The game by itself is amazing, but once you start playing myplayer and up the difficulty then, there's the major turn offs... "Individuals" not buying the game wont do anything. Buying the game and then promoting your displeasures helps the cause a bit, but buying and then promoting the game like it doesnt have issues, is just not right.
I wish people talked about closing out to a shooter after baiting the pass and 2k LITERALLY STOPPING you from closing out and getting a stutter step “animation” on DEFENSE
Dawg this! If a shooter gets open on a 3 and I’m literally about to break my left stick aiming for him to close out, it’s like the dude has superglue stuck to his shoe and he doesn’t close out it’s so fucking annoying
I see nothing about the close outs anywhere and its a constant annoyance. I’ve also noticed that an ai can be really far away from you and still give you a 20% contest. If you contest an ai in a similar way it always says open or like 6%.
Bro after every patch the game gets worse...now its super slow and sluggish...everybody missing everything.. cant make point blank close shots..with a 95 close shot. Rediculous steals. Way too many Canned animations. My career is super cheated. Im on warriors steph curry is Trash. .dude went 4/20 from 3 one game and all he shot is 3s.. i mean air balls, All backboard bricks. Just completely Rediculous shot attempts from 3. Glad new games coming out.. and trash players on the other team are unstoppable.. its terrible.. You im constantly pauses and replaying the BS the cpu does its unreal..

The finishing system around the rim was so bad that’s how I knew this game was trash. They were trying to make the game unplayable so people can’t grind this yr but put up money to reach 90. I’m surprised 2k didn’t blame the console like they usually do.

One of most agregious things that makes me borderline rage is the emphasis on badges. You need to have badges on bronze - HOF in order to be more successful at an aspect of the game.......great but when playing mycareer I pause so many times when an opposing player does something ridiculous that I know they don't have the skillset to do. Only to find suprise suprise, they don't have any of badges to do it. In fact some players will have 0 shooting badges or 0 defensive badges but still perform at skills that the game would require me high badge levels just to be at the level of the CPU.
I’m happy that people are starting to see and talk about how the game play has been trash. The first issues was the sticky rice defense the AI be doing, like I can’t move left or right because they stopping me from moving. The new defense now is AI unrealistic sliding to catch up to u or they slow u down after a crossover or add another treble move to delay ur player so they catch. The 2k devs thinks we are all a bunch bums who don’t understand how basketball is played. I would have mailed 2k my wallet if they had made their game amazing this yr, but man the shit ain’t it y’all.
Facts!!! This is what I hate about 2K the most. Either your open, being ran out on or contested. There shouldn't be a game inside the game to make shots. You can make the perfect move to create space but then have to fight with the shot meter mid action. That sh#t is azz 💩💩👎👎
@@logicallifeperspectives513 the shot meter takes the attention of the user off of the shot animations. You get so hung up on checking a thermostat instead of enjoying the fluidity and position of the players

It makes player ratings so irrelevant, if your close shot rating, (let me put it like this) if you have Kobe, LeBron, or Jordan 9ft away from the basket and don't *"green it"* you'll miss which is bs
2k has always been terrible on HOF. Part of the reason I stopped buying the game years ago. Criticism about sports games is growing with each drop. The numbers are almost identical of kids under 18 and adults over 45 that plays video games. If they continue on this trend it’s possible they can lose a good amount of their adult fan base who don’t want to keep wasting money. They’ll will be competing with phones, apps, and activities for broke lil kids attention. When I say they I’m talking about EA and Take2.
I refunded mine in like 24hrs. Shouldn’t get double team constantly while your teammates guard no one. Honestly forgot about 2k. Won’t get better when twitch streamers calls it perfect.
I play mycareer exclusively every year and by far this is frustratingly both the worst and best one at the same time. I too have always played on HOF difficulty from jump just to be able to measure how good I'm getting as I level up. I can attest that everyone regardless of rating and badges on the CPU side becomes Steph on shooting, Kawhi on perimeter defense, Steven Adams on screens, Anthony Davis defending the paint, Drummond on offensive rebounds and CP3 when it comes to both IQ and passing whilst my team even if it has all-stars becomes the exact opposite. Come on 2K😢

