Lol well it's only on pre-order, shipping starts december 3d. And why would you buy via amazon ? I don't get it.. I pre-ordered mine from logitech website.
It looks super cool, but it's so ridiculously expensive. I much prefer one with Qi Wireless charging like the HyperX Pulsefire Dart, idk why don't other companies do that, it's a good in between convenience and not having to buy a mouse pad more expensive than the actual mouse
they need to make a whole video about this so this scamming from logitech stops. it's not only their switches in mice, it's their cheap keycaps on premium keyboards which have to break or their dying blue leds in all there keyboards. it's all on purpose and no one address those issues!!! WTF
@RTX3090 owner yes check their reddit, it's always the same problems. like too much play between left/right steering or with the pedals you press slightly and nothing happens.
@RTX3090 owner Fanatecs aren't by any means kids toys, they're easily the highest end manufacturer in the relatively "mainstream" arena, but I will say that me and my friends have not yet had a single piece of Fanatec gear work flawlessly, they've always had larger or smaller issues with them. Some are annoyances (like have to keep jiggling a USB plug to make sure it's absolutely perfectly in) while others have been showstoppers (like shifters just failing, giving random outputs). This includes CSW v1.5 and 2.5 wheelbases, CSR-E wheelbases, universal hub rim adapters, CSP and CSL Elite pedals, shifters, and I'm probably forgetting something. Usually seems to have something to do with EMI or grounding issues, always electric rather than mechanical FWIW. I personally still have a Logitech G25 that has been with me for about 13 years, BUT it is my 3rd one, had to RMA the first 2 in fairly short order (paddle shifters got contact issues in the 1st one and the H-gate shifter has issues in the 2nd one), the 3rd one has been super reliable though. Oh, and one of my friends' G27 had that issue where the optical encoding disc cracks and gets loose on the steering shaft, meaning the center point wanders all over the place, though that was quickly sorted with glue. They also sell aftermarket brass ones for that, it's a fairly common issue... (I'm also on my 3rd wireless G502 mouse, first two developed double clicking issues...) My main atm. is an ooold old T500 RS, and so far at least, anecdotally, I (and my friends) have had better off the shelf success with TM than with any of the other options. Knock on wood, across 3 sets of wheels and pedals, several different rims and half a dozen shifters no-one has had an issue yet. For me dealing with Logitech's customer service hasn't been an issue, since I live in a country where the store has to take care of that stuff, I just return a faulty product and that's that. Fanatec's customer support hasn't been kind to my friends (long wait times, lack of responses, not fixing or replacing stuff with documented issues on video), though other people praise them, so I guess it varies a lot. And TM... Well I haven't had to deal with TM's customer service yet, stuff has just worked so far. But TM is the smallest sample size we have yet, and even then it'd be handled like with Logitech, i.e. via the store. Nothing is ever foolproof, all manufacturers carry a risk with them, it's just about whether you get lucky or not and what kind of service you get afterwards. Logitech sells an insane amount of gear, and the vast majority of units work just fine, but there are enough duds that you get a lot of angry people on the internet. But the likely 90+% of people never having issues don't really make a noise either, so you just get to hear one side of the story.
To answer the powerplay question: I use it and LOVE it. I have the mousepad act as the receiver for my desktop, then have the USB receiver that came with the mouse in my laptop so I can pick up the mouse and take it with me, and have it just work without worrying about forgetting the receiver and never worrying about battery life. Made a big difference when I was going to and from university.
5:34 as a long time G pro user, the grips are a necessity and they do not get gross for a very long time but you may want to clean it carefully, the weight change is great and the amount of hyperglide that they put on the bottom is amazing
It was the Omron 50m having double-click issues, not nearly as prevalent on the Omron 20m, which the Superlight is reported to have a variant of installed in them. It is also due to undervolting, not overvolting.
finally someone who knows whats up. every logitech mice has to double click sooner or later. check this video for more informations ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v5BhECVlKJA.html why doesn't LTT address this issue??? so maybe something will change in the future.
