I am an L.A for Calc I and II. I always recommend you to the students. I found your playlist on ODEs the absolute best. I transferred from Physics undergrad to Mechanical Engineering and now that I am approaching the end, I tend to want something more math related. Anyway...you are a gem. RU-vid is excellent to nudge a student in the right direction. But always and always read your books and do all the exercises at the end of each chapter. Hey Trefor! As an undergraduate currently going through some very intense exams, your course playlists (particularly vector calculus) have been absolutely crucial in my studies. Thank you! Whilst there are plenty of RU-vid channels on the "random interesting stuff", I feel there is a distinct lack of quality online courses. My only options are either recordings of university lectures (like MIT OCW) or search RU-vid and hope someone has made a video on that individual topic. No one else makes the concise 3b1b style videos tha follow the content of an undergraduate course. It's the best of both worlds and you are incredible at it. Edit: some courses I would love to see would be stochastic processes, metric spaces, algorithmic graph theory, advanced combinatorics, and measure theory. Thank you once again, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

i cant stress enough how valuable you are to 3rd world countries students like me, we either have to wait until highschool is over and apply to the top universities in order to get the quality teaching, or continuously having to search for the right resources online. As a highschooler, i really enjoy your contents and would love to see more on number theory, statistics, combinatorics, probability, real and complex analysis, algebraic geometry, discrete maths, geometric algebra, topology, all branches of geometry (differential, analytic, euclidean and non euclidean, etc), and the applications of math within other branches of science (computer science, cryptography, finance, chemistry, physics, biology). ONCE A AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR DEDICATION, dont be afraid to call for donations through platforms like Patreon, etc (maybe a platform to post exclusive and in-depth contents i guess), anyway wish you all the best!

Congratulations! This is very good news. I was just wondering where you got lost. In my opinion, the course videos are more valuable because you can slowly build a deeper understanding of very complex and profound concepts for mechanisms that cannot be fully understood in one video - no matter how interesting the topic is. You have to look for something that can be understood with a relatively limited range of knowledge. But whatever you do I'm sure it will turn out great. Your explanations are some of the best one can find on the internet.

Putting up content related to matrix calculus would greatly help people who are being introduced to machine learning and optimal filtering or want to know more about calculus. Having a complete list based on material such as chapter 2 of the "Matrix Cookbook" with the style that this channel has would be of great benefit to many students.

Hey! Thank you for your excellent videos. They played a massive role in my journey as an undergraduate student, and I'm glad it's there not only for the introductory courses, but also some of the advanced courses. Also, your latex videos were Invaluable resources when I was beginning. I'm really looking forward to more of those course content type videos. They're really high quality and sometimes I just lose myself thinking they're infotainment type videos, and are make an excellent resource for self study, so when I go back to a textbook I'm able to get a much better picture of what's going on. I'm curious if you'll be able to make any more videos similar to the LaTeX, exploring different softwares used in Mathematics. Few off the top of my head I'd love to see would be perhaps Wolfram One, Sagemath, Sympy, Lean, etc.

Hello Doc. It would be an understatement to say that you’ve basically changed my life. I have went through basically all your calc playlists and especially the vector calc one was phenomenal. I’ve recommended them to almost every student I come across nowadays. I hope this isn't too late! I would really love more videos on learning how to learn mathematics, specifically proof-based mathematics. The video of yours that I've replayed a dozen times is your math mind map video. I've gotten into mind maps and non-linear notetaking, but a lot of the resources are from a medical student and law student perspective and I'd love to see more of the pure math take where leaning on pictures instead of words is expanded on. Another piece of advice for learning is relating ideas to your real life, and I find that funny when trying to apply that to math because it seems like mathematicians created math because it was simple and beautiful and not like real life at all. The abstraction and disconnect from real life is what's supposed to be the enjoyable part but I think that makes it hard to grasp and learn when you get to higher levels. I've also heard from professors that it is good to have intuition sometimes but you don't want to be fooled by your intuition. When I'm learning something I want to imagine in my mind's eye what's happening, when I get to n-dimensional processes, what do I do when I can't trust what I imagine anymore?

Love your videos and they helped when I went back to school for computer science in my courses. I would love to see you take a stab at a "Cool Math Stories" line of video's that are good for all ages and tell cool math origin stories like the connection between astrology and radians, etc. My daughter who is young loves those kinds of stories and even if she doesn't understand the math behind it, she gets a few buzz words she is excited to learn and loves them. I think you got the personality to nail that and it would go a long way to creating the next generation of kids that are exited about math instead of seeing it as a grind.

I think the best video you could make would be one where you show your process for learning new content. For example maybe you read a chapter of a math textbook with new content you’ve never learned before and vocalize your thought process and what you think about while learning it and trying to make connections. It would be great if you could share your strategies like chunking or thinking of analogies etc. Sharing this process is kind of along the idea of “give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man how to fish and he eats for life”. It would be very valuable, thanks!

Please upload the playlists of many other branches of math's used in Physics and Engineering like PDE, Laplace transformation, Functional Analysis and Tensor Calculus courses. You are a blessing to someone in a 3rd world country studying Physics or engineering because we do not have competent teachers here.

This is, sincerely, wonderful news. I attended a high school (in Australia) for gifted students, but always believed a didn't have "a math brain". I was then 'forced' to study maths at university as part of my course, but could never follow the teaching style at university. Out of desperation - and having developed a deep loathing of mathematics (actual anxiety attacks over my coursework) - I turned to RU-vid. I still can't learn from my own lecturers, but you, Professor Leonard and The Maths Sorcerer have carried me all the way through Calculus IV. I now have one applied maths unit to go and, thanks to your great example, have decided to become a high school maths teacher myself. You have so beautifully modelled effective maths education and I want to be another person who unlocks the unfathomable for future students. To be more specific, I appreciate the way you scaffold learning: linking to past learning, modelling, demonstrating, providing visuals, etc. You don't just reel off theorem and expect the student to unpack all of that for their self. In addition, your channel is very well organised. It's not only very easy to find relevant videos, but I can select the playlist corresponding to a specific course and follow the logical sequence from beginning to end. This helps me to scaffold my own learning without needing to know how to sequence it for myself. Thank you. I just wanted to encourage you and let you know how very well you're achieving your goals in this space.

Its without doubt that I can’t do it without your works!!! One type of the content I believe would have a great market need is more advanced subtopic in math major. For example, your linear algebra videos include linear transform, spaces, but lack of more complex topic such as SVD, PCA etc. These are u sually students get stuck, and would desperately want to have a intuitive understanding which you provided. You really helped me a lot. This isn't some honey-smearing comment. I want to thank you. Your videos on Calculus helped me to get into Machine Learning and Quantum Mechanics. I struggled a lot with MvC. The moment it clicked for me was when I watched your Videos on Gradient. Since then my Math-knowledge skyrocketed. That would be great if you make some playlists on some topics on pure mathematics like 1-differential geometry 2-tensor 3-topology 4-complex algebra 5- differential equation or other stuff which are more important for the grade student of mathematics department.

I think a good idea is to some kind of background survey, I'd love to see some especially non-trivial content but it only makes sense to suggest if there's a good enough for you fit with audience/you have a strong interest in said topic.
