This song was written by an amazing singer/songwriter, Randy Van Warmer. He is best known for his hit single on the Bearsville label, "Just When I Needed You Most". He died of leukemia in 2004 at age 48.
Bunch of young people don't know history but have opinion of everything. The original song was written and sing by Randy Vanwarmer in late 1970s. He allows Alabama to use the song with 80's uptempo. Now, Florida Georgia line raise the tempo just little bit more. Song credit goes to Randy Vanwarmer. RIP
I'm happy to hear them cover this song. I'm a "new" country fan but this was one of the few country songs I liked back when I was younger (When Alabama did it) . I'm going to see FGL in October and really hope they perform this Live.
This is a great song remake by two of the greatest country singers. Don't talk trash about them because you are not from the generation that appreciates this kind of music.
look at all the damn wining I believe they did great on the song yes it is an oldie but if the modern day hit artists would do more songs like this country would be at the peek of all music charts so shut up with the damn complaints Tyler and BK great job guys keep it up
The original may not be able to be topped... However, if Alabama wanted these guys to make a cover of this song/teamed up with them, there was a good reason behind it. FGL is honestly the fastest rising country duo right now, and are probably near the top of the fastest rising country duos in the history of country music.
I Will Forever Love You Guy's And All Of Your Music. I Will Never Forget You Two.You Guy's Will All Way's Be In My Heart. This Song Isn't My Fav Fav But It's Bought On My Favorite's List. "Get Your Shine" On Is My Number 1 Favorite And "Cruise" Is My Number 2 Favorite.
Love the original but FGL did a great job!...wanted you to know your vid is posted in the Facebook group Songs of Strength where we share uplifting songs like this one - all are welcome! Find us at facebook.com/groups/songsofstrength
Brian (the other guy, as you call him) usually sings background/harmony. Tyler does most of the singing. If you really listen to most of their songs you can hear Brian singing background/harmony. On occasion, like with this song, he sings some of the main vocals. :)
This should be the original this version is the most awesome one I have heard! Forget Alabama! Florida Georgia line is the bomb (I’m not trying to offend Alabama fans)
@@Jaidyn228 ain't gonna change your opinion, but theres a reason Alabama sold 40+ number one hits and fgl has 15. Granted, that's still a good bit of hits but nothing compares to Alabama.
LOVE THIS VERSION. IS THERE ANYTHING THESE GUYS CAN'T SING AND SOUND GREAT. ONLY EVER HEARD THEM SING 1 SONG THAT I DIDN'T LIKE AND THATS THE NEW VERSION OF THIS IS HOW WE ROLL. I LOVE FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE!!
Given the original is amazing!! Nothing compares to it. But at least Florida Georgia Line didn't butcher it as a cover. As for Mr. BaconCripsyPDX Just like everything else in this world, things are changing. Auto tune is in EVERY type of music. Even with older singers still making music. They're not screwing up country like some new young artists.
It is ok. They are trying to get a great version of a song to a new generation of music. They are trying to get a new crowd of people to like country music.
Why does everyone hate this so much? Country is probably my favorite genre of music, but this ("Country Rock" I think is what the genre is called) isn't the most horrible thing to crawl out of Satan's ass. I actually really like this version.
FGL is awesome and you can't say crap like his voice is auto tune no and how do you know if it's auto tune ya you you don't know so be quiet FGL FGL FGL FGL FGL !!!!!!!!!!
I dont know these dudes names but if the guy that rarely sings lead would sing lead more I could tolerate them. He is actually pretty good. Guy who does the majority of the lead vocals is horrible!
This is entirely in the wrong key. No need to downtune for this song because it is not that high to begin with. This also sounds overproduced. This is just plain shit. But the original by Alabama sounds great.
