I’m 71 and a veteran, my husband passed a few years ago. I can’t understand why anyone would vote for a democrat. I feel for this wonderful woman who is struggling worse than I am. I have to go back to work somewhere when I should be retired and living my glory years and not worrying where my next meal is coming from. @@SpiceyQueso I don't know the lady but she said it like it was for 99% of the American people today. 4 yrs ago I had a great job with good pay( still poor) and I lost it when our contracts were up because of downsizing. I was able to pay my bills ahead and save some money,I could afford to travel to see friends and family, pay for my son's schooling, and had good insurance. After Biden took office we lost jobs, was penalized at tax time for losing my insurance ( which trump had stopped the irs from doing), gas was almost $4.00/gallon, eggs went to $8.00 a dozen, orange juice went to $10/gallon,and bills increased by almost 3 times the amount. I used all my savings and I have family I have not seen in almost 4 yrs.

Years ago.... decades ago, you never had to work two jobs as a middle-class American to stay afloat. Now you are lucky if one job(middle class) takes care of all of your bills, and you get to actually "enjoy" life after work, and all bills are paid. And I'm referring to a single person household, not one where 2 or more help pay the bills and utilities. 💯
I am a PA resident. I got laid off from work 3 weeks ago, and my unemployment benefits application got denied. I have a PhD and postdoc-work experiences, I still can’t find a job. A recruiter told me that 1200 people applied for the same job. I was one of the top 25 applicants invited for the initial screening interview. Now I don’t have health insurance, I don’t unemployment compensation even though I paid tax. I can’t afford my rent for my apartment. I’m just counting the days, I really want to work.
Dear God please open doors for this person. I was unemployed for almost 14mons. I have two degrees and several certificates. It was rough and still is food, car insurance, home owners insurance , property taxes.. all went up

I've been where she was. I was the working poor and she had more money in her account than I did after I paid my bills. I was surely robbing from Peter to give to Paul and because of this, my utilities was always at the point of getting shut off. I had no support system and only knew how to go without. I'm tired of black celebrities to be honest. I thank God he stepped in and my degrees paid off. I went to college and God opened the door. Favor after favor. I'm able to bless others now.

I felt that and truly understand her pain and anger, been going through the same thing especially in the last year since I got injured and been on IA…not getting the OT that i normally would be getting but still have to pay for rent, car payment and all other bills and necessities on just WC that took over 6 months before I got a single check….plus I live in Hawaii, born and raised by the way…the most expensive state. Never struggled like this before…so when heard her pain it hit me right in the gut and brought tears to my eyes because I felt that and truly understand. We are sick and tired of being mocked, talked down to and all but pushed aside so that those above us can have the lifestyle they want while they walk over us, just paying lip service to us every four years.
