You’re not leaving anything behind, you’re now carrying beautiful memories and the friends you made in SR are in your heart and will welcome you with open arms whenever you return. Onwards and upwards, cheers to new adventures!
Going to a hustle and bustle PP City and it's not like a sleepy SR City. I grew up in PP City during the 60s and the city was so quiet and peaceful then before the war erupted in 1970. It seems just like yesterday. Only memory lives on. Have a great time there. Peace ✌️
Thank you, yes PP is crazy compared to SR, it’s a nice change from the sleepyness! That must have been a crazy & intense time for you, glad you got out ❤️
I had only spent a few days in Siem Reap last time I traveled. I landed back in Bangkok miserable, the Kingdom of Wonder had stolen my heart. Next year I'll be traveling again, looking forward to my return. Might even spend a whole month in SR by itself lol. It's an enchanting place with wonderful folks
You’re not alone in feeling this way. As someone older, I’ve also been moved to tears by the beauty of the world-majestic mountains, serene seas, flowing rivers, and endless beauty of the skie. These experiences are a gift, a testament to your intelligence and emotional depth. Your capacity for gratitude and empathy, especially when you feel the weight of leaving behind those who are poor and vulnerable, is something rare and precious. You should embrace these emotions, as they reflect a level of sensitivity and understanding that many people lack, often due to tough life experiences that dull their sense of connection and empathy. As the great poet Rumi once said, "Be drowned in gratitude and kindness, for they are the highest forms of intellectuality." To feel deeply is not a weakness, but a strength-a sign of a mind and heart attuned to the richness of life. Treasure this gift; it sets you apart in a world that often forgets the power of compassion and gratitude....
Cambodians are wonderful people who take time to learn English. I’m not sure the driver was crazy but please have more respect for the differences in culture and norms when you’re traveling 🙏🏽
Seam reap is a province of my heart and i love the most everytime i visit there i never ready to leave , i understand how u feel don't be sad i hope u are alright and thank for loving our country
Sarah, your kindness are touched by the innocents and open heart of the Khmer people like any human beings who love peace, cause you experience it with your own eyes and felt with your heart, don’t forget to go visit Khmer Krom people in southern Vietnam in Khmer villages and the rice fields, where true Khmer are living, not just the Khmer Temple 😢😢😢❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
I was a little emotional when I left as well. The best part is that you can always go back. That tuk tuk driver was hilarious. He did give you good advice about not using your phone to point with or else it could get snatched. Haha
@@unfilteredtraveldiaries you know I could ask you the same question. Haha. I don't sleep much and I use the quiet time in the early morning to catch up on RU-vid. Your video schedule is perfect for my nocturnal lifestyle. Haha
@@unfilteredtraveldiaries safe travels. I extended my stay in Dalat again. I'm heading back to Saigon in a few days, and then back to Phnom Penh to hunt for an apartment.
Hey Ricky! I rekon you’d love Cambodia, it’s chill & similar vibes to Isaan around Siem Reap. Thanks heaps, appreciate it! I wasn’t sure about doing a solo channel but glad I am now.
Met one of my best friends whilst traveling about 15 years ago on a shuttle bus in New York city, they ended up coming to Australia for a couple of weeks, lucky enough we have managed to cross paths a couple of times since. Its amazing how connected we can become in such a short amount of time. Enjoy Phnom Penh and Safe Journeys Sarah.
It really is, I met the most beautiful friends there and they’re people who will be lifelong friends! It was sad leaving because I just love it there so much & all the people there. Sometimes home is more about the people than the place.
Oh babe, remember this, Cambodia always have an open arms whenever you’re ready to return. We all loves you. Cambodia always have you in their heart ❤️
Tears & emotions are all part of the journey , certainly hard to leave some places - The bus looked good - gee that tuktuk driver was all over the place lol , you pretty much did everything for him - embrace the random - take care & safe travels - Thanks Sarah ✔️👋🙏
Yes, it’s good to let it out I rekon. Love a good cry! The bus was great & the tuk tuk driver was a bit of a weird character but we had a good time 😂 Thanks Ant, going with the flow is the best 😊
