@@arnebjarne7697 ok I just hope everything is ok with you bc for me it was extremely bad feeling to go back to female. it was the worst for me. because when the body is female AND male, it contradicts and feels ..lets say weird. Hey Laddie, just wanna say I appreciate how open and honest you are (especially in this video). I know there's so much negative stigma around stopping T. At the end of the day, you need to do what's best for you and your health. 💜 Gonna support you through it all. Super interested in the video diaries you mentioned. Hey Laddie. Whatever you're going through, we will support you. I am one of those people who'd prefer identity affirmation over my health cos I'm crazy and not taking care of myself at times. I just would be so upset if all my T progress gets reset and my shark week comes back, but if you know it but your health really is on the line while taking T, then nobody should tell you what to do. All I hope is that youre happy and find a good place. Maybe there are doctors who can help your issues on T. Maybe a lower dosage again might work? Have you considered a hysterectomy? Maybe that's important. Anyway, take Care Laddie.
@MxMorphling

Unfortunately the idea of hysterectomy is the issue as I'd hate to be fully dependent on the healthcare system for anything really, actually as soon as I got up from posting it today I found I had another atrophy infection and have been on the phone to 111 😭😭 honestly although some progress might go back (my voice won't which is the main thing) and I'm now kinda excited (and nervous) to see what'll happen off testosterone, plus I can't wait to not have to deal with being ill all the time😭 thanks for all the support though!

Thank you for sharing this. I couldn't imagine going off T. I recently got a full hysto to prevent atrophy. I mostly got it because my cycles came back. There is also Estrogen cream you can apply down there to prevent atrophy. Most people don't experience this, but the one time I had to go off of T, my organs never stopped being in pain for an entire year. It was the worst pain I've ever been through. I was so bloated. E was a demon in my body.
@ashharryfearnley8955
@ashharryfearnley8955 2 года назад
I went cold turkey off sustanon. Was scared of hair loss too. Was not a fun time, had a lot of pain all over my body, mostly my chest. (I suspect rapid muscle loss and fat redistribution) I was not working out. My chest turned into balloons and were the most painful, however has calmed down after time. Almost like swelling honestly, so incase you do get that despite top, I would think it would go away anyway. My voice stayed deep but sounds softer and can't project as loud. Still have body hair, just looks lighter. Hairline hasn't changed since coming off however I haven't lost any more hair. My face went back to the way it was but darker, thicker eyebrows stayed, jaw at the side stayed wider. I still feel the peaks of T eventhough I don't take it now, which is a bit bizzare. I was VERY tired and slept a lot in the first month or two. Fat redistribution and muscle loss isn't complete yet but I expect it will eventually. I get spotting but no full period however I started the mini pill a week after stopping. My voice makes people still gender me as male, but I can also pass as female if I lighten my voice and not dress so masculinly. (which I can do now). So that's quite fun to know that I can switch any day if I want to. I should have talked to an endo before coming off but I didn't, so I don't know if starting the mini pill made things worse for me. Good luck.

Thanks for the info! Just a question, did you have top surgery before this swelling issue or have you not? (Sorry if that's too personal) And I'm going to try to maintain workouts during going off, a month or two of pain doesn't seem too bad for the long run as I've been having issues on T anyway 🤣 but yeah it should be interesting to see what happens and changes.

Oh everything you mentioned would be so good for education, as so many of us are just out here feeling like guinea pigs with transition and we always have to be the experts with the people often treating us. I’d also be interested to find out how it affects you emotionally/mentally coming off t, as before I started t I felt anxious all the time and on the verge of tears constantly (TBF I am 45 and people have suggested this might have been peri-menopause) - I felt so unstable mentally and I found it impossible to pick out what triggers were and what made it worse. I always worry that if I stopped I’d go back to feeling like I’m on the verge of a breakdown constantly.

I'm only one cis person who originally found you (and other channels) from back when I was questioning my own gender and then stuck around to keep educating myself and even later on into it all actually stuck around because you seem like a really nice fella. So I don't think I'm the most qualified person to make any comments, actually? But I've decided to leave this comment anyway to let you know that I think that you're making a well-founded decision and that anyone who takes this to mean you're "not really trans" or that you're making a mistake or that you don't deserve their support anymore because of a medical decision you make, mostly, for your own health can kindly sod off. They can mind their own business and you are literally just making a decision that's hopefully for the best for your life, not for anyone else. And I know it's probably way easier for me to see it that way because I have zero stakes in this. But in an unexpected turn of events this is also an opportunity for you to provide that niche content that you've been talking about in the video and from a purely, let's say, scientific (and/or outside) perspective this is also just very interesting stuff, more data to be added to our understanding of HRT and hormones in general etc. So, if for no other reason than that, I'd still be very excited and curious about your plans to document how your journey continues on with these new plans of yours. I wish you nothing but the best! Keep it up & take care 😉