@@John-wc6lk you should replace the switches, there is plenty of guides on RU-vid, could seem scary at first if you have never done it, but at the end is really simple.
@@stankbuddha not a scam, it will eventually happen to every mouse you own. It's the biggest problem with mechanical switches, they are destined to wear and double click. It's why there's a pretty decent sized growth towards optical switches. Razer, Coolermaster, Roccat are all developing optical switches for this reason.
Logitech G series mice are my favorite, the sensor and ergo’s perfect for my use case. BUT it’s the durability of their buttons that’s the problem. I have tons of fairly new discarded double-clicking ones, not sure if its by design coz they don’t last as good as the rest of the product.
you dont have to throw away the mouse just give it to a tv technician or someone that works on PCB to change the switches or do it yourself it's really easy
Dude it has a disgustingly safe shape with a really slimy coating ( I don’t even sweat while gaming either). I think the viper ultimate is better in those departments but to be fair it’s clicks are kinda lame ( I think this is corrected on the viper mini which I hope gets wireless soon ) but preference is first when picking a mouse
@@gadielornelas7971 I bet u bought the viper ultimate and just want to slander every other mouse, like I have a viper ult but I don’t pretend every other one is shit
@@mahieu7864 deciding factor of mice is shape over everything else. If you claw/fingertip, you will likely like viper ultimate more. While if you palm/claw you will likely like g pro wireless/superlight shape more.
Yes but it's so ridiculously expensive. I prefer a mouse with Qi Wireless, which is a fraction of the cost but still a big improvement over cable charging
@@LuisVasquez-nu4hu not only does it cost more, it also limits your mousepad choice by a lot. And if you think the g-sr-se is fast, or any logitech mousepads are, boy are you mistaken..
Yup, Micro-USB is an instant fail. Aside from only having access to a mouse which just broke, I see no point in buying the product. I'm loathe to buy anything new, which I can get away without buying, that uses older USB. It's nuts. The only worse thing is that we don't seem to be any closer to moving to the next QI standard for wireless charging - I don't care about speed, I care about putting my device anywhere on the pad and being able to charge through a desk. :D
My Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum RGB is a couple weeks away from being 4 years old. Yes it's wired and yes I've wrecked the USB plug on it twice but it's still good. In case you didn't know you can get tool free male USB A to crimp on if you ever break a USB A plug.
@@daveedee3626 I don't mean they fail. I mean the device having an out of date USB that's always been a pain in the neck to plug in, and is in no way as user friendly as USB Type C, is an epic fail in engineering. I've had it up to here with old USB and proprietary charging for no particular reason. I don't care if my devices are a millimetre thicker, or a little heavier. As for wired mice & keyboards, I ditched those antiquated things years ago and I won't be going back.
@@jonevansauthor I was mainly agreeing with your comment about being loathe to buy anything new. I am the same and am still using a mouse from 4 years ago. Works fine and I've only had to repair damage because I've been clumsy. The buttons and wheel feel just as good as when I bought it.
@@daveedee3626 Ahh sorry if I seemed rude. It's obviously RU-vid's fault :D Somehow. Mice are so personal and I find each new one feels wrong like a new pair of shoes. Fortunately they last a long time. But I'm over 40 so my gaming mostly consists of getting shot repeatedly in the face by fast twitch kids. My only real hope of dominating them would be crossplay against console fans I think but I'm sure they'll get aim assist anyway. And you know, be much better at the games than me. What I really want is a good, comfortable mouse, with a good battery life or the ability to swap a charged battery in. And a mouse matt that charges it wirelessly (and ideally my phone and earbuds etc too). One day! :D
Only if you are wanting to spend 130 dollars for a mousepad, plus these mice easily last for weeks after a full charge. I’d rather see USB-C with fast charging over powerplay.
