It seemed to me like it was a parody of a parody. Unless it was just a strange coincidence that CB4 and Fear of a Black Hat were released the same exact year.
XiAmFAUSTX fear of a black hat came out first- they just both happen to parody nwa like crazy. I think fear of a black hat is better- when I was a kid, I thought they were both the same movie lol
Dalia Burgoin LOL so did I, but I seen CB4 first. I thought it was like how a major motion picture is being made and takes longer to come out, but there is like a low budget copy of it that ends up coming out to video first, even though the major motion picture is released after, the fact it was being made before is what I thought about CB4 vs Fear of a Black Hat.
XiAmFAUSTX I remember watching CB4 when I got a little older, and then feeling disappointed because I was waiting for the "peanuts" song the whole time. I was also waiting for the 'ice froggy frog' song lol. I got it all mixed up
I think because of the hype around CB4 at the same time. That film was nowhere near as good, but had more money thrown at it, and had like a thousand cameos.
They really didn’t have any big names attached. Some might be big now, but back then, not so much. Also the person that mentioned CB4 hit it right on the head. And I think there’s some kind of distribution issues as well, because I haven’t even seen it available on DVD or Blu-ray.
"In further N.W.H. news, Tone-Def, former spiritual member of N.W.H, currently on his own with New Human Formantics, has run into some trouble in New York City. Some cabbies there aren't buying Tone's assertion that he's not black. First, he was turned down by a cabby on Broadway. Then when he attacked a car, screaming, "l am not black, I am only human", the cabby jumped out and with some nearby colleagues proceeded to beat T until police arrived. In New York City, apparently, being human isn't enough. I'm Kurt Loder, still white and reportedly human in New York City."
😂😂 its a universal thing we all flush it doooown, when you wipe do you look at the tissue? Most folks do it ain't even an issue 😂 this man is classic in the acting game hands down
David J lol yes thank you for the correction. Man, I was born in 82 but I am one of those people who are clueless in the media world. I didn't know the name of my favorite 80's songs until I was 25! LOL
XiAmFAUSTX Yeah this is a PM Dawn spoof. De La Soul actually dropped the DAISY shit in part because of groups like PM Dawn trying to jump on the bandwagon and create a gimmick out of it.
Everybody laugh, it's STILL hilarious. But High-key, in 2023...these are actually BARS!!! If you're reading this, I GENUINELY hope you have a peaceful day. And always, don't forget how to laugh.
If you have never seen the entire movie, I urge you to check it out if you can find it. Truly the funniest parody movie I've ever seen. They spoofed PM Dawn, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, N.W.A., C+C Music Factory, and Run-DMC. Hilarious movie!
This is just the classiest, mind altering, as in illuminating, production ever. Well, it is definitely amazing, and I have re seen this for many years, talked about it to anyone who I think might be ready for this level of message, including my kids and I just want to thank you for keeping this alive. This should be Way out there in mainstream. Are the original CD's still available?
I watched this movie again last Sunday and I was laughing nonstop. Fear of a Black Hat absolutely kills me! I couldn’t for the life of me stop laughing. It captured the era of hip hop that it was trying to parody so perfectly. I watched CB4 which is also funny but in my opinion only in spurts Fear of a Black Hat just keeps the laughs coming and they’re so frequent. I’m a wreck during this scene especially. Because this song is hilarious and the face he makes after he takes a leak on the rocks has me on the floor. This movie is so funny and so underrated.
Sure it’s not the glassesLOL. Can’t find a digital copy anywhere. One of the best Parody movies I’ve seen. Hope someone will release this classic to stream or even purchase
I remember in the 90s when we used to record things on tape we somehow recorded the whole movie onto a tape and listen to it when we drive around. classic, hilarious.
This is a great movie. Some of the things they make fun of wouldn't relate to younger people because they don't know the bands and things they are making fun of. But a lot of the shit still applies today, like the ridiculous video Booty Juice.
Rock n Roll is a paradise!!! I'm an Artist!! In Florida... I transformed my condo into a ROCK and ROLL Paradise! Something out of a dream!! I would leave my door open and people would stroll In and just look around...once inside you experience, "Floor Clouds"created by a smoke machine, a Bar with cieling susspended TV, and The Country Club Towers were protected by armed Guards, and Camera's. Everyone had their own Parking Spaces! The BB'Q Areas were a BLAST On weekends! Fantasic, Careokke! Water Volleyball! Basket Ball etc. etc. It was the time of my life...And now it's all gone! Hurricane Andrew took care of that in 92. Not one picture or memorabilia of any kind left to show for It all! Paradise (2) is in the works as we speak...
