can confirm, just the fact that the game actually depicts the fire control system of tanks to a decent extent makes it way better than war thunder, WT gives you some thermals and LRF and thats it, T80's FCS accounts vehicle speed, while abrams has digitilized crosshair helping alot to snipe moving targets.

CAS works by marking a spot on the Map, the pilots will search for Targets in around that area and will pick The highest priority Target to attack Tanks > IFV‘s

Hi, I'm also one of the GHPC players. To answer your confusion/ give some tips: Answers: - Fire support includes Close Air Support, Fixed Wing Support, Artillery Strike, Smoke Screen and Illumination (Only available for night battles). >For Close Air Support, a jet will be dispatched and start their bombing run to the marked location. >For Fixed Wing Support, an attack chopper will be dispatched and fire the missiles at the enemy vehicles. >Artillery strikes will saturate the area, potentially knocking out some targets. >Smoke Screen provides concealment temporarily, whether for assault or retreat. > Illumination provides brightness to an area temporarily, extremely useful when your night sight is out. To use them, select and mark on the location you want the support to deal with. Keep in mind that there are limited uses and cooldown so use wisely. - Never range find an enemy vehicle behind your/your teammate's smoke screen. They will be interrupted and will give you minimum range. - The thermals on Abrams at that period is 1st Gen Thermals, which you can see the heat signature of the target, but not exactly good to identify what kind of target is, which is why it is kind of blurry until you are really close to the target. - Abrams have three storages for the shells (Rear view): >Ready rack (Left side of the turret) >Semi-ready rack (Right side of the turret) >Hull rack (Near the engine bay) - Only Platoon Leaders will move, change the formation or stop the whole platoon. Platoon Members will not be followed if they move by themselves. A new platoon leader will be assigned if the previous Platoon Leader receives either a mobility kill or the whole tank is abandoned/dead. Tips: - Before proceeding, you can take some time to read the map, thinking about possible locations that the enemy will hide. - Zoom out to get wider view for searching the targets. Once you know where they are, zoom in and fire. - Try to use thermals at all time as it is easier to look or track for targets, except if they have concealed or covered. Of course it is up to you, but I recommend it. - Immediately pull back your tank after firing. The enemy will either miss or land the shot on the dirt. - Find some uneven terrain or entrenched position to conceal your hull and leave your turret exposed as certain turret are well-armored, especially M1IP Abrams. This position is as we all known, Hull Down position. - Listen to Tank Commander call outs/ Commands. >"Doubtful" => TC is unsure whether the target is taking damage or not at all. >"Reengage" => You need to fire at the target again. >"Cease Fire" => Stop firing at the target as it is dead and proceed to scan for other targets. If there are more than one target, the TC will yell "Next Target!" - The moment you see the tank has lost power, immediately switch to Gunner Auxiliary Sight, which is old school sight to let you aim and fire at target. It will be even harder to shoot at moving targets. In the sight, the numbers above shows the size of the tank depending on the range. If you can get the range through the size, immediately raise the sight to the range. - The moment the tank gets hit, check for the status of the tank or the crew. > Engine/ Track Destroyed => Mobility Kill for the enemy > FCS/ LRF Destroyed => Have to use the Auxiliary Sight > Crew seriously injured/ Dead => Either the loading process is longer (Loader), or the main gun can't fire at all (Gunner), or no longer acquiring targets easily (Commander) or your tank is dead stop(Driver). > Power lost => Anything that is connected to the battery will be no longer functionable. > Ammo rack hit => If the turret rack gets hit, basically the whole storage is gone due to the fire. - Aim for weak spots, either kill their mobility, kill their weaponry or deal a final blow. - You can actually cancel your restock process, just you need to access the Quick Menu (Q) again. I recommend to restock APFSDS first as they are the sole penetrator to hit anything in quick speed. - To change your tank to others, simply use the Platoon list OR hold Tab key, look at other vehicles and then release it. - Hitting ATGMs are sketchy, either using MGs at short range or HEAT when long range. To actually score a hit or destroy them, range find and then you have to aim a bit lower. - Certain tanks are not well-protected at some aspects so be more careful. - Some vehicles have different laser rangefinders compared to NATO tanks, while some don't have Firing Control system and some don't have both. For M60A1s with laser rangefinders, you need to range find and then match the image to not only provide clear image but adjust the gun as well to the corresponding range. For PACT Tanks without both, you have to use MG to range find. For T-64Bs and T-72s, lead the red circle to the target and then range find it. For T-64As, range find it and then match the upper and lower image. Refer to the range number below and adjust your sights, especially for outdated tanks with old school sights (Sights with distance lines). More will be on: - F1 key during gameplay for controls. - Firing range (Showcase) to know the vehicle's control, mobility and sights. Also a good land to practise the aim and get used to the sights from different vehicles. - reaching out to the community for more tips. Welcome to Gunner, HEAT, PC by the way! @@GetGaejined by the way T-64B and T-80B have a full feature fire control system with automatic lead and super elevation and the FCS can account for the movement of your hull, turret and cant angel Meaning all you have to do is keep your center chevron on your target and smoothly track it for one second and fire Also Intel the leopard 2 is in-game where the only tanks with two axis stabilized sights meaning they don't move around unlike the M1 and M1IP which only have single axis stabilized sights

