Stacy Ballard wants her mother's approval during her bridal consultation, but the two have very different tastes in wedding dresses. Catch Say Yes to the Dress on TLC - Sky 133, Virgin 162, BT TV 323
Her mother's behavior was unacceptable. Her wedding is not about what her mother wants, it's about what she wants on her special day. If her mother wants to pick a dress she likes, she needs to find her own damn fiancee, and get one for her own wedding!!!!
Stacy, unfortunately, passed away on the 5th of May, 2018 when she was 43 years old. It's hardly believable that she passed. This was mentioned on a website that I came across 3 years after her death. Her husband opened a go - fund me page to raise funds for her funeral. Rest in peace, Stacy
B M it took me a while to figure out, but....I’ve learned that you don’t HAVE to dress up at all. You can totally get a date while wearing jeans and t shirts, as long as you are a clean and neat - looking person. I’ve always worn nothing but t shirts and jeans, and at school I was always the weird/“ugly” kid that nobody wanted to touch. At first I thought it was because of my clothing. But as I got older I realized it was because I would come to school with my hair uncombed and messy, refused to wash my face so I had terrible acne, and would sometimes go a few days at a time without brushing my teeth, while I had braces. Oh, and I would regularly forget to wear deodorant, so I probably smelled terrible too. But when I got older, I realized the problem and then finally fixed ALL of these things. And suddenly everyone wanted to be around me more and I even started getting asked out. Sorry for writing a wall, but the point is, you can totally wear casual/not - fancy clothes as long as you have good hygiene and take care of yourself:)
Anyone else get the feeling that Stacey comes across "tough" but only because she feels hurt by Mom...probably for a long time. I think Stacey deserves a good hug and a cry.🤗💖
"Unconditional love is the foundation of every mother-daughter relationship. But it doesn't always have a filter." I don't think Lori realizes how absolutely brilliant what she just said was lol.
One would think that any loving mother would wish for her daughter to feel beautiful. I shudder to think of how this mother treats her daughter when the camera isn’t rolling.
Hey a bit random but plz repent of your sins and give your life to Christ. Jesus loves you so much and He died on the cross for you so that you may be with the Father and have eternal life with Him❤ k
@Alexandra I know where you're coming from. I was thin on my wedding and rocked a dress for just a bit over a hundred dollars. Personally, I don't think any other dress could help me look better if I was overweight. Still, some people struggle to maintain a healthy weight and that shouldn't stop them from feeling beautiful.
Very true, alot of times the prettiest woman are the ones you don't realize are pretty till they have one of their rare dress up nice moments. I'm like this myself and had coworkers be jaw dropped when I get out of comfy clothes and get into dress and make up. This daughter looked gorgeous when they pinned her hair and put the veil on, like complete 180 from when she walked in.
👏exactly👏 not related to the video but my sister recently cut her hair "like a boy" and everyone keeps asking me if shes transgender or lesbian when she really isnt🤦♀️ she just likes the style! A girl can dress more masculine and still Identify as a girl and a boy can dress more feminine and identify as a boy! Sorry for the rant I just needed to get that off my chest😁
I don’t get how that works. the moms be like meh you could do better Add a veil? OMG I LOVE IT ITS BEAUTIFUL GET THAT ONE The veil doesn’t change the dress bruh
Nyny Cat saaame. I’m a girl and all I wear is t shirts and jeans (except for fancy occasions where wearing that would be inappropriate). Nobody ever actually bashes me for it or anything, but I def get some comments from my mom/grandma like “why don’t you ever wear anything CUTER??” What am I supposed to wear instead then, fancy dresses/skirts/blouses just to go do everyday things? I swear the most EXCITING part of becoming a “big kid” when I was younger was getting to choose my own clothes. I love it so much:)
@@KnittingGirl28 I loved all 3 of the dresses she tried on. I personally dont care for lace because I'm elergic to lace. However if it was that soft kind of lace that dose not feel so ruff I will be fine. Real lace gives me a rash lmao
That's what happens in most of the videos First the fam isnt sure abt the dress and the bride loves it So when she puts he veil on, that magic just sparks about that "this is my dress" moment
I don’t care if she’s my mom, if she belittles me everyday and makes me feel bad about myself everyday she’s not coming with me to pick out a wedding dress.
