This show is amazing and from a better time...It's low key incredible how fast he bounces around saying random shit that actually at times is actually possibly genius... He's a prophet.
0:43 Not even 3 seconds into the intro dialogue and there's already a perfect example of why they were better times... the very fundamentals of Western society are currently under attack. Our culture is being dismantled by marxists.
Man,I miss this. My youngest sister got me to start watching this. A Toronto reporter interviewed him when he was doing this show. Hilarious and informative. The guy's a true original and an underrated actor,an Oscar nominee.
I never knew this show existed, but this is pretty funny. It seemed like reality shows revolving around one celebrity was the trend at this time. Anna Nicole and The Osbournes popped into my head when seeing this.
12:24 "That's like a lariat.. that's a snake whipped on your back legs--well, I-I mean the back of your legs, not that you had four legs--and pulls you this way... That's what that line did to me. I believed every minute of it, until I looked at the QUADRANGLE it produced with the verbs you used in this sentence." -Wiser words
There's something amazingly geometrical about how he expresses himself. Another great line, one of many, was when he's talking about trains and relative motion.
My younger brother and I used to watch this show when it originally aired, I was like 14 or 15. We used to die laughing at this shit. I love how Busey very knowingly plays up his persona of "brain-damaged crazy guy" in this show. I know the dude has some issues stemming from his brain injury, but he's definitely parodying himself in this, doing an extreme caricature of himself, which shows that he's not completely off the reservation. He's legitimately funny in this, and he knew what he was doing to get those laughs.
@@d_no_allyn_86 do you mean the brain injury? He was in an horrible accident and got fractures in his face and his skull. I don't remember if he was driving a car or a MC... I think it was a miracle that he survived. Plus his heavy cocaine use. And cancer in the face... All of these things probably made him a little bit... Differentish
I suggest you watch this interview from last year's gary busey... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bXaTav94jKs.html or any other interview ever done with him, because that makes you see that there's no difference between this GB or any other GB. There's just this GB, right there and nothing else.
@@LHondrums If it's an interview than to be honest, you really cannot make this claim as he is an actor and we ALL have our public selves. His therefore would be even more exaggerated, and I for one admire it.
I really like Gary... More and more looking back after his acting career. HOWEVER, i realized maybe an hour at a time spaced apart.... Over possibly months... Is probably the better bet. Btw, best way to eat oysters is cracker, horseradish, and hot sauce.
this was funny when it came out and still is i remember watching it and laughfing i liked gary in predator 2 lol i remember the one where adam and gary went to go find the magical indian or omething thnks for thi being on youtubve
remember what the good doctor wrote? "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die." gary busey in a nutshell.
people that don't know: Gary is not a drug abuser he had a terrible motorcycle accident and hurt his head very badly. this is the result of that injury.
I know a guy that played college football with Gary. (Claims he kicked Gary's ass in the dorm for playing drums in the hall) but said Gary always acted crazy. Even back then. Motor cycle accident got nothing to do with his personality. Ha
A dream to be an international space astronaut? Isn't every astronaut at the very LEAST international? If you reach space, you're more than international.
gary busey is such an anomaly because he somehow managed to get through life after having serious brain damage without doing something horrific like a lot of people with severe head trauma like chris benoit. i mean how do you just keep coasting through life the way he has after that bad of an accident?
"Is that a traditional song..? That's not a traditional song righ.. " *Shut up!* "Alright.." **more rainsounds** *CROSS THE BRIDGE AT MIDNIGHT! SEE MY FACE IN THE LIGHT!* 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Come to night and come to day, and bring my fruit to me Let it rain let it rain down fast 'cause the rain is all I can see Oh baby say it to me, rain to me, sing to me, love to me Can you see, can you see the rainbow in your eyes Cross the bridge at midnight See my face in the night