The range on Russia vehicles automatically going down when as you said “locked onto a point” is called Delta D as well as the shaking sights are from the sight itself not being stabilized any ways, a few tips for the game itself most vehicles have different Fire Control Systems (FCS) for example; if you laze a moving target with a m1 the FCS will calculate all of the variables for you so all you gotta do is pull the trigger, I would advise to learn them to help you later One more fact the BMP-1’s cannon is the same velocity as the Coax so you can range find with it instead of guessing.

you cant lase through smoke but you can manually enter a guessed range and the mills of the reticle can guide your guess.

You rely on thermals for engagement too much. Switch over to regular optics for a better view once you know where they are.

The left rack is the ready Rack.. the right rack is the stowage rack and there are a few more in the hull called wet storage because the point into the desil JP4 gas tanks.. JP4 dosnt burn as a liquid. cross leveling ammo and getting your favorite ammo in to your favorite spot is a real tank crew skill.

War thunder's modeling of Fire control systems or lack thereof makes it looks like a arcade game compared to gunner heat pc The damage modeling in ghpc unlike in war thunder is a lot more insistent as both the armor and shells are volumetric And ghpc calculates each individual fragments from a hit and well as haveing a fully modelled fire system as the amount of oxygen and air are calculated in real time and affect how violent a ammo explosion will be and how long the fire will last War thunder doesn't have anything comparable Also in war thunder it's just tanks and revenge CAS wacth I don't think I have too tell you but is very unrealistic and makes the battlefield boring Ghpc one the other hand has tanks, ifvs, air support that act like real air support and also well get infantry down in line and you will have to support them to example take objectives Ghpc is a game that strives to create a living battlefield where tanks and ifv fulfill roles that where designed for and make a realistic vehicle combat game in a realistic setting War thunder is a game pretends to be realistic but under the hood is just CSGO but for tanks If this came off as rude I didn't want you to see it that way and that is not my intention I hope you have a good day :)

What I meant with " more casual" is that I feel like ghpc is a much more relaxing game compared to War Thunder where you always have to kinda sweat a bit. In ghpc you definitely have to try, but there is a lot less pressure knowing you can just take your time and retry if your plan fails. I appreciate the comment tho, no offense was taken!

@@vashbain3136 I agree, but I honestly don't see Gaijin fixing their game any time soon. Looks more like they're in it for the money now and trying to keep the game alive with minimal effort. I do believe ghpc has a bright future ahead but they'll never replace War Thunder as you said as well, they're 2 completely different games
