It's safe to say that I am absolutely OBSESSED with Kim Taehyung, lol! This is not only my favorite song off the album but even my favorite MV, it was truly a surreal presentation and definitely a video that stands out A LOT, in the best way.

taehyung finding yeontan at the end of mv made me think about how he adopted yeontan in dec 2017 the same time he himself was going through so much mentally and physically and tannie quickly became his comfort and happiness.

Best reactions to Blue, Slow dancing and Love me again. You’re addressing the real things behind this songs. And although is very private he is sharing his feelings and in a respectful way, you’re doing it, we have to say we understand you V.

Layover is pure art. From the music to the mvs and his vocals there’s no denying that this album is special.

I wonder if he was looking for the key, which he knew was hidden under the plant, but it had been removed. Also I wonder if the guy with all the keys was the superintendent of the building, and the new boyfriend, he certainly got out of there fast when he saw V! I agree it’s about getting his dog back, even if they are broken up, can understand that!

It's a masterpiece. His album is art.

The guard is the key to the cage/prison he is in maybe. Instead of looking outwardly, the key is with in him. The dog or more importantly the leash is let loose representing freedom from the desperation of trying to get back the relationship that was lost. He is letting go of the redundancy of it all, realizing he has to move on. Just another POV. 👍🐯👑🐻💜♥️💜♥️💜

I think he felt left out, all the doors are closed and the ones that are open only lead to a a labyrinth of stairs to no where. Is a break up, probably he felt lost as his dog in this break up. Someone let him go. Someone cut his leach. We are the guards watching him?

My interpretation of the guard is that perhaps his ex cheated on him with the guard because V's reaction on seeing the guard who runs away guiltily, is very emotional.

correct me, maybe I was just misreading it the whole time, but it wasn't tae who feels blue according the lyrics but that other persom despite the fact that he tried to make the world of that person colourful

My take on it is that V is trying to talk to his ex who apparently has his beloved dog Yeontan. He was looking for the key to the appartment under the plant perhaps? The guy with the keys could be the landlord/caretaker who perhaps is also the ex's new lover. In the end his ex lets his dog go which severs their relationship. In other words she has set him free.

One theory could be that it’s the ex. She’s going to California (in the song ‘For Us’) so let’s V have the dog. Another thought can be like the song ‘ben’ by mj where at the end we found out the song was about the dog. Lol The guard running always is definitely interesting. It looked like V was looking for a spare key under the flower pots. The janitor runs once he sees V because he’s seen this before and knows that V will try and get him to use the key he had on his belt. Maybe v and the ex had a turbulent relationship/ending and the janitor has experienced it before. So much going on from a 2.5 minute video. So V and so typical of big hit and hee min Jin. But, really typical of Tae who did the tattoo on his neck in the ON MV and told us that army are good at coming up with theories and they should see what they come up with about his tattoo. Lol

To me, he was looking under the vase lookinfg for a key, to enter in the apartment to take his dog. I don't think he saw the guard,, he was just going out to wait. The guard seems to be surprised seeing him, but went to call the woman with the dog.... The apartment is the same from the end of Slow dancing. Since I saw the cover of Layover I got afraid it's something wrong with Yeontan. Maybe, after the second unsuccesful operation V is feeling that he'll lose him soon. Hope to be totally wrong, because it seems to me that Yeontan was a healing dog to Tae, tooking him from depression (I'm just wondering, ok? I don't know about it)

Layoꪜer is a no skip album for me. And it shows how much love Taehyung has for Yeontan. Tae had said before that Yeontan had 2 unsuccessful operations and he mentioned it again when he guested on Pixid. And maybe he is thinking of a way where he can immortalized Yeontan, and what's a better way but to put him on his 1st album.

I think he is looking for the key under the plant. Some people hide extra keys. And maybe he is chasing the guart to get the key?

I'm going to agree with the other folks that he's looking for the spare key, and realizing that the ex has removed it to forestall his entry. Did he even notice the guard? He was so into his own emotions that it doesn't seem like he did notice. The guard was definitely feeling guilty, though, because he really ran for it.

Have you ever forgotten who is the Producer of V's MV It's Min Heejin, the CEO of Ador, the same person who produced Newjeans MV. So it will have a same treatment as her other MV's she make, same goes to V's all MV's

I’m pretty certain V would rather stand in front of a mic in an intimate setting singing his soul out for us. All the conjecture and man’s obsession with Easter eggs and plot conspiracies takes away from the simple story and b&w beauty, for me anyway. DUDE! - Dog equals brain in your mind!? First, like any pop star’s lawyer or publicist would let anyone infer that in this obnoxious woke culture where nuance is long lost. Second, sometimes a plant is just a plant. More likely production didn’t order enough for the other side of the building. You’re always interesting but man sometimes maybe just turn off the brain, close your eyes and soak in the real melodic feelings he’s sharing. Much more enduring.
