do some Hookah diving off a jet ski with me. I dig your style and been watching you get really good over the years. Which is awesome to see. Keep doing what you're doing!
My dads buddy a long time ago was actually not even solo he had two people on the boat with him and they sunk and there was a huge search party but they were never found 😔. Rest in peace
In Washington we are required to have a decender onboard to safely decend fish back down with blown bladders. SeaQualizer makes one that automatically releases at 150ft or 300ft. You should keep one onboard to release fish you can't legally keep.
LOVIN your videos & especially this one! Here in Hawaii, after separating head/body, butterfly the body & grill over low fire. For the tentacles, most marinate 4-6 & dry in dry box or in dehydrator. Need to Search for marinade recipe...Keep these videos coming!
