I was just coming back from the universal male association, after we'd finished discussing how to go about "destroying women"- truly the most sinişter of schemes, but it seems the word has unfortunately spread outside our super duper secret society. How'd that happen😒 Don't kid urself. No one puts down women more than other women. In life, always try to look inwards, instead of readily sticking the blame on others whenever it's convenient- you'll find that to be much more handy in the long run, believe me.
ik was vroeger wel een beetje pick me soms, niet heel heftig maar omdat ik merkte dat veel mensen mij niet mochten van nature (ik was altijd de rare, lelijke klasgenoot in hun ogen) ben ik wel andere vrouwen naar beneden gaan brengen in m'n hoofd. nooit online, op papier, of tegen hun gezicht of andere maar in m'n hoofd begon ik echt wel gemeen te zijn. maar gelukkig vele jaren later ben ik zo ontzettend blij om zelf een vrouw te zijn, ik hou van andere vrouwen en ben zo van girls supporting girls all day every day. random meid heeft me nodig? ik ben je beste vriendin. roddelen? nee, niet meer. ik ben blij om nu zo te zijn, het leven is zoveel fijner als je elkaar support en van elkaar houd als vrouwen.

It's because basically meaning you'd rather be all those things in your own unique way. Rather than be a cookie cutter cut out of everyone else with those same traits. I don't say "I don't want to be like other girls". Because I already know "I'm not like other girls" and I'm proud of it. I love being totally unique in my own way.
That's why I say "I don't wanna be like other girls my age" they be on tiktok and doing vids in the bathroom while I just wanted to wash my damn hands😭
I understand, but everyone has their own talents, even if it seems like they may be ‘wasting’ them. There’s also equal value in the bathroom tiktok girls🤎

1. I’ve never actually heard anyone say this phrase so I’m not sure why everyone is obsessed with it rn. 2. It would depend on the people around you. You may not be like all the other women in the area/society you live in. 3. There’s nothing wrong with being an individual. Nor is there anything wrong with being pleased that you’re different. 4. Your choices of exceptional women is great, but those are the rarities. IF someone ever said this, you can bet they weren’t comparing themselves to Diana. 5. You don’t need to bring others down but that’s exactly what you’re doing. You’re patronizing women different from YOU. 6. Being an individual and acknowledging that in no way brings down other women. 7. Some of us ARE different. I would rather rebuild a classic car transmission than go shopping. THAT is unique, and something I’m proud of. It also does NOTHING to bring down other women. But it DOES make me “not like other girls.” At least where I live. 8. I ASSUME that this phrase is interpreted as a “pick me” thing, however a lot of men want to pamper women or have them be elegant all the time. They want soft flawless hands. They won’t get that here and I believe it’s better to have them know that I different rather than waste each others time waiting for the inevitable break up. 9. If you desire to follow in the footsteps of those great women, you have to acknowledge that THEY were in fact “not like the other girls.” They are exceptional BECAUSE they are different. 10. If you want to fit more of a traditional mold for what society expects of women, that’s an absolutely valid choice that I would support as long as it gives you a fulfilling and happy life. You really should extend the same courtesy to those of us who make different choices. There is no one way in life. Do what brings you joy. Those are just my thoughts on it I guess. I mean everyone is different and unique in their own way. saying ur different from other women is basically saying all women except urself are the same and therefore shallow and without a unique personality. its dehumanizing and just shows that the person saying that has a lot of internalized misogyny to resolve.
@@djamila_nova I see both of your points and you're both correct. Diana and those other figures only "seem" like the exception because society conditioned us to believe that these are not normal girls behavior. But the phrase 'im not like other girls' most likely came from the desicribotion of some girls in "male-written" novels ("she was not like the other girls") because never in my life I have heard a girl say it.
Um, the phrase comes from women who are emotionally intelligent and can control their reactions to their emotions. One's who tend to use their logical side more than their emotional side. It's not because they're just trying to put other women down lol.
