There are some really nice comments on here. Thank you so much. I still don't really understand why this track, recorded at my parents house in my bedroom is still loved today. I wrote it in 1991. I'm 56 now!! Thank you for your unwavering support. GRH Geoff Hibbert aka Rhythm On The Loose.
Geoff! Take a bow, honestly, this track is magnificent! It encapsulates everything about house and the power of music. I’ve got to ask… Why is it called break of dawn? I have listened to the original but I can’t seem to get the link or the samples from it to yours? Honestly, this tune is out of this world - and the best house track ever made in the history of house 💪
I remember you :) had this when it was first released on the green label in 91'. Bought it at Music Power Records in Haringey. I was also a pirate dj on Pulse FM 90.6 and on my Saturday morning show i dropped this and pager went radio rental on me ha ha! First Choice 'Let no man put assunder' , arguably the most sample track from the early days of Acid / House way back then... Every generation has their memories to look back on as they get older - 87' - 92' was mine... Do it all over again?.....ABSOLUTELY!! :)
I remember you as well! After 33 years this track still gives me goosebumps and when I hear it in a club I just can’t believe how good it is. I’ve been going to the daytime raves in London and surrounding counties and they normally drop this one. Sadly, it’s a remix or they put a vocal of someone else over it , so it’s not the same! I like things to be original if you know what I mean?
Say what you want but it will never be enough to describe the vibe that was around this era.. maybe it was the pills but I whole heartedly suggest it was the music x
It was the music. I'm born and raised in Switzerland and travelled to Asia with my best friend. At some point we've landed on a phantastic Island in Thailand in '92 and that's where I heard this song for the first time. And heard it over and over again. And with it all were the raving Brits. I remember them so well. The DJ was from London and he played this song religiously. It never got old and to this day this song means freedom, joy, love, fun and comeradery. And maybe a tinsy bit of the pills, too, but most definitely the music.
We were blessed to be young and be the first generation to experience these sounds. They were made by our brothers and sisters our generation 😘we got one thing right 🤫
Back when those original tunes allowed to dance like we didn’t care. So many dreams, wishes and zero stress. 54 now and these old tunes still being a smile to my face, memories come flooding back. ❤
You triggered my memory of..."In a sweet harmony" you just can not replicate these Originals... "If you want to ride...the black and white horse" Pacific State 808 too to name but a few
ahhhh what a tune, the memories of being a spotty teenager in the early 90's getting my first set of 1210's and bringing this home from the record shop and just playing it to death.
I moved around a lot as a teenager & this was song. My mates always used to sing "I'm surprised to see your bin bags at the door" happy days regardless of the fact my wardrobe was a bin bag 🙂
I didn’t get into house until 93/93 ish after being divorced. I heard this song in the mid 90’s and was sold to the happy house movement and haven’t looked back. Long live house Muzik. Ps I’m 60 now 👍🏴🕺😎
Oh my days, tingles and hair stood up on mi back. I'd happily go raving now with mi dodgy knees and bad back...wouldn't hold me back though. Every generation has a golden era, if your listening to this then this was ours ❤️👍🏾

i was at Booby's Bar in 90, what a place! First bar i heard Orbital - Chime in was, of all places, Bobby's Bar in Tenerife, 1990. Approaching the entrance I heard this and could see lots of movement, then reached the door and realised everyone was pogo-ing like a madman. Simply couldn't believe the energy in there! I wanted to get to the bar for 9 x Crème de Menthe + Vodka and a solo Stella (that one was mine). So I had to join in the manic dancing to get a round in. Wow - the pure energy and euphoria this tune evoked in there. A standout moment for me in the history of clubbing that's for sure - can still picture it now. Everyone was up-for-it and happy and vibing off each other. Outstanding tune.
