I'll stand by this, I don't think he needs a redemption arc because he was never the villian in the first place. Never made out to be. He was always shown as the kid who thought he was doing the right thing. He was never bad...he never needed a redemption arc. He needs an arc where he's finally loved.

I don't believe Eda would put her hand on Hunter without asking. At the end of the episode, Eda made sure to stop everyone else in the Owl House from crowding him and Luz after they escaped, and seemd to be having a meltdown.

She would, that would be to prevent them from panicking. In this case hunter will need to be comforted.. and probably shown he needs to feel kindness aside from his abuse.

well tbh the only reason why Eda told everyone to not touch them i think was because they went through some shit that affected their bodies??? its like getting motion sickness on a rollercoaster ride, you need time to stabilize your body to the ground. if you're all dizzy and so many people go to hug you then wouldn't that cause u to fall over? something along those lines

(slight spoiler warning about the plot of the next episode, nothing too bad, just the summary that’s already available on the wiki) Same! I really hope the "unlikely ally" Gus teams up with in the next episode (mentioned in the summary) is gonna be Hunter, that could be seen as unlikely considering how their last conversation went? It's not very likely but I just need to know if he’s okay lol

@@lemonweirdo I'm theorizing that the unlikely ally is gonna be Boscha, Mattholomule, or Steve. The description of the upcoming episode said that the Emperor's coven is coming to Hexide, so I can see Steve being a possibility of rebelling and helping out the students. As for Boscha, she hasn't shown any growth yet and it'd be nice to see her character develop. And Matt is kinda a given as he's like a rival/aquaintence towards Gus. If it is Hunter, I wonder what made him want to go to Hexide. He has Willow's and the Emerald Entrails contacts, so heading over to a public school wouldn't be the safest option (unless he hides in the secret hideout that Edalyn made).

I mean, what was revealed to king was very similiar to what was revealed to hunter tbh XD its weird. Both got revealed that theyre not who they thought they were and got betrayed by someone they trusted, also hunter saw golden guard masks and king saw titan skulls.

Rewatched it, started actually crying this time, this is just so fucking powerful, especially given upon reflection the line "I told the world, that I had a plan" fits SO well with Hunter given Belos told him that the Titan had big plans for him as a manipulation tactic, I genuinely cant get over how good this animatic is.

I’m actually speechless. This animatic captures the essence of Hunter’s pain and how I hope he will be able to cope with it in future episodes. Everything in the soothing melody and poetic lyrics fits so shockingly well with him. And the visuals you created add so much more to this too. Fantastic animatic, this is undoubtedly one of my favorites in the Owl House fandom

I thought the audio sounded familiar then I realized the song was from the 2019 MoominValley soundtrack and oh my God it fits Hunter so well! I'm sad they didn't pick up where they left off with him on the next episode but hopefully his character arc will be resolved and he won't possibly just be written out of the story or forgotten about

Thanks for this. I've been having a rough day. Last night I was struggling with facing my abuse trauma, so I relate to Hunter a lot. I escaped a while back, but I was so disoriented I didn't know what happened and before I knew it there were people after me. I'm now, after 2 and a half years, looking it in the face, and talking to the police. If I'm honest, it's terrifying. But the family I've found are by my side every step of the way.

When Hunter hugged Darius I yelled, "This proves Darius is a VERY good father figure to Hunter" Darius would comfort Hunter no matter what happened. No matter how stressed Darius is he'd always comfort Hunter before himself. Prove me wrong. I dare you.

God. My favourite artist being dodie and my favourite character in any media being Hunter- this just hit really well. Especially as someone who experienced things similar to Hunter. Having Eda and Luz patiently sit with him until he was comfortable, welcoming him happily and even Lilith being so nice towards him. Darius being affectionate and hugging hkm back when he cries. Just. Oghhh. This was really pretty and felt lovely, its one of the mkst heartwarming things ive ever seen

I'm not a person that cries much, but this got me in tears- This music, oh man, and seeing Hunter happy is just- It's just so good and relaxing to see and listen to. This is so comforting, it's almost like a warm hug that I really need nowadays, it made me feel a bit happier now ^^ Congrats for making this beautiful animatic, and thanks for making this aswell. This animatic means a lot to me, I first watched it under a tree during lunch all the way back in the Spring, at the time I was finally learning to love myself. This is probably my favorite animatic on RU-vid... ever. And I've seen a lot of them in my over a decade on this site. Part of that is the fact that it introduced me to this song that been incredibly comforting through bad times, and is based on a show that did the same. But that's not just it. It's so fitting and so emotional for this character; the art is so so so clean, expressive, and really well framed. The original dialogue at the beginning feels right at home, like it could've come from the show. And the vibes of the whole thing are so hopeful, uplifting, and just defiant. AND YOU BANGED THIS OUT IN LESS THAN A DAY?!

I love it!!! The lines fit Hunters character perfectly and its so sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. ❤️ The only mistake I found was the little ear-chip, sometimes it switched ears and sometimes it wasn’t there at all. But personally I think its better that way! It shows that not ALL animatics have to be *”perfect”* to be PERFECT!!! 💗💕😊
