My father was an airborne, and I will never forget the words "I wanna be an airborne ranger. Living off blood and guts and danger." That's what he sung. I don't know why it was different. R.I.P. to my father.
It's different because there are many variations to cadences. People always try to put their own spin on them. Sometimes it works other times not so much. RIP to your father.
I grew up in the 1980s with my Dad in the Army and hearing these cadences makes me think of my Dad in his BDUs and all the young rangers, 101'st, etc who would be running to these cadences. Lost my Dad in 2019. RIP to your Dad. My Dad always used to love the line "For Nothing in this World is Free".
For the life of me I couldn't figure out why I have had this song in my head all day. My dad was an Airborne Ranger. Two years today since you passed away, dad. Still so weird.
I served as a Katusa from 2009 to 2011 in USFK. This song reminds me of a black first sergeant..... and he..... ran and ran and ran for good.......... and there was me panting and panting.... but the air was so fresh so it was fine!
“IM GONNA BE A AIRBORNE RANGER, LIVIN IN THE LIFE OF GUNS AND DANGER” my mom(a retired veteran) used to make us sing this while we got ready for school
I listen to this when I run and work out. I'm more productive than when I listen to music. I did not serve in the military but if I did....I would want to be an Airborne Ranger.
A naked blonde walks into a bar with a poodle under one arm, and I two foot salami under the other. She lays the poodle down on the table, bartender says “I guess you won’t be needing a drink” Naked lady says……”oh shit!”
The below rant is a full point broadside thank to a retired 82nd Airborne Ranger , in his hometown , volunteer small town tactical unit , first to respond , by the Hand and Direction of God , Deleted a very flawed and murderous man , before he could hurt again . Bottom Line , God , Loves Each and Every Airborne Ranger as though He or She is His favorite Child , simply , The Airborne Ranger , is The Sheppard of Evil Souls , Said Ranger , Deletes this Mistakes , from the face of this Earth .
A while back I had a version of this from Spotify. I just looked up US military cadences and this was in one of the many playlists there without the percussion.
@@cadence2342 Lookin for an Army 80s cadence... "We are Echo Company we like to party party hearty party hearty all night long your left your left your left right get on down your left your left your left right get on down now drop! say what? and beat your face! Echo company's gonna rock this place HUA
Contact Documentary Recordings, they may have different versions. But ask for the 80's versions. Seems like every 5 or 10 years, they "change" ( people, places, & things) in the cadences but keep the Name. Personally, the newer versions aren't as good.
I believe there’s technically speaking no positions in the military that bar females except for working in submarines but I believe that one has recently been removed too.