I noticed when playing on All Star Difficulty on My Career is that I have to set two screens every time to get past my defender and take efficiency shots when i'm shooting and it's frustrating me to no end. Coming to play 2k24 after 2k16 out of all these years it's mind boggling 2k made shooting and defending this difficult.
I agree, this game just feels broken. I feel like I’m playing the cpu, my opponent and the game trying to cheat you itself smh. The amount things that make my blood boil it’s actually ridiculous. Contextual the game makes no sense. They don’t reward good basketball they just go off badges and abilities and no basketball iq involved.
I stopped playing the game on Hall of Fame difficulty because I'm playing against a game that's cheating I'm blowing them out by 20 still but as soon as they subbed me out the game the 2 minutes I'm out that team goes on 20 or run. My plus minus the + 20 and I'm in a one-point game or even loosing

Lateral quickness being dirt and players sliding? Morphing? Shooting stats attached to jumpers forcing you to not use certain jumpers you may actually like? Etc. Who asked for this? Your attributes should determine your green window, NOT the jumpshot. This game is egregious

So what i did is match the superstar sliders for both cpu and user, then then highly progress my team on defense, it will eventually balance the stupid plays... it took me a few seasons though

Everyone talking about how the defense is good??😂😂 No the defense is horrible this year. From contest system, to staying in front, or the AIs just flat out dummying out and Chris Paul ends up on Jokic because Jamal Murray went into the post. The contest system was perfect now I need challenger gold just to get an any kind of close out.

Just don't play it on pro every game you play will feel like a championship game and its ok to play normal on here because pro will be more unrealistic then regular
Last game in season tournament against the Knicks playing along with the hornets inlend up with 5 fouls in second quarter set me out until 4th quarter and when i get in were getting blew out by 40 points lol i play on pro because i like the challenge its not easy as it use to be seeing that they are either going by real time or its the 2k community but i say real time because its no bad team in the nba these days times have changed and alk the teams will pop out and go crazy thats the way it is no so we have to adapt
I got the game when it cost 30$ on steam and I still feel ripped off. The OVR system is horseshit anyways, but the way the game favors the player with a higher number is nutty this year. That’s where I see the most cheating from the computer. It’s all in order to make sure that the player the game wants to score right now can score no matter what. You can see it happening in every single mode now, even just online team vs team shit with my boys feels scripted sometimes.
Ive said for years, and i mean fucking YEARS Sports game should be released every 2-3 years. Gives the teams legit time to make games fresh and new. All updates in between time can be roster updates Literally a waste of money to buy, LITERALLY the same game year in & out for 69-79 bucks and every review says its "the best madden" this or, "the most amazingest 2k since " that. Turn it to Superstar and it was like I couldn’t miss. Back to HOF all my CPU players play like 60 Ovr and I can’t hit shit. vs CPU hitting everything contested or not.
Dude what irritates me is u can pass the ball to WIDE OPEN man and the idiot will fumble the ball for no reason and it will be stolen. Or you can be just dribbling stationary and all of a sudden the idiot fumbles the ball and the other team takes it. When does that ever happen in real life?
Bruh you not lying at all I said something like this was going to happen sooner or later but I was playing 2k20 at the time but was still going through the same bs that I was going through on 19 21 was the same way 22 I didn't get a chance to play fully 23 it was the shooting for me where I was releasing my shot with a full meter but was missing and sometimes made a very early shot now in some games it was useful but if I'm playing in the park or whatever why is that when I get ready to shoot the ball it doesn't release correctly it starts doing that little bouncing junk when you try to release the shot
This game is rigged and will make you frustrated and angry. The game is designed to make you lose, no matter how good you are. The AI opponents are superhuman, the referees are biased, and the game mechanics are unfair. You will miss shots, get fouled, and lose the ball constantly. I am sure every 2K player is aware of what I'm talking about so no need for me to get into details. MLB The Show is currently the best sports game on the market and it's not even close! A loss in MLB The Show is more satisfying than a win in NBA 2K!
