Seriously, your teeth are almost perfectly straight anyway. You don't really have crooked teeth, maybe a tiny bit at the bottom. On looking at your teeth, it only appears that your canines might be a little misshapen but even if your teeth are straightened it won't change the shape of them. I am on Invisalign 4th week. I decided against braces because I felt I wouldn't be able to cope with the cleaning aspect and the nightmare trying to floss with braces. Invisalign is so much easier when it comes to cleaning your teeth. I was also worried about the rubbing of the 'train tracks' on my cheeks, especially when sleeping as I lie on my side and also I've heard braces are a lot more painful. At this point in time, I haven't had any pain with Invisalign. My teeth are extremely crooked top and bottom and I'm 52. I was advised by my ortho that braces would probably be better for me, but Invisalign would work and that's what I wanted anyway. Just to let you know I got the clincheck to start with to see how my teeth would be at the end of the treatment. However now that I've got all my sets of Invisalign, the aligners are showing a much better position than what the initial clincheck showed, so you can't assume that what you see initially on the clincheck is how they are going to turn out eventually. My final set of invisalign aligners looks virtually perfect. I am glad now a month in that I chose Invisalign (but time will tell). Because straightening teeth can be a lengthy process, to me what mattered most was the pain aspect and the cleaning frustration, and that's what swayed me to Invisalign. Hope that helps. xx

Yeah they’re not too bad as i said, but I wanted to have them straightened. Yeah i have them on now and it’s not too bad. I didn’t think i would cope with cleaning, but it’s not as bad as i once thought. Yeah i had that in mind when choosing, having no restriction when cleaning but when I thought about it, I probably wouldn’t bother eating or probably forget to put them back in 😅 I like that the braces are just there doing the work and I don’t have to worry about anything. The rubbing for me lasted a few days and stopped hurting and healed after putting the wax on, so that’s also not too bad. I also lie on my side, no issues with that, however, i do only have my top row on atm, we’ll see if that all changes when i get the bottom row on😅 No pain 🙌🏾 now that’s a plus! Why did your ortho suggest braces would be better? Ok, see that’s good! If I could see how the full Invisalign would have worked virtually, I probably would have been swayed, and yes they are only an estimation and results will vary which I understood. For me it was my bottom row straightened more than anything and a lot of molar and canine movement. I researched a lot and decided i wouldn’t want to have more refinements for the final touches which can take months after the initial treatment time, and having to take them out to eat and brush before putting them back in for a whole year seemed like it would be a chore 😅

@@SarahNaturally1111 Yes unfortunately Invisalign can be a chore. Sometimes I skip meals as it's a hassle especially when you are out and about. My ortho suggested braces because I have a couple of premolars at top missing and two molars at bottom (one a recent extraction). The invisalign looks as though the top premolar gaps are going to close completely but where one of the bottom molars has been removed there will still be a huge gap there at the end. Invisalign can only move so much and I'm not even sure if braces would move two large back teeth enough anyway. Hope everything goes great for you. xx
