I love your positivity, it does not feel forced. I think you find a nice balance by showing your mistakes. When the camera falls over, or if you break something, or admitting when you're late you don't always edit out mistakes and I think that is helpful for viewers.

As a mental health therapist, I additionally appreciate your statement at the end of your video. It took thoughtfulness and responsibility to include that statement. Ok, i usually never comment, but people here are becoming insane... They're so jumping on conclusion and try to read between some lines that they've created themselves. Before talking shit, please watch at least half of a video. Casey here never said he was unhappy. He's talking about the fact youtubers and video maker in general have a tendancy to over do it and to always seem extra happy/smiling/positive. First you do that for the audience to have a good time. Then, when times are hard in your life, you just feel that you have to keep doing it. You're not honest with your audience and neither with yourself, that's what's creating this feeling of superficiality. It's not that he is or was unhappy. It's that he's just like everybody else. You, me. You have a good day and a general good life, you're happy. Somethings bad happens or you're not in a good mood, you're down. The difference is that you can be "sad" or down behind your computer, whining about your jealousy in youtube comments. RU-vidrs will try to stay positive, just for the sake of the video and for their audience, even though they're not feeling it. Saying things like "money doesn't buy happiness" that I read so much in this comment section is just making clear you didn't watch the video or didn't understand anything of it. And I'm not even talking about the parallels people make with political beliefs or things like that. Grow up, don't be an ass, go spit your negativity and hate somewhere else. We'll all be better if we're just between people who like the job he's doing, making videos etc. And people who actually care about the man himself. There is something with this guy Casey. Rather he brings us on an absolute craziness of a trip to South Africa, or to Juice Press on his boosted Board or just to his studio where he sits for 8 minutes and talks to us about his thoughts: he succeeds to inspire me. He inspires me to create on my side and to live life at its fullest, without caring about what other people think. Respect to you.

I have severe anxiety disorder, and for me your vlog actually inspired me to make myself a better more healthy person. Your vlog even inspired me to start my own RU-vid channel called "CoolHandBart Flying Around". Please keep in mind I have limited editing equipment, so all editing was done on my iPad Pro, which by the was does not take the place of a good 4k editing laptop 💻, but you have to do with what you have, and be thankful in doing. Speaking of thankful, I want to say thank you Casey Neistat for the inspiration your vlog brought me! Very sad to see you stop, but again thankful that you continue to produce videos now and then. idk about that approach to life (finding snippets happiness in sadness) IMO it's important to feel sad (mostly as a fuel to push yourself to work and make your life better) and just be ok with this feeling, but not get overwhelmed by it by 1) not identifying with it (looking at life from 3rd person view, basically you're a GTA character) and 2) knowing that it's not forever (this time is so you feel the contrast and keep pushing yourself)
