God will make you uncomfortable in a place where you do not belong. If they are not feeling this move, they can view it as a 'sideways move' and find something else that suits the whole family better.
Shes a g lol. This is how i used to be and id make friends everywhere i go and ppl loved me i seriously lost myself bc of the opinion of others telling me to be more calm and not myself. But those individuals that told me that all live miserable lives not true to themselves and are unhappy. So when ppl give you advice look it how they live not what they say and go live your life and use your own compass to guide you. I guess that is y i love rochelle's vlogs she reminds me of me lol.
By the way, Abuja is lovely. I went there for 5months... There's running water everywhere, the roads are fantastic, the electricity is way better than Lagos, the people are calmer and nicer, and you can get all official documents finalized almost immediately. Oh, and the transportation is 100 times cheaper than it is in Lagos.
Abuja is actually not a state in Nigeria. Nigeria 🇳🇬 has 36 states as a nation and Abuja isn’t one of these 36. Abuja is Nigeria’s capital and the city enjoys certain privileges as the federal capital city of Nigeria. Unlike the 36 states, each of which have elected governors, Abuja doesn’t have a governor, it has a federal minister who’s nominated by the president and then confirmed by the national legislature and he’s called the minister of the FCT, Abuja - minister of the federal capital territory, Abuja who functions as the chief executive of the host city of the president and the National parliament (Congress). Abuja has been Nigeria’s seat of power since 1991. Abuja was carved out of the center of Nigeria’s geographical space (Map) as the new federal capital of Nigeria due partly to the vehicular congestions in the erstwhile capital of Nigeria - Lagos State. In other words, Abuja is the seat of the federal government of Nigeria - the presidency, the Nigerian parliament, foreign embassies, UN organizations amongst other important national and international institutions reside in Abuja. The concept of Abuja is somewhat similar to the Washington DC which is not one of the 50 states in the USA 🇺🇸 but the capital city of the United States America. Abuja has a population of approximately 4.5 million people. I hope that helps
Roti! ❤️When you go to Canada get a portable battery/solar powered generator. Get it from Amazon in Canada then bring it in your suitcase back to Naija. This way you have a quick power source for in the house in addition to your fuel generator. The small portable one can power your phones, tablets, Wi-Fi box, small fans and other small electronics to tie you over in between when NEPA “off the lights.” This way you can run essential devices (phones, especially FANS, laptops and small usb lamps/lights) when you need a quick back up power source.
Legally, she can only carry a power station on a flight that is 100 watts or under. I know a person that has carried one with more watts, but the batteries run the risk of exploding mid air. I have a 300-watt Jackery, that has the old technology, but it is very dependable and is probably the best seller on Amazon. Jackery's newer power stations now have the Lifepo4 batteries but still don't think you can fly anything over 100 watts but of course people do.
Yes even that’s fine, even the smaller one’s can power laptop, MTN Wi-Fi box, phones, small lamp or fan. The essentials until she’s set up or transitions between NEPA and generator. It’s a big help.
Hi Rochelle, I would watch an hour long vlog from you. The only other person I watch that post extremely long vlogs is Peyton Charles, and I’m usually at work when I’m watching.
Try a straight 1hr vlog. Abuja is very different from Lagos but in both places it helps to have solid contacts to help navigate your 1st 6months!!! Good luck & safe journey!!!!
Rochelle! I can assure you that in your natural hair, you never look terrible. It could be the camera, but from my side of the screen you are beautiful, and you look gorgeous - whenever you let your hair out, or even tie it in a bun. I hated "yam-por" as a kid. It's pretty simple to make. Its basically yam pieces cooked in a stew. And, the red color comes from the palm oil used in the stew. You get the thick paste when you turn the yams in the pot as its boiling - over and over again. Sometimes, if you let it burn (over cook) you get a smokey flavor. PS: eating Egusi with rice is sacrilegious 😂😂😂 . Egusi goes with Eba, Amala, pounded yam, semo, etc. Basically with local dishes. I bet the waiter looked at you funny 😂😂😂. Wishing lots of love, peace and happiness in this your move(s). I cant believe you are not pulling your hair out. And, I hope the kids are taking it well... poor Naomi. Make it up to her, somehow. Otherwise... she's gonna tell all her dates (or a talk show somewhere) how you dragged her across half of Africa.
Wow it's been a minute since seeing your parents😅 they are hella funny so I cant wait for those vlogs!!❤ And I'll definitely watch your one hour vlogs😊
What you’re going through would drive me nuts! I know life can be difficult but honestly it really doesn’t need to be that difficult. Please take care of yourself. Please move.
Yea, I feel 3 hours is not bad. After im done with school work, being a housewife, and having no kids. I watch people's videos when they go live. I get my food turn on RU-vid on my TV and tune in to the live. ❤I feel its a good idea for you to do it.
