Wow, they nailed it! Really wish I could have heard this one live (I saw them the night before this show but Sara wasn't well, resulting in a setlist overhaul)... Few things make me happier than these fine songwriters covering my favorite songwriter.
Great performance. I love this song. It's so much fun! (I'm on a serious "Joni Kick" ever since the Newport Folk Festival and it's almost as if her songs are brand new releases for me!)
I just discovered these girls, beautiful voices, well done. As a lover of my religion I call Joni Mitchell, I’m am so glad that in recent years she is finally being recognized as the most wonderful and epic talent that she is and others are seeing what I have known since the first note of Blue...
Beautifull thank you! Its so good to see young people loving her music..i'm listening to it already 10 times today, just as i use to do back in the day.. september 1975 with my brandnew record " Miles Of Aisles..and Blue" I was 1st time living on my own enrolled on the school for goldsmithing in Holland and spend my full week allowance first thing on monday...
amazing version...they do a great "behind that locked door" by george harrison .....and by the way check out first aid kit's version of the harrison tune as well
Thanks for taking and sharing these videos! I was standing in the front row a little bit more house-right for this show and so happy to be able to relive some of these songs.
I saw them preform in Malibu, at Pepperdine's L.S.W. center for the arts in early October. Unfortunately, this playful cover of a Joni classic was not part of that night's set list. Still, an excellent show as these gifted ladies never disappoint. They always seem to enjoy the moment, and sound sooo good when singing into the one mic. Gotta love how Aiofe slips a "Philly" shout out into the lyrics.
It's really hard to compete with Cyndi Lauper's cover of this, but you guys totally knock it out of the park. Thanks! It's such a pleasure to hear this gem come to life.
You did an excellent job with that. I usually roll my eyes at Joni Mitchell covers, but you pulled it off extremely well. Being a Joni Mitchell fanatic and almost worshiper, I will say that you are the only other musical act I have ever commended for performing one of her songs. I also want to tell others who read this comment that your band name is not a reference to Hillary Clinton. Your name came before her 2016 campaign slogan.
