As a long time viewer I absolutely loved this Q&A/vlog. Late night noodles are the best & I sometimes make myself feel bad for having them so thank you for this content! I'm here for it!!
Honestly, it would make so much sense that you'd want to become a therapist if you weren't a youtuber. Your videos act as a therapy for me, you have so much insight on so many things, and whenever you learn something new about yourself, you share it with us in a very researched and thoughtful way. So don't worry you're almost like a therapist for us all and that way you can touch even more people 😚
after all the motherhood/travel/social content (which i love - don’t get me wrong), it was refreshing to see you have some time to breathe in your own space - loved the chill vibes ☺️ hope your voice recovers soon! ♥️
“Advice to moms to be for staying present in all seasons of motherhood” 2 things that work for me: 1. Limit distractions when you’re with your baby/kids. Put phone far away so you can hear it ring but so you’re not tempted to scroll on TikTok or IG when with them. Not have TV on unless it’s screen time etc… 2. Make sure you have “ME TIME” I think time away from kids/babies makes time with them more special and your feel more happy/full yourself to give love.
Advice for staying present in all seasons of motherhood: talk to your child early and often. I started talking to my son before he could comprehend things just to get in the habit of it. I explained things about the world around us, life, relationships, love, letting go, being a good person, etc etc., all before he could talk. Now that he’s 8, we have meaningful 2 ways conversations about these topics daily. He is the most emotionally intelligent child because of this, I’m convinced. So that’s how I’ve stayed present - always communicating and teaching my son about life and love.
Girl - I hope you know that your videos in general are therapeutic tools for us viewers. You even helped me recognize what I truly value and helped me place boundaries in my life and motivated me to get a therapist for the first time in my life. So technically, you are a therapist. From a fellow ♍️ Virgo, you are feminine, powerful, empathic and amazing.
I don't often comment, but I'm smiling the whole video! I remember when you were anxious when you found out about pregnancy, and your words about motherhood and yourself now... Blooming, so happy for you
I hope this is helpful, Jenn! -- A woman I know who had a rigorous law career as well as a full house of children said "the one thing I have never regretted is the time I spent at home with my children." I have thought of that as I spend ordinary days with my toddler. My ordinary presence is a gift to my child. I won't regret this; and neither will you!
I can’t believe how much I can relate to you as a Virgo, a Ravenclaw, organisation, perfectionism, even the noise sensitivity 😂 Thank you for making my days even better 💞💞
Jenn you seem different in the best way. I haven’t watched your videos in a while, and something about your energy here seems calmer and more at peace with yourself. Love the vibes 🎊
This style of video is the moment! I have to say, I am guilty of neglecting your channel for some time, and was feeling like I was wasting my time watching the most random RU-vid videos, but this really gave me some comfort after a long time. I hope you are well x

looooooved this q&a! 🤍 you put so much effort into it! i totally felt connected to you during this video. btw - got married a few weeks ago & changing all my documents due to my new surname and yup - gonna still take a few months til all cards and documents are going to be finally changed & ready 🤭
Jenn, I loved the part where you mentioned “relish” as your word. My family and I are also all healthy and yet I’ve been living in fear to lose it. Your gratitude helped me realize how much I have to be present to, and thankful for. Finally, I’m a former party girl and also agree that overstimulation is no longer my game 😂 these past two years too have shown me how much I enjoy being with myself. Blessings 🙏🏽
Ahhh I see my photo! It was so great meeting you (and Ben) years ago at SXSW. Been following you since the OG days and it's so amazing watch you grow and be a role model and big sister that I never had. Motherhood has changed you and made you become even more amazing than you already are!!
Omg Jenn I’m 100% with you on having COMPLETE silence when I’m doing a task 😂 (such as a studying) some people don’t get it, but I have ADD and neeeeeed a quiet space haha
Advice for staying present in all seasons of motherhood: I’ve only had 11 years, but five children and many, many seasons and transitions of motherhood throughout those years. One thing I think is very important is to not view a different season as a disturbance to what you already have going on, going well. Kids change so quickly and viewing these changes as opportunities for teaching and learning and connection (both kids and yourself) keeps you in a positive mindset ready to go with the flow. Setting limits firmly but gently, yet allowing space for yourself to stop one more time to see something they’ve made and are proud of, being interrupted one more time to fill your child’s cup for attention-these things matter and build up a strong foundation of a trusting relationship between you and your child. Being present that way has helped me practice letting go of each last season like newborn snuggles, crawling, babbling, nursing, etc. WELL. I don’t regret the extra sacrifices I’ve made and I’m glad for it.
I love this style of video Jenn!! I read this advice somewhere a long time ago & it says to just imagine that today is the last day that you have with your child. That immediately keeps me in the moment & wanting to cherish all the little things.
Absolutely loved this style video. Truly felt like we were chillin together. Also, I cried happy tears when you spoke of how genuinely happy you are with life right now. It gives me hope. ♡
jenn whenever i am feeling lost, i always come back to your videos, especially the advice and Q&A vids! Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your lessons with us love youu 💕💕
Staying present tip: Schedule 15-20 minutes a day of in interrupted parent child time. Phones away (do not disturb feature on), TV off, MUSIC ON! Some of my favorite present moments are dance parties with my daughter (2.8yo). We have “rituals” like full attention and a book during bath time, and the 15-20 minutes of one on one play a day.