Sensitive Teath and gums- brush with salt 2-4 times per week till it stops also good remedy for preventing pariah and gorggle with warm salt water it is good for gut health
Be careful dealing with mold ❤ i have mold illness now and it is the worst, Google mold illness, danger of mold and cirs etc please be careful dealing with it. I cant wait to see mom and dad
Yay! Abuja is good, I liked it when I visited. It’s reserve and a bit slow compared to Lagos but at least it’s cleaner and easier to navigate. The roads are food.
CLEAN being the operative word.... Lagos, from what we saw in her vlog, would DRIVE ME CRAZY. Understand, as Jamaican woman, Rochelle comes from a VERY clean culture. They like to accumulate a LOT OF STUFF, LOL... (it's cultural) but they are IMMACULATE in their cleaning (messy and clean are 2 different things) What I SAW was filth in Lagos (NOT SAYING ALL OF IT, but I don't think Rochelle is going to be comfortable living there, as I can see from her previous years of vlogs) Abuja is BEAUTIFUL and a STARK DIFFERENCE from where her significant other lives) Pray for her... and I hope she either relocates to Abuja, when she returns or STAYS in Canada, until she comes up with a plan. Please, continue to PRAY FOR HER peace of mind.
So the govt intentionally cleans their city with all the rich people and ignores the other cities, dont even fix roads. Typical African leaders. Im so sick of them
@@andreadaniels8484 I dont think they are relocating to Abuja because they opened the business in Lagos. Also, all that glitters is not gold. The rich people in Abuja are devil worshippers who perform sacrifices to stay rich. I wouldnt want her kids around that. Not saying that the other cities dont have cultists but Abuja is their center
I appreciate the long vlog from choice channels like yours. It's interesting. You are really adventurous and blessed. All these twists and turns would make a person cry. God has given you much grace for people. Enjoy life. I'm excited that you are getting a chance to see your parents and spend quality time with your dad. I'm sure they'll be excited to meet their new grandson. I'm looking forward to that vlog being long.😁
Girl I hope you have a blessed and wonderful time when you get home to your parents... A time for rest, joy, laughter, and peace of mind... Be at home, where everyone cares for you, even if you do not need or want it.. Wishing you all the best wherever you are.. God bless. I live in Richmond Hill, ON, watching you and being inspired..
Rochelle yuh nuh ramp fi practice yuh Ghananian/Nija accents 😂😂. Keep praying put God first in everything. Ask him to guide your way. I pray God protects you and your family as you journey through ❤
I grow my own carrots , juice it , add cinnamon and sweet milk yum ! We have lots of farms around my area so there’s less traffic too :) and I’m from Florida ❤
Nah, lol here in Orlando, Florida we have fresh juice stores all around, and you can get very reasonably priced fresh squeezed juice. We also have a tourist store, that's shaped like a GIGANTIC ORANGE, where they specialize in fresh orange juice, along with other juices. Not to mention all of our fruit trees. But yeah, we definitely get fresh juice for amazing prices. We get our own fruits too, or pick them off of our trees and do our own, which is even better. We have orange trees, lemon trees, all kinds of plum trees, we have TONS of vineyards, where you can get all kinds of grapes, we have grapefruit trees, apple trees, and tons of other types of fruit trees. In fact, my old neighborhood was called, "Apple tree", and we had apple trees all around. Sometimes the deer would come and get their share as well. Also, my part time gig is as a part time photographer, at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom, and we have fruit trees there too, but the funny thing is, many don't know that they can eat the fruits. They think they're just random trees, but I was born, and raised on certain fruit trees. Trees that have certain plums. etc., Lol I love it here.
Yes, 1 hour long vids are great! I will watch hour long vids from people I enjoy watching and you are one of them. You have very interesting and authentic content. If you can wonderful! If not, still cool! We understand cuz life happens.
Your natural hair looks so good on you. Ponytail, bun, wild, whatever, it looks fine. My hair is similar to yours, but longer so I know it's a lot to take care of and style, but, trust me, even with nothing done to it (or when you may think it's a mess), it looks better than the wigs. Just my opinion, but I hope you start to wear it out more. Safe travels and enjoy!
"My hair is similar to yours, but longer"... LMFAO... Tell me what that sounds like when you read it back... Cannot let her shine, can you... Post your hair so we can be the judge because you brought it up.. Still laughing, I know people like you and there is a name that is used in accordance... Jealous much
@@wiseentanglement2867 Debbie, you sound like the jealous one here. Post my hair? Why would I do that? It's not that serious. I want Rochelle to shine which is why I commented encouraging her to lean into her God-given beauty. Women will often complain about our hair being hard to manage, time-consuming, can't find the right style, etc. Often, hair type and length are used to justify those excuses. I wanted Rochelle to know I identify with her hair type and that I have even more of it to contend with, so I understand what its care entails and no excuses need apply. Despite how hard she may think natural care is, I wanted her to know it's worth it, her own hair looks better than ANY wig and I wanted to encourage her to wear it out more often. I'm not sure why that triggered you or made you feel a way, but I do hope you deal with that and find peace with yourself.
