I just found your videos, and have been enjoying them. The pandemic has pushed me from other activities into WAY more reading- and often different genre, e.g., Regency romance. But the cozy week definitely appealed to me! (And while there are several horribly messy rooms in the house, it has to be bad to guilt me into cleaning before reading.) Happy holiday reading!

I recently started Michael J Sullivan's Riyria books and I'm having a lot of fun with them, and hearing you and Petrik praise the legend of the first empire series, which is also set in the Riyria world, has me so excited to get to them as well 😍 it's always such a great feeling to fall in love with a new book/series. Btw Regan have you heard of The Forgetting Moon by Brian Lee Durfee? You might've seen it floating around Booktube because the last book in the trilogy just came out. It's also a classic fantasy story written in a modern style, also epic but at the same time gives the cozy familiar feeling that fantasy gives. Highly recommend!

Just downloaded Age of Myth. Thanks for the recommendation. Also, we indulge in Spam and tried the Figgy Pudding version this season. It’s not good on it’s own, but mixed in the potato and pepper hash my husband makes, it brought some interesting flavors. Spam always gets a bad rap, but it good if cooked and used properly. Oh, I’m from MN…home to Spam. And yes, I’ve been the the museum.

I am trying to be healthier, as our bodies are how we interact with the world, and we only get one, but the last time I tried AG1, I could not stand the taste. Maybe they have changed their formula since then, but they are also so expensive! Love the cozy time!

I don't think I've ever heard a bad thing about Robin Hobb from any Booktuber. I always get so tempted after hearing another great review but I get intimidated by long series and huge books. Where do you start?

You could start with the Farseer trilogy or the liveship trader series I tried reading assassins apprentice but I ended up dnfing it so I read the liveship trader series and I absolutely enjoyed it I then went on to read the rain water chronicles

Haven't read Hobb, but I just want to say is don't be intimidated by long series! There are great ones out there, and it's not like you have to read them straight through; you can always take breaks and read something else for a while.

Honestly I love most B. Sanderson books but I have to say, for some reason I just couldn't connect with the characters in the second generation of mistborn. Wax and Wayne just weren't for me, I'm realizing western vibes are not for me lol. But I wish you luck with the rest of the series! :)

Normalise reading books we're actually interested in and want to read, not just because something is popular or because we have reading goal numbers we feel the need to reach each year for some reason. No hate but it's annoying constantly listening to booktubers and booktokers complain about "only" having read lets say 80 books in one year. Sometimes I wonder if ya'll are aware you even do it.

@@theboardcrafter1336 ….and you’re going to apologise when? It is never ever okay to make these kind of comments to people. Both the bump comment you made initially AND the follow up that you are hoping for a baby. You never know what people are going through. Making these comments to someone who may be struggling to conceive, may have experienced miscarriage or baby loss for example, could be devastating. Aside from those circumstances, it’s just plain rude. Don’t say it to strangers on the internet whose life circumstances you are completely unaware of. Don’t say it full stop.
