I used to burn my tounge on steaming hot coffee daily and my tounge's pretty much stayed that way. The middle of my tounge is brighter and thinner, and i cant taste like EVERYTHING but i can taste and tell the different between sweet/sour spicy/mild/bitter etc. mainly on the sides of my tounge.

I know how y'all feel on the dream thing. My wife woke me up one time asking me to cook her bacon and eggs. I said what, she said it again all nice and stuff. So I get up and check we don't have it. So I go to the store and get it. Come home and start cooking it. She smells it I guess or got up to go to the bathroom and comes in the kitchen. She ask me what I'm doing. I said cooking bacon and eggs. She said why. I said because you wanted it. Because you asked for it. She said no I didn't. So we went back and forth. Until like a minute later we realised she was sleeping, was sleeping when she asked for it that is. So I went and did all that for no reason. Seriously did not know she was sleeping at the time. She did eat the stuff later that morning when she got up. Keep it in mind it was like 3 in the morning when this all happened.
