and I'm glad that you all enjoyed those videos but internally I have been struggling with something and that's limited thinking.
Limited thinking causes us to not live up to our fullest potential and not receive the blessings that God has for us.
In 2014, I moved to Panama City, FL after getting stationed at Tyndall AFB while in the Air Force. I dreamed of living in Florida as a kid and my dream sheet that I filled out in Basic Military Training was full of Florida bases. My family and I loved our time in Florida and made lifelong memories there but we decided to try something new once the pandemic hit.
In 2020, we decided to pick up and move to Houston, Texas. Panama City, where we lived had been ravished by Hurricane Michael and the area was downright depressing and the pandemic made it that much worse, so we figured that this was as good of a time as any to try something new. • Video
We decided that we would try it out and that we could always just move back to Florida if we didn't like it. Well, we moved to Texas and we actually do like it here, we just like Florida better.
I went through some really rough times during my time as a teacher and I ultimately ruptured my Achilles. After recovering from surgery and dealing with complications, I had an epiphany if you will and I decided that life was short and that you never know when something tragic can happen. At the time, I didn't know when I was going to walk again. I told myself that when I'm able to walk again that I would walk with purpose and that I was going to stop limiting myself!
I wanted to travel the world with my family, build my business, and move back to Florida. That's the life that I wanted to live and the life that I believe that God wants for me. I left my job and devoted my efforts to my business and all things have been going well except for one thing... • I Quit My Job as a Tea...
Once I got back on my feet, I started limiting myself again and allowing doubt to creep in. Subconsciously I knew that it was more comfortable to just stay where I was than to pick up and move my family again. I began to wonder if I spent enough time in Texas to really get a good feel for if I liked it more than Florida or not. This caused me to find reasons as to why it would just be better to stay in Texas when in reality, I was just having limiting thoughts.
I had to ask myself, How can I afford to live in Florida as opposed to saying, "I can't afford to live in Florida." I truly believe that changing our thought process from "I can't" to "How can I" is an absolute game-changer!
My family and I are moving back to Florida and I can't wait! I'm so happy to have this clarity in my life but I'm even more excited to have identified my fear and face it head-on.
Don't limit yourself, don't question yourself, and question God. Identify what you need to reach a goal and then be relentless in attacking it. Ask yourself how, never tell yourself that you can't. You've got this!
