I love how everything we know is what Subaru knows, this really is his story, besides all the world building that exists we are just following Subaru’s struggles as he becomes a better person trough traumatizing experiences

@@Amaling His character definitely developed. Subaru only viewed himself as worthless and his only value to anybody was his ability. The witches and Satella showed him that he has value beyond his death and he has now resolved to value his life more. This is a direct change from episode 10 where Subaru explicitly knew that he was going to die for information and 'bring back more than his life's worth' so it means he has grown

the anime only scratches the surface, the dialog in the light novel is so much more developed. The whole tea party with the witches is worth like 6 or 7 chapters in order to make them justice, so many details are left out that is just sad.

Witch Cult Translation has most of the Web Novel Arcs 4-6 translated. That said I prefer TraslationChicken Dot Com. I think Chicken provided more clearer, less confusing sentences - sadly he did stop at some point in Arc 4. But I still suggest you you start Arc 4 with Chicken. Season 2 covers only Arc 4 (it's a long arc). Arc 1-3 were covered in the anime's season 1. There are, of course, some omissions, whether you compare it to the light novel or the longer web novel. Man this is so confusing, my theory is either satella is mistaking Subaru for somebody else (like a ancestor or something) or that Subaru has been to this world before and that time works differently here so for example if he were to go back to his normal world after all this time only like a hour actually went by. So that would mean that he could’ve been to this world and done things but lost his memory when he was sent back to his world but the the question is why was he called back???

In the light novel he felt a deep sense of love for Satella for an unknown reason so he said that he was going to save her instinctively. I think it's safe to say that Satella is Emilia the hints are just AAAAA-

There was speculation or spoilers somewhere that Subaru and satella were lovers but something happened to Subaru or them both causing all of this and satella has been trying to get him back all this time

He doesn't love her exactly but her love is really intense and subaru did not know that anyone other than his parents actually love him. So Subaru is trying his best not to get swayed by her love but he is still weak against someone actually liking him. This whole episode is really fantastic in light novel.

He is acting like any of us would, still kinda surprising he has not gone completely crazy but yes he could have asked more questions. One thing they cut is that she has two split personalities, one is super good which is called Satella (we see her in this episode), and the other super evil which is the Witch of Envy.

Okay, and do you really believe that an author could openly criticize on twitter an adaptation of his work? Of course not. And now we have this situation where most animeonly don't know that Satella and Witch of Envy are different personalities, and think that she is a poorly written character.

And Satella/WOE with there huge difference in acting and personalty can easily be one of biggest mystery in the anime. Like 20 others that are still happening. The contrast in personalty adds to the character if anything. Also did you even read my comment "the author goes over every cut on twitter because he is involved in the anime production and in this case he didn't go over them" so it will likely be put in part 2. Also it's because of people like you I am genuinely happy that s1 was adapted when there was no translation for source material. Because they adapted 6 volume in 12 episode btw. It would been nothing but constant complains about cuts even tho it's one the best arc in anime.

It is obvious that the first season had several cuts, because the director himself said that he did not expect Re: Zero (anime) to be successful, so even they cut that moment of AI talking about Japan, because it does not make sense to leave that plot point at the time. That's Ok! However, it's different when they make 2 cour for a single arc. It's different when they choose to remove layers from a character to make it basic. Did you read LN or WN? So, Satella doesn't come back in that arc after that, Subaru discovering that he has feelings for her, her speech to him, all their moments were cut off (moments that are important for him to understand about her and himself). And you defend that, because you think Teppei approves of this mess just because he doesn't criticize anything on twitter (after all, he has a contract).

Except few moments depending on how much time she needs to use rbd from 1 activation to another. Later in this season she helps him in another way again. Later on she make sure that he has 1 year of peace until the witch cult finds him again. Its all her doing in helping when she can.

And he has the most brutal deaths so far this season

I'd take lots of quick deaths any day than a just a few absolutely horrifying and gruesome deaths

I think seeing him experience the worlds were he did die and see the aftereffects of his death and that the world he dies in isn't just reset with him... that truly was painful for him to take in the gravity of that situation

Neither of them. She took something form him, the requirements, because it was the less harmless thing she could took as payment. She could have take a memory force him to do or not to do something took part of hus body whatever really. She choose that instead because sha like him as she said in the episode. what bothers me is that subaru didn't take the time to question satella here. Like no serieus questions at all. Just bunch of talk. He could have gathered a lot of info from the witches here.

We are not sure if those reality's actually exist or not. The vision's he had of people reacting to his death where just illusion's created by the second trial. So it's still up in the air.

Should could just be implying that people grieve over him before the timeline resets itself I doubt the alternate worlds continue on it would ruin the theme of the series of Subaru trying to overcome suffering and reach a good end.

I mean, so far he just showed hatred towards her, though yes, in the last moment he kinda admitted that she had indeed been of help to him and he also acknowledged that the petition from her to love himself more is cool, but I would've never thought that was enough boost to make him say that last thing afterwards, it seems pretty peculiar, I really can't understand why and it's really exasperating
