I have to admit, I haven't watched wrestling since the Austin Days, but last nights main event was pretty damn good

You have to admire how poetic it all is. The childhood - the father and son relationship - the up and coming career - the desire for more - the alternative - the return - the redemption in philadelphia - home of the eagles - the winged eagled outfit - the winged eagle title change. Intrigued to see how it unfolds from here.

Cody can now proudly say he's the "guy", of the WWE.

I started watching wrestling again after not watching since I was a kid with Austin v Rock. I came back 2 years ago for Austin vs KO - and I stuck around because of Cody v Seth. I didn't know either of those guys but loved them. So happy for Cody.

AEW sure messed up crapping on Cody. Their ratings are in the garbage even with Legends like Edge, Chris Jericho and company working there. Cody just proved to the world especially Vince McMahon and Tony Khan he is the guy the people want and love. This is the absolute best story line we have got since the attitude era. Credit to the Rock who has helped bring it back along with Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Jey Uso. These guys are fire together.

I have seen every Wrestlemania since the very first one when i was almost 7 years old and now 40 years later, when I'm almost 47. Ill give you a little insight behind the curtain. Whenever you have seen the referee Charles Robinson referee a championship match, the title has changed hands. So when i saw him ref Cody vs roman, i knew from the start of the match that Cody was gonna win it. That's coming from watching Wrestlemania all these years and i knew something special and awesome was gonna happen. For those just getting into their groove watching Wrestlemania, i hope you enjoy the journey WWE takes you on from here on out, cause with Triple H in charge, i promise you, he's just getting started. That night was such an emotional movie of emotions. I don't know about you guys, but I was crying tears of joy watching Cody celebrate with his family, friends, and others from WWE. AMAZING!!!! Congrats Cody. Well deserved!!!

I cried last night when the match was over. I love pro wrestling. I had part ways with it a while ago and a few years ago I started to get back into it. I can say now, I have fallen in love with wrestling again. That championship looks so good with Cody.

Can we appreciate seth freaking rollins he had 3 matches 3 day in a row for wrestlemania weekend..that man was the definition of a workhorse champion...and hilarious spot to have him immediately get knocked out for his 4th appearance and set up rollins vs reigns storyline of rivalry and bringing back the shield

I've been a wrestling fan since I was 10 years old and I've seen every WrestleMania. I'm 49 now and I swear the three pops in that match, the first one being Cena, the second being 'Taker, and the third being Cody's win, was the loudest I've ever heard at a WrestleMania. Imagine how loud that would've been in a closed roof stadium?

Not even a WWE fan, dont watch wrestling. Loved this entire segment.

I've never been such a fan of any celebrity, sports team or player, musician or anyone in my life until I laid my eyes on Cody Rhodes about 9 months ago - and I have been rooting for him ever since then! He is like Captain America, Superman, the captain of the football team and the hometown hero, all wrapped up into one beautiful, strong, not to mention gorgeous, full of integrity, etc. incredible human being! I loved his wife being a part of his greatest moment, she is so beautiful and Libby Curls! Oh that night was incredible and I too was crying in jubilation and feeling so proud of my hero! Congratulations Cody, you are mesmerizing to watch. I saw you at a live WWE event in Oakland, CA in February and wish I could've went down to meet you. Next time, though! You are awesome and wonderful and I can't wait to see what is in store for the WWE Universe in the future. And also, Pat McAfee I love it when you get up on the desk and do the Yeet dance! That's the best! (Well, that's #2 behind the Cody "Woah!", of course) Love you, love, you, love you Cody!!!!

Haven't watched wrestling a lot in the last 17 years. I can say that wrestlings the best its ever been. I'm glad to be tuned back into the wrestling universe.

The Undertaker being there was a good call back to his first match at Survivor Series against Dusty and also the fact that Heyman was involved with Undertaker losing his streak.

Honestly you HAVE to give Pat McAffee a ton of credit for where the WWE is. I honestly started watching because he would bring guests on and it reignited my interest. I grew up watching the Attitude era and after 2003ish I lost interest. 40 was epic and ain’t no way I would have been invested without Pat.

Last night, I watched Cody Rhodes defeat Roman Reigns, another member of Anoai family, ending a historic championship run. He celebrated with members of the locker room coming out to hoist him upon their shoulders in victory. 30 years of fandom, but as they say the more things change the more they stay the same.

I don't buy into Pro Wrestling/Sports Entertainment being legitimate sports when outcomes are predetermined, but that's not the point of Pro Wrestling. The point is to tell great stories with athletics as the centerpiece. That all being said, there's NOTHING more real than a son winning the championship his father never could, and the emotion of the fact the Dad wasn't alive to see it happen. Take all the BS surrounding the Pro Wrestling stuff out, and boil it down to that one thing, and you still have an epic and REAL story. That's what resonated with people who aren't even usually wrestling fans. Happy Cody could realize this moment for himself and his family because I promise you any son that's lost his father wishes they could live that moment in whatever it is they love...