Idk how well known/researched this is.. but my gender clinician was talking with me about options of going off T but not menstruating and he was saying how there's an option to have a hysterectomy but keep the ovaries?! So you can have a hysto (and so don't get periods) but you don't have to take any hrt bc you're producing you're own hormones still.. Thanks for sharing, I went off t for a year and couldnt find any info about what would happen, so it's cool you are gonna document your journey! I felt totally fine that whole year, i took the birth control pill without the week break to stop my period (mostly worked) and kept working out to maintain my muscle mass, which didn't reduce much luckily. My hair also got thicker again and regrew some at the temples. I ultimately decided to start t again at a lower dose than before though because my body hair DISSAPPEARED (I thought it was permanent but nope) and my hips and thighs got wider despite working out a bunch. My beard also got thinner and grew way slower which I didn't like and my face softened so I looked younger. All in all glad I did it as it was easier to cry again and process some sad life stuff, but thought I'd share what I went through in case anyone was curious!

You may already be aware, but there’s always a possibility for you to take hair medication like finasteride for your hairline whether you continue off or on T, I’ve heard it works for over 90% of people who use it. and possibly speak to a dermatologist if it’s something that’s concerning you if you haven’t already, they’ll be able to help determine whether balding is something likely to happen (although I think your hairline looks fine and looks like it’s just masculinised)

Thank you for all that you do and I wanted to give you a word of advice, I'd generally ask permission but this is a comment lol: So I'm a transman pre-T but I have been transitioning physically (exercise wise), socially, ect. I appreciate you sharing this. I am about to stop mine as I am choosing the cons of being off t over the acné of being on it. I like my voice and how I look so I am curious as well to see what all will change as I am a Pickleball player and weight lifter averaging 3 days of pb and 4 days of lifting depending on the week. I gained significant muscle while on it but as I am working to go pro in PB I will have to choose a gender and I do not want to transition. I will likely get my uterus removed in the near future if my period bothers me too much and breast removal if they grow back.

And also stopping T you’ll still be you you still have a lot of changes that stay 😊 And I’m having lots of health issues now too so I get it.. my b12 which people think oh it’s just a vitamin it’s a very important vitamin of the b complexes and without it you can’t live . Mine was so low that I was close to being in a wheelchair they told me.. I’m on b12 injections now so hopefully in time I’ll feel better Then next four out my vitamin D was very low so taking drops under tongue for that Also .. I wish I could exercise going off t but B12 was so low that if I exercise much other than walking it depletes it more ugh so it’s a hard choice

Ah that's reassuring to know! The transition has made me a more confident person so I think even with some stuff changing back I think that confidence isn't just based on how I look anymore yaknow. And I take supplements and have my blood checked often so I think I'm ok on vitamins? Ooo but I do get pins and needles in my hands a lot, I'll speak to my doctor about that thanks🙏

@@MxMorphling you get the pins and needles?? I you do get checked out your b12 and it seems low could you maybe reply to this comment again ? It’s something I been wondering that not many people talk about the vitamin depletion . They check every 3 months my vitamin c and potassium all of that & I asked they said testosterone can deplete certain vitamins but my b12 wasn’t checked till this year and I been on 2 years .. if they could of caught it sooner I wouldn’t of been so sick . So hey it doesn’t hurt checking yours too maybe you are fine but doesn’t hurt 😊 better safe than sorry ! I go to planned parenthood for my hormones and sometimes they don’t always inform as well as endocrinologists I hear Best of luck I may be stopping my hormones in 2 months at my appointment Last question sorry! Going off T do you need to take estrogen pills at all? Like will our body work properly again just stopping?

Thank you for posting. I’m considering going off of T. I am a singer and I really don’t like the voice changes that have happened. I know that by and large voice changes are permanent for most people but I’m considering stopping for the off chance that I may get closer to my pre T state. I haven’t found any instance where this was the case. I feel like I’m at a loss. Any more info about voice changes post T would be greatly appreciated

Hi! I'd definitely say my voice is higher after stopping testosterone. My friends also agree that it's gotten a bit higher and my range is also higher✨

For the hips fat redistribution, could liposuction be a solution? AFAIK the lipocytes are removed, so you are physically unable to regain fat there. My aunt did that and she never gets fat there anymore so it is definitely an option.

Hi there, it is an option but I'm quite small as it is so I'd rather do this via exercise however I'm sure this could be an option for other people ✌️

Don't worry, we trans men are lucky to be able to stop T if ever it causes health problems. And it isn't T that makes a man 😊. The hairline stuff you talk about is DHT sensitivity. DHT is a by-product of T that promote body and facial hair growth but is toxic to the scalp. I complained about how I'm still a naked rat 3 years on T, no beard , and got replied " you're lucky, it means your body is resistant to DHT and you're going to keep your hair." Basically boys : the hairier your body gets, the greater the risk of hair loss is. Medicine exists if you want to get back on T, it is called Finasteride. You got all my support, excuse the tranpa rant 😝!
@MxMorphling

Yeah believe me I know all about DHT🙄🤣😭 but since all the other issues I was basically like "lol why not giving stopping T a try"🤷‍♂️🤣 ahah thankyou holy tranpa for the advice🙏