@@harshpatil9825 Because I don't see why I'd need a charging mousepad when a mouse lasts over a month on battery. Either will it only save my mouse from having to charge but not my headset and keyboard.
@@Niels_f2704 The duration of the battery is actually ridiculous. Red light comes on so early I have literally time to schedule my charging to low intensity hours days later. I'm on 77% right now and I already forgot when I charged it last time. I don't think this convenience is worth $130.
thank you for mentioning the double click problem. i was considering this for my next mouse, but my g703 is double clicking since the first week of use, and no way i'm gonna deal with this again, ever(if anyone cares, i set up a autohotkey that blocks the second click, if you're having issues)
I use PowerPlay at home (Windows) and at work (with MacBook Pro), love it. The new Logitech GHUB is also available on Mac now, so it has better support.
the plastic on the Aerox 3 is not "lower quality" by the way, Steelserie wanted a rougher texture to give a very good grip without having to include grip skins like Logitech did (HyperX does this too with the PulseFire Haste) Also, the Aerox 3 is 99 USD, not 129 USD The GPW is dropping from 149 to 129, trhe GPSP is getting at 149. The Razer Viper Ultimate is still at 129 without the dock, 149 with the dock, though there is sales for the dock version at 99 USD currently
@@BLNKT. they did not, they changed it back to the 20m click switches from 5 years ago. they were used in the first g502 mice and they already double clicked. they work better but they will still double click. they need to use low voltage switches, that is the only fix. you can see here why it's happening. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v5BhECVlKJA.html i really can't believe that LTT doesn't address something like this but rather still get sponsored by them. it's going on since 2013/2014 now and no one gives a shit. i had to RMA 30 g502 because of this. only soldering low voltage switches into the mouse fixed my issues. overpriced trash, nothing else. sadly

I have a G Pro and a Powerplay mouse pad. It's the greatest thing in the world! It just works perfectly and it has never failed me once in one whole year now. Plus there's literally no way you can compare other wireless mice charging systems like razer's and corsair's ones to powerplay. It's literally just the top. Everyone should try it once to understand. Or actually, to just forget it is there, doing its job and keeping your mouse charged for years while you hardcore game. One thing I suggest tho, if you play with veeery low DPI settings like me, is buying 2 XXL mouse pads (those 900x400 pads) and cut down from one the shape of the powerplay pad, fit it into the XXL pad and using A4 sheets to risen it and cancel the height gap that would make a bump on your pad's area and make your hand not move evenly. All of this because sadly Logitech does not produce a XXL pad with a powerplay fitting... Logi? Pls
@fuck google I had two G502s, the first one came broken and the second one broke within 4 months. Tbh, i think It's not Razers issue, i just think manufacturers are just trying to cut corners anywhere possible and that just creates a "mouse loterry".
@@matisek7923 You have to specify which G502 model. Seems like the older ones last longer because my Proteus Core is still doing great after 6 years of use.
David's semblance switches so much between being all cool and relaxed when he is at CC, to actually become an anxious chihuahua whenever he does some unboxing in here. So weird, yet entertaining.
it seems the issue with the omron switches found in the newer gaming mice from Logitech are being extremely "undervolted" which is causing the double click/ click-drag issues. The omron switchss used in the Logitech gaming mice are spec'd at 5 volts 0.7mA to 1mA. this worked for a while since the brains of the mouse were working with 5V. But now days the newer mice are using like. 3.3v at 0.08mA...? from what ive seen, you can purchase the proper switches, still made from Omron, for pretty cheap. its just sad peeps are spending $150 for a mouse that immediately needs repair to last any longer than a few months. i think i heard you say they were "overvolting" the switches. That peaked my interest. so ive been checking it out for the last hour or so :)- Please correct me if im wrong! this stuff is cool. i like learning about this kind of stuff.
Went to a Viper Ultimate after 3 double click RMAs for my G703. Until Logitech addresses their reliability issues I'm not touching another of their mice.
