You are right to post when you want, we - as your fans - are entitled to nothing . I am 71 years old and watch every video and they make me smile, even laugh out loud sometimes. I love your adventurous spirit, your sweet, humorous personality and your tenacity. I wish I had had even a drop of those things when I was your age. Now, about that cabinet, did you consider that instead of trying to follow the curve of the ceiling, you could just square off the top and then use the flat top for more storage of paperwork, etc. ? Keep on keepin' on - and stay safe!!

Dear girl, you have a life, and so should we. Yes it's a pleasant surprise when one of your videos shows up (warts and all, and let's face it, you have your off days just like the rest of us). We have a lovely caravan in our yard that we still haven't been able to get shipshape, and we live five minutes walk from Bunnings (our Aussie version of Home Depot.) Life (and youtube addiction) takes over sometimes eh! Take time out to relax and don't stress about schedules. We'll still be here.

Don’t worry about being behind on videos. It’s your life and your channel, so do what ever you want to do with it. Just tell people you are your own boss and this is at your decision when you post videos and when not. And they can get over their displeasure with your decisions it’s your life and channel. Have you discovered the "pull" lever under and to the right of the steering wheel? Pull opens and air hitting the front of the bus comes in. Push it (in mine I have to push it with my foot) closes it and keeps the toesies warm 😊

love that cabinet emma. a tip for your cold feet (in case you didn't know) pick up some toe and hand warmers from wal mart of home depot. they are pretty cheap and are great for keeping your feet and hands warm.

Remember to paint the side of cabinet facing windows black. Spent the nite in Snowville, Utah, last spring and the wind came down the canyon so hard I thought a fit train was coming thru my R Pod. At 3 am went outside looked around in the dark all was well. Next am outside... two pickups with rooftop tents were long gone.... to much wind . .they folded up and drove on.

Cold feet invest in some smart wool socks boots mukluks .Here in Montana when we get hit with -30 Mukluks have been better keeping my feet warm and dry. Try and dress in layers also that helps a lot when you travel and sit for long periods . Found the channel today and let me say it's refreshing to see you speak honestly about your journey. Wait people are getting mad/upset/irritated at you for not keeping YOU'RE videos updated in real time? Do they understand you're not a vlogger and don't post a video every other day/multiple times a week? 😂 Like why.. I just enjoy watching you progress and seeing what you're up to. I'm not ballsy enough to post my life on RU-vid .. I barely even post to Facebook/instagram 😂 That's probably why I like to watch you're videos.. a real person who's not trying to glamify life. Were just along for the ride.

The ONLY reason you should worry about what some viewers think, is if you wish to run your RU-vid channel as a business venture. If the intention is for profit, then the viewers that are essentially your income are important. However, if your RU-vid channel is more in the nature of a hobby... viewers opinions (including this one 😀) mean diddly to your personal schedule. I started watching for the bus development as your bus is similar to the one my wife and I are planning for, so I will continue watching as long as you keep on with the bus projects. If there is time between, or they are months after actually occurring, that still suits my viewing purposes! Be you, it'll all work out, even if not how you plan.

Your parking brake can stick if you park and pop it on while the brakes are really hot, or if you sit in one spot for a week or two and a little rust builds up. A lot of times, if you release the brake and give it a little bump in reverse, you can pop it loose.

Wear neoprene scuba socks in your boots, or alone. They keep your feet all nice and toasty in the winter (even tho that's not what they're for)!

Who says the cabinet has to fit tight to the ceiling, The closet wall is your partition, and leave the top flat for larger items, maybe with a lip so as driving things on top don't fly off either in a hard braking, flying towards front of the bus or in a turn flies off towards kitchen.

Thanks for the update Emma! I'm glad you have enough heat to live in the bus in winter, even if it's cold when you drive! I'll tell you a trick that I learned riding a motorcycle in the cold, that might help you when you drive the bus. Get some of those small "hand warmer" packets, and when you put on your socks, place one of those packets inside each sock, under your toes. It creates enough heat to keep your toes toasty for several hours at a time!

You do you, Em. I'm enjoying your journey and growth as you decide to share it with the world. Personally, I just love your ability to keep moving forward, even if it is not perfect. There is a lot of bravery in your decision-making that wasn't there in the past, and it's been fun watching you get to that point. Also, I love the music themes you put behind your sections. Especially that funny one when you start to spiral a few questionable choices in a row. It's impressive you have the courage to share, even the things that don't go well. It's refreshing and honest. It's a vibe that I wish more people had.

Gday emma birby is coming along great i was just thinking while watching this put a thin panel under that floor in the cabinet making a secret open space for what ever just have the bottom hinge or lift out and why not just paint the bench and desk tops in place also maybe paint some thin ply black and put behind the cabinet so it cant be seen from outside . all the best

make a sturdy box to fit the space and work around that to fill for trim... I frosted (spray) the windows that will never be open so no see thru but let light in.

I'm guessing you removed the school bus heater in the front? You could go to a junkyard or get a small heater core or buy one at an auto parts store. Plumb it into your old heater hoses and the engine heat will warm your feet. Add a shut-off valve to reduce flow or shut off in summer. A small 'muffin' fan to blow air through it, and you've built a bus heater!

Don't worry, do what you can. Who is curious, will watch to find out what is interesting, if someone is not happy, should really switch kanal. 😉 Hehe, that's called "shape picking".. You did it good, but the curvature of the roof is always bothering you. It looks promising though. To put a cabinet or something bigger together without risking to break something when only a screw or 2 holds, lay it on the front (the flat side) on the floor, so it will be easier to handle, since the side panels flapping at the top are a pain to manage and you should have 5 or 6 hands.. 😏 Other than that, you're doing some work and it's really interesting to watch your problem solving approacs.. Oh, that sweet innocently guilty look.. "should I do it?" 😇 and you're about to do it.. 😁 Cheers, Emma, keep on going.👍

Make your cabinet shelves adjustable with pegs so you can raise and lower your selves as required. Start your build in one area, finish it and move to the next. You are just going to drive yourself crazy bouncing around

Didn’t you have a pocket hole jig at one point? They’re good for cabinetry and the 1x2 inner framework pieces. They can serve same purpose as the metal angle brackets.

Ps...try and use a length of matching rope glued to cover join ...🫤