Hey, I really enjoy your videos and updates about going off T. I'm considering this stuff for myself, mostly because I'm terrified of the negative effects of being on T for a long time (I just passed 6 years). My main thing is that I have a history with eating disorders. If you don't mind me asking, has your experience with working out to keep your masculine physique triggered any disordered eating or body dysmorphia issues? That's the biggest thing I'm scared of.
@MxMorphling
@MxMorphling 2 года назад
Me personally, that part hasn't caused any issues however I've noticed a big drop in appetite so I have to make myself eat in small portions more regularly rather than in big meals to eat enough so I've lost quite a bit of weight but have been too busy to work out much

I am considering going off T right now (but weening myself off as I still have several weeks worth of T on hand left and idk it seems like it would be healthier) because hypertension runs in my family and my blood pressure is rising on T + i hate how much I sweat, how I smell, and how much acne I get on my back (and I'm scared I'll have a carpet back like my dad haha) but I'm so nervous about my tits getting bigger because I absolutely do not want surgery. I am half asain so my natural figure is very straight and less curvy but my chest is definitely less pronounced on T. I'm very very internested in your journey and what workouts you do bc I think the same will be needed for me to feel less dysphoric. Thank you for sharing!!

Hey you mentioned BV, and im not all the way through the video yet but research boric acid suppositories. Though late i hope this bit of info can help you or anyone with the same downstairs issues. Definitely also mention it to your Dr of course before using them. But you can get them in drug stores or on Amazon.
@MxMorphling
@MxMorphling 2 года назад
Heyy, yeah I've unfortunately tried a lot of stuff and it just comes back no matter what, plus even if I stopped the BV the issues of atrophy were still enough that I was told in the next year or two the organs would no longer be working and I'd need a hysterectomy for safety and being fully dependent on synthetic hormones is not something I want for my entire life so I'ma see how I feel being off T for a bit ✌️

Hey question .. do you have any vitamin deficiency’s from T possibly? I been on 2 years and vitamins are really badly depleting and I been going so back and fourth on stopping just to see how I’d feel health wise. Obviously I wouldn’t feel great for like a month from stopping T but maybe I could see if my vitamin depleting works better and if not just go back on

I get my bloods checked all the time and they said they were fine I think, plus I take a lot of supplements. What vitamin in particular?
@infinitivez
@infinitivez 2 года назад
You know, I always had this fear of being on a medication forever, but a doctor told me, "You wear glasses, are you going to quit doing that? What about vitamins? etc?". Well, I didn't INTEND on it, but the benefits outweighed the risks. Everything else you brought up, totally valid, but please don't let the fear of "forever" be part of your reasons. It's really not been that bad for me. I don't necessarily like taking a shot a day, and 12 pills a day, but that consistency in my life isn't really any different than remembering to grab and wearing my glasses. (short of maybe the negative side effects of the medications themselves) Please try to ramp down, even if you just do a half dose. The mood swings suck. I didn't get the nausea, but dang if I didn't get angry and agitated easily. Helps if you get to stay at home with people who are aware and supportive. Luv ya Laddie. Fear is the mind killer. Stay strong!

I think I might be a transgender, I always have doubt about my sex. I totally support LGBTQ community and I am not transphobic, But the idea of being transgender scares me. I don't know how to come out to my parents, my friends, or being afraid of losing my job or marriage. I don't want to be a transgender, is there any medical treatment help me get rid of this thought or anxiety? I want to remain at my assigned sex? I want to a cis.

@Johnny_T779 2 года назад
I don't know how old you are, but I can give you this advice : if you really feel you might be transgender, don't try to burry this feeling for the fears you mentioned. I waited until both my parents died to transition at 50 years old, my only regret is to have waited for so long! I was scared to be forced to have surgery and it held me back 30 years. Turns out, no, you ain't forced to nothing, not even taking T. For some people, social transition is sufficient. I wish you good luck in your research in the topic. 😊 And, no, you can't suppress your gender feelings. As you can't suppress your love of swimming, music or cats... It's part of who you are.

You are not transgender. You’re taking this excuse to not go deep indice of your difficulties and troubles. You might suffer from a depression state as anxiety. Transitionning wont help. Do some good for you ♥️

This is why getting a hysterectomy if your uterus and ovaries are healthy is ill advised.

I do know if it is atrophy down below that there are simple estrogen treatments like a nuva-ring that release location-based estrogen/progesterone to help with that stuff. This youtuber talked about it, I'm sure you've seen it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dsqOu3lJ22U.html As for receding hairlines, there may be treatments for that too. You could also consider very low dose testosterone, there's also finasteride which deals with the hair effects cause by testosterone, one of my FTM friends uses it (I am ftm myself, just not on hormones yet). But. Not being on hormones doesn't mean you're not trans. You're not de-transitioning, because transitioning doesn't necessarily involve hormones to begin with. It's just a possible step some people might want to take. You're taking care of your health. Take care of your health above all, absolutely. You're doing great :>