Logitech: overall quality gaming mouses/keyboard Also Logitech: Whats a USB-C Port? Lets ignore that even on stuff that cost like +200$ far from Perfect
@ i was also thinking about a keyboard i saw from logitech PC gaming "controlls" is more outdated than nintendo hardware(known to be outdated hardware often with not having USB-C port ) that is sad not just logitech has this problem but most company that make gaming mouse/keyboards
The Aerox isn't made form cheaper plastic, it's made in that texture in order do decrease (From my experience eliminate even) the fingerprint stains. Nothing sticks to it.
I really liked my Logitech mouse, but I got through about 3 in the space of 6 months because the switches kept failing so I've had to switch to Razer now
But.. they replace the mice for free? I know the downtime isn’t great, but you can also repair it for yourself, and many people like the changed clicks (Kailh GM 4.0 fans are out there) a lot more than the stock ones, it’s not like you were FORCED to switch, y’know.
@@YTHandlesWereAMistake it's a fair point, but I especially working from home I need a reliable mouse not just for gaming. Admittedly they did replace it, but I shouldn't have to go through the effort of getting it repeatedly replaced or fixing it myself when it should just work out of the box. The Razer was overpriced imo but it's been reliable.
@@charlessewell Razer mice start to double click within a year, I've gone through 4 nagas and my current death adder has just started within 6 months.
I’ve heard if you just blow into it that’ll fix it. I don’t have the mouse but saw multiple ppl say this fixed their issue. Static electricity can build up and cause this issue
I have PowerPlay, and I'm with Linus, it's wonderful. No wires, no manual charging, and it just works, I never have to think about it, unless I'm thinking "Wow, I sure do like this PowerPlay."
I have a regular viper and it's basically the perfect mouse except for the switches. I can't stand the feel of the optical switches, it's the same problem with optical keyboards. Takes away almost all of the tactility for a microscopic and imperceptive increase in response time. I really tried to like it, I even paracorded it and swapped out the feet but the clicks just kept getting worse and worse until they became lower quality than my old $3 staples mouse. If they made a version of the Viper with traditional switches I'd buy it in a heartbeat. It's the perfect shape.
My G502 wireless had the double click issue :( Ended up putting Kailh switches on there myself, no regrets. Love Logitech mice, shame about the switch issues
Have you tried the wireless G502? I'm thinking of getting one, I also like heft to my devices. I already have the G Pro wireless because I found it really cheap on preorder with a price error.
@@leonro I have not, but if you do not take it everywhere you go, you do not notice the wire, since it is braided. I will say though, with the weights in it, the 502 WILL wear out the glide pads pretty quick. I need to get some for mine.
@@leonro I went from G502 Proteus Core to G502 Lightspeed. The freedom of movement is very much noticeable if you use very low sensitivity and move your mouse a lot. I only put 4 weights in the center as the extra two for the rear make it unbalanced. Polling rate is set to 500Hz instead of 1000Hz to get 50% more battery life so that one charge lasts for about 1-2 weeks for my use.
@@leonro I have the wireless G502, it feels great, the lack of wire is a bless, there's a lot more movement and the use for it is highly adaptable. For those who haven't tried bigger, heavier mice, it might be worth it if you notice some discomfort or pain in your hands.
@@Celician83 My Proteus Core still doesn't need new glide pads after 6 years of heavy use with all weights installed. Maybe you're putting a lot of pressure on your mouse or your mousepad is more abrasive than mine (Steelseries QcK, QcK+).

Exactly, and that's actually where they got the USB port right, lol. Everyone's complaining about the lack of USB C, but I haven't had a USB C port last me over a year yet.
USB C is the only port I haven't broke with standard use. I'm a little salty that my g915 tkl uses micro usb but at least it doesn't get moved around while charging, the mouse however is unacceptable.
