So I'm probably 15 hours into the Ashlands update, and to be honest, I'm still not ready. I don't know if it's my combat that sucks or if my choice of gear is bad, but as of right now, this place is still hard asf. Paws. I'll still drive my way into this because I refuse to quit. Also, all of the new stuff looks cool so I'm trying to get my hands on them as well. This video was initially supposed to drop a few days ago, but I had some audio issues which will forever scar me into triple checking my audio from now on. Because my audio was messed up, I did a little commentary which was probably the most awkward sessions of recording in a long time. I'm not a commentary over a video type of guy so this was very new and I still feel weird about it. Anyway, this episode was sort of a build-up to the upcoming one I'm dropping very soon, so stay tuned for that. A lot of unfortunate stuff happens. Great job with the voice over while the mic was disconnected. I'm enjoying the positivity you had exploring the new content, especially as a solo player. Late to the party, but the opening day spawn rate looked crazy.

Was shocked at the subscriber count, your videos feel like the same quality of "popular" youtubers. I pretty much had the same experience as you, even with 3 people we got overwhelmed in the ashlands lol

Don't feel bad about the Ashlands breaking you (cheating materials over and such). I'm going through the game again with a couple buddies. We started out playing on hard mode, but when we got to the Ashlands and died a dozen times, we put the difficulty down to normal and started dying a lot less. :D Also, if you log out when the Lavaiathan (Flametal spire) starts sinking into the lava, it will be completely "unsunk" when you log back in, and it won't start sinking either. You'll lose your rested bonus, but it will make collecting more ore quite a bit easier.

Cool vid! If you really dislike boating things you can't teleport back to your main base and vice versa/world hopping you can try finding a putrid hole (essentially the ashlands equivalent of a black forest troll cave) and look for molten cores, with those you can make stone portals that allow tping of metals. As long as the portal your entering is a stone portal, the exit portal does not matter if it's wood or stone, metal will still be tped. You need a stonecutter to make stone portals fyi.

you might have unlocked basalt bombs to craft on the workbench it will be helpful on those flametal ores ;) i usually get more than 30 ore if you use it correctly as the pillar of flametal sinks, and always start from the bottom, great content and underrated channel!

Explore putrid holes more, those little caves, they have tons of useful resources in them, inculding iron, silver, and bronze ingots, as well as soft tissues, hope this helps ^

Just turn on world modifier "no portals" it will elt you telepote everything makes the game much more enjoyable

tip to get the full flametal load, log out once it starts sinking, then log back and continue harvesting it. the logout stops the sink animation

I tried that and ended up logging back into a pool of lava. Took me hours to get my gear back. Maybe I waited too long to log out, so proceed with caution.

thats pretty much with less dying how the mistlands went for me ventured in the mists with just beating bonemass and wearing root armor and coming across the dvergrs and watching their tower/homes crumble as I kept on luring the bugs to them XD

Dont break down the fortress walls. Climb it and clear it from the inside. Then make a portal, the fortress is an unraidable base you can have. Also new portal will keep you from word switching so much lol.

Mistakes happen, and they still suck. Its aight though. If you want my personal advise for ashlands, my brothers have been getting FARMED but I personally am slaying my way through armies single handedly. Just put on heavy armor and use bonemass... suddenly your pretty much unkillable. I do 1 stam 2 health food, but you can do 2 stam 1 health too I bet. it'd probably be fine. As long as bonemass is active you basically can't die. Just... just don't touch lava. you know this already, but mistwalker shreds. If you are willing to do 2 health 1 stam and just tank thru the damage, try using "Krom." its a 2 handed sword and goes crazy. A buckler is INSANE for morgans specifically though. 1 heavy attack on askvins with krom is usually an instant stagger or stun. If you want to keep playing magic and mage stuff, raid that first castle, get 1 "Jade" and make the nature staff you unlock. That. Shit. Is. Fcking. Busted.
