Murphy is one of the best deals in the state. It's one of the LAST western NC mountain towns with affordable housing around the town. 300k still gets a decent home in Murphy, and the town itself is pretty decent, AND getting better every year. This is a good place for people that want the small town NC mountain lifestyle without breaking the bank.

ShoeBooties Restaurant has been there FOREVER. Lots of newer restaurants too.

I've been living in Murphy since 2017, coming from Charolette in SC, it's a great place until it comes to places to go. After you've lived there for a year or two you about explored the whole town it gets kinda boring but it's a great place to live, the schools and the teachers are the most respectful people met yet. But by you know it, the whole town knows you and you know everyone. It's like a big ol family!

I didn't know Murphy, NC's town center was that large! It's vibrant, too! Wow! This is why I hang out with you, Timothy. I always learn so many new things about so many places! I did not see any speed breakers, 😂😂....I mean speed humps, anywhere is Murphy. How refreshing.

This is the town where they found the Olympic bomber Eric Rudolph dumpster diving behind a save alot. Pretty country out there in Appalachia

I can do that for you. I have skipped going into most shops due to the time it takes. And I want to finish my challenge of visiting every town in North and South Carolina in a reasonable amount of time. But I think I can squeeze a few in here and there. I know who you are talking about now. Yes, Tipper has her channel Celebrating Appalachia and her daughters have one called the Presley Girls. The girls have a video in which they sing a song they wrote call Brass Town. I loved it.