Logitech Powerplay is amazing. It's really nice having a wireless mouse that you literally never have to plug in. The only downside really is that you can't use any mousepad you want.
I guess you could put the charging part under a different mousepad, but it wouldn't look right or be flat. Unless it's the same size as the included pads. But the included pads have a special backing that helps them stay in place, so any pad you replace it with will move too much.
Love that you let people work on projects they're passionate about, it makes the content much better and its nice to get different perspectives from more of the LTT team
I’m so glad you actually know something about mice and that IPS is what’s really important, which is why I like the new Razer mice with 450 and 650 options
5:00 400 ips (inches per second) = 0.01016 km/s of maximum read speed; 9:00 sensor is rated for 250 km; So take the mouse and push it forward at a speed of 400 ips (10.16 m/s or 36.58 km/h) and it'll take you 250/0.01016 = 24606.3 seconds (that's 6.8 hours) straight.
If you happen to have Problems with the scroll wheel of the G Pro, there is a new firmware you can download to fix it! It doesn't update it in the Software, you have to download it yourself. Its on the Drivers Page from Logitech, Version 15.2.26 it fixed it for me! How is the battery life to the GPro Superlight? Did they cut it down for weight savings?

@@sharifhaque99 the wireless dongle is USB A. So if your laptop only has USB C, you’ll need an adapter. The mouse has a micro-USB port and included a USB A to micro-USB cable.
ShortCircuit: A light mouse gets even lighter. That's good for performance ... Me: Putted in all extra masses (22,5 g) into my old and already heavy Sentinal Advance II for years.
For the price I think it's very much worth considering basically every other option on the market first, then coming back to this if it's what you really need. Model O is far cheaper with better features, viper ultimate offers a dock, optical switches, and (IMO) better software by a mile, Pwnage ultra custom has 2 different wireless shapes now as well. If none of those fit for you then the superlight is fine, it's just so damn expensive.
The G pro series are great in every way except for the mouse clicks, I've had my 903 replaced 4 times for double click and hold down response issues. Gonna mod it by replacing them with better switches to do Logitech's job for them.
Just an fyi, at least in gpw batches 2028 and later they have changed the switches that come pre-installed from 50M -C variant to a 20M which, supposedly, doesn’t fail as fast, and I believe this new one gets the same treatment, others are probably to follow soon, if not already.
i just bought a G903. Even though I didn't have any double-click issue, the scroll wheel is a bit wobbly to the side. Do you have the same issue? Coming from a G502 I find this really annoying.
"you can feel the difference bwetween the glide pads the original feels rougher" gosh i dont have any on my DeathAdder 2013 and im cool with that still xD
I am the same as you i like a heavier mouse i have both the G502 and the G502 lightspeed(wireless) i kindof wish that they kept the lightspeed the same build quality and weight but they decided to make it lighter but it is fine i use it for my laptop the the wired one for my desktop. I also like having all the buttons i use them all the time
I was like you before, feeling that heavier mouse gives you more control. I switched to a lighter mouse (G403, 88g) then a lightweight mouse (Aerox 3, 66g) and boy, was I wrong back then. Like if I wanted to use my old G502 again, that would be painful
Still in the year 2020 youtubers makes a stupid face with their mouth open in the thumbnail. anyone remembers when youtubers always put a small red circle in the thumbnails ? think that was in 2012-2013
I had the double click issue with my G502 lightspeed 6 months into having it. My previous G900 also had it after a couple of years. They should really get that fixed.
Lefty here.. Bit the bullet and shelled out for the G Pro about 6 weeks ago. I fkn love it! So, it's sad to see another product "upgrade" out of the dwindling list of options for lefties😢 Here's to hoping my G Pro lasts for a good long while.
I just sold my Powerplay pad, used for a year. Don't miss it tbh, you can just attach a magnetic adapter and charging is seemless. I have a battery % indicator on my Streamdeck, so this helps keeping track.