Yess I love 1hr long vlogs - sometimes I play them on my tv while I'm cleaning or cooking ! It's great but also if it doesn't work for your lifestyle ! I'll take the 30 mins !!! 😂😅
Right... the logistics had me like Google maps "recalculating" with each new video clip lol...she's handled it well, would be cool if they could've forwarded the passport to Lagos for pick up...
Hey Rochelle, I am soooo here for the hour long vlogs!! Whatever the length of the vlog I am happy to support. Thanks for your efforts producing, editing, and bringing your viewers content. It is not easy being a vlogger, not to mention a mommy, but you are doing it!! Much love. P.S. Bop-bop is getting soooo big, he is so adorable and both Naomi and Jordan are growing up to be such a beautiful young lady and handsome young man, respectively! ❤
This seems annoying losing power so often. I've never had to go through such thing. But, that is probably because I was born, and raised here in the states. Do they have generators there that last for 24 hours?
If you're in Lagos, the yam porridge is locally known as "Asaro". You may want to ask a neighbour or friend how it is home made, hopefully you'll find people around who know how to make it properly. The fast food version looks good though.
I ask the same question you ask, "With so much empty land, how is the earth(state, or country) over-populated?🤦🏽♀I always love the scenery at the airport. That church is massive!
Rochelle please don’t take this the wrong way, please. But you deserve a man who takes the stress away from you and lifts some of the load. If you are doing it all (which is how it looks) you can and should do better. You are a beautiful girl and should have someone who can give you a life that allows you to rest and not always have to think and do! That will wear you down after a while.
From time you start dont take it the wrong way, I knew an offense was coming.. People here need to understand that we don't know Rochelle personally, and she is showing us what she chooses to show on here... you do not know her life, her relationship, 24 hrs, 7 days and that is why she hides her partner; for people that assume the weirdest things.. I really had to comment because I see why people do not show off their person or are very careful with the editing of those videos.. The reality is a move with kids is obviously stressful.. what does it have to do with her man? Lets be kind and share grace😢....❤
@@rakish758 I definitely am not trying to be unkind I am just giving my commentary on what she’s sharing on a public platform. He could be a great guy but from how she is always having to navigate through all of these changes and having to lead the way ( what it looks like TO ME) with 3 kids in tow, it looks challenging and honestly it is as if she is doing all these things on her own and footing the bill.
There are many kings, Chiefs and royalty in Nigeria. Before colonialism the entity known as Nigeria today had different kingdoms, empires and city states. Some of these kingdoms still exist eg Benin kingdom with an Oba (king) of Benin who lives in Benin city, Edo state, Oba of Lagos, his palace is on Lagos Island, Alafin of Oyo of the old Oyo empire, hes at Ibadan, Oyo state and so many others But their roles these days is mostly ceremonial, cultural and spiritual with no political power since Nigeria runs a democratic system not monarchy. They still wield some influence anyway on the people in their domains and most are super wealthy
The driver was talking about Abuja specifically . Im sure there are chiefs etc but they don't have the same importance in Abuja because it is now a Federal Caoital Territory. The area/land was bought from a chief.
Abuja is not another state. It is the FCT (Federal Capital Territory). Just as Yukon, Nunavut and North-West are not provinces in Canada but territories. Except that Abuja enjoys more privileges than other states because it is the federal capital.
The pastors are bisness men today!! Aks the pastors where the money come from. The Church members can not affort it the live their, but their money have helpt to build it!! When will my people eyes open. Are we awake!!
Completely agree, I’ve heard of mega churches now we have Megachurch cities! And I’m sure whoever owns that church city is getting a cut from every one of those tent stalls that he allows to sell their merchandise.
We are thinking about moving to NIgeria too. We currently live in Ghana, but Ghana is so blah right now. It's just way way wayyy to slow for me, and I feel like I get more value for money in Nigeria.
no hate or anything against u but i was once a everydsy wig user😢 it ate the front of my edges, i started using rosemary oil now 😃 if u care and i also believe theres different types
I look forward to your vlogs. I am enjoying your journey in Africa. I watch like I would television. I would definitely watch so please post longer vlogs. I checked back a few times waiting for you to post this.
I'm glad you got to see Abuja. I love that city and knew you'd like it too and you didn't even get to really see the city it seems. Air Peace moving times of flights is very normal for them. The only one they don't really move is the first flight of the day. Abuja is Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The whole area was bought by the Nigerian government to build Abuja as the purpose built Nigerian capital city. Oh how I wish you saw Abuja before Lagos and you didn't even see the many parks and recreation in nature. Next time you go, I'll provide a list of places to check out. Imho, Abuja is to be lived in, while visiting Lagos periodically, if you must. A visit to Lagos every three to four months would actually be enough. As fun and exciting as Lagos can be, the stress and wahala is too much for any sane individual. Give me Abuja... Give me peace, serenity and nature 😍