I've been so stressed with work, studies, taking tests, and applying to colleges for the past few months that I've had to put my social life on hold. You've always felt like a big sister to most of us, including me. Watching these Q and A videos make me feel like we're having a conversation that puts me at so much ease. I love how you touch on topics that are both relevant and need to be talked about more. I love how honest you are to us about everything, even when times get tough. That always reminds me to step back and take a breath once in a while. In times of doubt, I turn to your videos and I always leave feeling a lot more settled after I hear you talk. You feel so much like family now and I'm so excited and happy for this new journey that both you and Ben are on. Lennon is so blessed to have such a loving and supportive family. Lots of love!
I'm doing a dry month this June! I went to pride festival and didn't drink, I had more fun than I have in ages, didn't even miss drinking- or the hangover
Really enjoyed this video Jenn! Thanks for sharing and it's so lovely to see you happy & relishing in it all! It's crazy to think I've been watching your videos since the beginning and I'm stoked to see you happy! It's beautiful
i loved how you went and instantly took the hogwarts house quiz upon mention; it gave me the vibe of sleeping over with a best friend. spontaneously doing things late at night to get to know each other and ourselves!!
I love seeing how happy and settled you are Jenn. I still remember the video when you broke your front tooth and hit such a low. It’s great seeing how far you’ve come 💗
I did a dry year during the pandemic and it changed my outlook on alcohol for life. I rarely drink now and I just feel so much better physical and mentally when I unwind without it!
i’ve been following jenn since clothesencounters /uc davis (which is partly the reason why i went to uc berkeley and loved my time in the bay area despite a nasty breakup and having to move back home now). i love these videos! especially after breaking out of a depressive funk these past weeks…it feels like you’re my online older sister who creates peaceful content 💖
i loved this! it didnt feel like you were just shooting a video, but it felt like we got to watch you hanging out with yourself and enjoying your me time. glad you get to have those moments jenn
My boyfriend and I had stopped drinking for nearly 2 years. We didn’t force ourselves but it helped us so much. I felt more productive and we also saved money 😆 bonus. But this year weddings popped up and we decided a few drinks was okay but we don’t feel the need to drink, I don’t miss drinking at all, an occasional one here and there is nice.
I loved this style so much. It felt so intimate and truly like I was doing everything with you , following you around and just catching up like w a loved one ❤️
Hi there, I'd just like to say that I watch you, Sophia and Weylie and I think that you are all fantastic role models for young women. I wish you and RU-vid had been around when I was in my 20s - I'm 62 now! I think it would have been very comforting and I would have learned a lot. I'm still learning from you guys (! started watching you and Sophia because of your Korean heritage since my husband and I are interested in visiting S. Korea)!
I really enjoyed this style of your Q&A I felt like we were hanging out like friends do. So casual. Loved it. Also loved that you showed yourself doing dishes haha idk why I enjoyed that so much, but it just reminds us that you’re human too with everyday mundane tasks haha. Thanks for always keeping it real Jenn!
Loved this style of video!!!! Loved how the changing backgrounds make it feel intentional yet entertaining but also the laidback-ness of it feels more personal,, keep these coming!
Loved how chill and relateable this was! 😍 As a first time pregnant mama, I've been looking for lots of positive inspo in the content that I'm consuming and your videos have been it. Can't wait for the next upload! ✨
i loved this type of video!! honestly, watching your videos always make me so inspired to just live my life with gratitude and this one was even more amazing :) thank you jenn for sharing!!
Love this format 💓 I even watch your video when I’m washing dishes at home alone , it feels like I am having a friend with me! 🥺✨ I have recently watched your old vlogs as well you really grew a lot! I would love to see you reacting to the old vlogs that should be fun and inspiring at the same time! 😁
I’m a therapist! Go back to school its definitely a field that you could work up into your 70s. Honestly better help is a slap in the face to us therapists due to what they want to pay us. Our education and license is worth way more. They pay us about a third of what we can make on our own which is why I have my own practice.
Ahh, this def gives me the push to get my license in the future. I understand your frustrations and it's a valid point. However, I still stand behind Betterhelp because I feel like it has democratized affordable therapy to the public. Either way, I'm very happy to hear you have your own private practice. Thank you for your service to the community! x
Jenn!! I ALWAYSSSS look forward to your videos!! Legit you have become my comfort RU-vidr 💓 you set me on track, inspire me, comfort me, I can watch you during downtime or even when I’m working hard at the gym!! Thank you for being so authentic and for making incredible videos 🥰 I’m so happy to support someone as amazing as yourself and thank you for bringing a little happiness and comfort into my life with each video!! 💓💓💓💓 I hope to meet you someday!!
Hey Jenn, I am so happy to see how much you've grown. You really are an inspiration for girls and woman around the globe. I really love how reflective and insightful your videos are, they really help, even though I am not a mother right now :D Oh, and the journalling book you have means "Lighthouse" in German!
Thank you for this q&a! I’m a new mom as well of a 5 month baby boy and have found your videos to be so relatable and helpful 💗. Can you share where you got your signet ring from? It’s so pretty ✨
As a student of psychology, its nice to hear it from you that you would’ve wanted to become a licensed therapist..Its so cool that you are interested in it as well. Just gave me a small boost. 😭🍀
Jenn I always look forward to your videos and words can’t describe how happy I get ! Your videos are like a warm weighed blanket and it’s because you have an amazing and beautiful energy and such great ethics and morals and it shines through naturally. You are one of the many people who inspire me to live my life to the fullest on my own terms and do what brings me joy and peace and work hard. I’m working towards big changes and enjoying the moments and where I’m at along the way and watching your videos is one of the things that has helped me through that. Like I got motivation to clean my room one time when I saw you cleaning in one of your videos. Anyways this is long but just wanted to say that and thank you for everything ! 💛💛💛
