Manston used to be a RAF Battle of Britain airfield. In the film it was bombed and the RAF officer got the Gerry's to fill in the holes LOL

Why did you tell her you would wait and then fly it anyway? Not an honorable thing to do. There are moments like this which do show a deceitful streak at times. Its uncalled for unless they are giving you grief. its a pity. These were nice folks and reasonable in their doubts.