That mother took a master class in destroying her daughter’s self esteem. What an awful mother. What a witch. I feel sorry for the bride. Hopefully the groom’s family treats her better.
Went through the same thing his side of the family has been nothing but loving kind and supportive mine can't wait to point out every short coming and negative thing about me especially my mom
rockdef diva damn....I’m so sorry your own family/Mom is like that. She sounds like a narcissist. I’ve got a Mom like that. Narcissists actually feed off of putting others down. At some point it’s necessary to limit contact because of the toll their behavior takes on your sanity. I hope it gets better for you.
rockdef diva I bet. We moved 3,500 miles away to the middle of the Pacific Ocean to escape my narcissistic family. It’s done wonders for my self esteem. But it’s a lot of work and it never ends. Surround yourself with people who love you and treat you good. Everyone else can go fuck themselves. 😉😘
Its is Staged, they are aiming to make the audience feel some sort of emotion. They get more viewers If they provide these types of videos where there is an issue(s).
I hate lace. My mother knew better than to suggest it to me, ha ha. She did try her best to keep me from a Jane Eyre plain dress. I did end up having lace capped sleeves because the dress I liked would have been strapless otherwise and I hated strapless.
Kai Vickers my hair dresser is an amazing colorist and has a reputation for it, so if I go in there and show her a horrible hair color she will straight up say no, she says it’s your hair but it’s my name on there as well so when you leave the salon it’s her reputation and just because you see something and want it, doesn’t mean it’s going to look good. I trust her because it’s her job and after 12 years she has yet to let me down. She knows what works and what doesn’t and every time I go against her I end up regretting it. Just saying some hair dressers need to say no but to each their own
Greta - I don’t disagree with you, I honestly don’t. What I will say is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally find full coverage foundation and bushy brows to both be irredeemable, but a quick scan of the Gram will show how many disagree with me.
How beautifully this gown fits this beautiful bride. I love that the bride persisted with her choices. So nice to see the final outcome, with a happy bride and mother of the bride. Great work, Lori and Flo and Monty.
When my daughter gets married I'm not gonna be like this mom. I'll be happy regardless of what she wears. She's my beautiful baby girl. She could wear a trash bag and I'd be cheering her on.
Funny you should say that, when I was picking bride's maids dresses, my sisters were giving me fits but my niece said "I'll wear a Pizza Hut table cloth, if you want me too!" 😢🥰. That's how it should be. Kudos to you.
Im suprised that bitch (mom) actually got a boyfriend in the first place like who the fuck in their right mind would date that narrcistic bullying shithead.
Rising Stars I guess I don’t understand how being called fat your own mother, getting upset about it, then uninviting her from one of the most important events in your life is funny 🤷♀️
Dela Flowers imagine blaming weight on someone’s age? They both don’t have an excuse but what right do you have to criticize them for it if it isn’t your life, isn’t your body and you have no choice in the matter? My grandmother was nearly 90 years old and took care of herself well plus was under 200 pounds and always in her weight range for her height and age. Don’t blame age on this situation. It’s their own lifestyle choices and possibly even disorders, diseases, etc that they have. Even so, again, you have no right to comment on their weight, don’t come here acting like you’re perfect.
I met my fiancé when all I was wearing were athletic wear. And he proposed to me when I was in athletic wear. As long as your man/woman loves you for you!! That’s all that matters
“She wears t-shirts and blue jeans, dress feminine and she doesn’t” “I’m surprised she has a fiancé by the way she dresses” Me sitting with basketball shorts and a t-shirt and only wears jeans to go out: (👁👄👁) Excuse me how much lies did I hear in under one minute are we living in the 60s?
Monty and Laurie are so great with people they just shine with goodness! They found the perfect down to earth consultant to do the assist. She's a very pretty girl I'm very happy she found something that made her and her mom happy together. The real friends she brought with her were so very supportive. I don't know if I will ever see another reality show that I can so clearly see the intricate underlining family dynamic issues that arise under the wedding pressure hot seat.
