@@flamencoprof Siii! España! I love flamenco music also. I am from Rota, España. Lived in Florida, US. My friends take me shopping for flamenco attire. So i mix US/España attire together. For festival here. Its beautiful when flamenco festival comes, also Americans/Spaniard bluegrass arrive with beautiful music in town center. Here American military is present, so American country and Flamenco culture mix during festival. It is beautiful for me because I went to school in US for many years and met my American husband. So the mixture is perfect world to me. And many my Spanish friends love country from US and like when I play various bluegrass. Like the Mt. Dew song😂 We dance to it, because bluegrass is actually very much fun for dancing also. It is just perfect world for me. And my Spanish friends are super chill and receptive to it!
@@sukaenacornelius9285 I see that Rota is close to Cádiz & Jerez which I visited in 1996 while driving around España. I saw a Flamenco show in Jerez, which was a dream come true for me. There is a connection between Flamenco and Bluegrass dancing, through the Celtic/Gaelic footwork. The dancing girls of Cádiz were known to the Romans. I learned to dance Sevillanas, but a long time ago. Thanks for your nice reply.
I know these three talented women all have solo careers to pursue, but I hope they will also continue to work together because they cut some amazing tracks as a trio. Their harmonies are otherworldly at times.
I heard this in my car on the way to work and as soon as I got to my desk I had to look it up. Y'all. Please, keep making music. This is so beautiful. It's hardly ever anymore that music makes me feel anything. Well done!
There’s always much to like and admire with these three musicians. Although it shouldn’t work well the occasional voice singing the same part actually does. Timing is so good on those sections that it sounds almost like a studio double track…although it clearly isn’t. Great job as always
when i saw this video for the first time (on my 30th replay so far), i immediately thought of crosby, stills, and nash; not because their sounds are the same, but because each of these three come together already succesful and unique. the new magic they create together is, as with csn, better than their separateness - even though each woman is an awesome talent. we are so fortunate that they found each other.
Exactly right. CSN had singular strengths x 3 and the result hasn't been approached. Until now. From me that is the highest laud. I'm seeing them in March...can't wait.
Just saw them in ATL. Had NO idea they were with the Punch Brothers and almost flipped out when they walked on stage! Best concert I've seen in decades! Thankful my sister bought me a ticket :)
Just stumbled upon them...I did see a video of Sarah with Alison Krauss on Transatlantic Sessions when she was much younger, so I looked into her. They are touring in Feb. 2019 near me. Wondered if the show was worth the $$ and the travel time?
Such a haunting melody. Absolutely love the tight harmonies and gorgeous counterpoint that Sara adds on the violin! Reminds me in a good way of the best of Peter Bradley Adams and The Weepies! Can't wait for a full-length album!
I’m gonna hold my cards close Cover my scars and mostly tell you little lies I hope you never know this Kind of loneliness that’s eating me alive If I pretend I never cried And my daddy raised me right that I pick myself up when I fall That I don’t need a helping hand On my own two feet I stand, will you come running when I call? Is it all right with you if it’s all wrong with me? 'Cause it’s all right with me if you wanna be set free I’ll set you free It wasn’t my intent Maybe I should not have spend all my money tryin’ to make it I don’t know how I never saw The writing on the wall telling me to fake it Is it all right with you if it’s all wrong with me? 'Cause it’s all right with me if you wanna be set free Every morning we wake up I see you lying there The tangle of your sweet embrace Whispers in the air Skin to skin and eyes locked in Are you really there? Are you still there? Will I be there? Is it all right with you if it’s all wrong with me? 'Cause it’s all right with me if you wanna be set free But who will love me when you go? Don’t say goodbye just shut the door I wish you could've told me I wish you could've told me I wish you could've told me I wish you could've told me I wish you could've told me I’ll be all right, I'll be all right I’ll be all right, I'll be all right I’ll be all right, I'll be all right I’ll be all right, I'll be all right I’ll be all right, I'll be all right I’ll be all right, I'll be all right I’ll be all right, I'll be all right
This is such a phenomenal song performed by incredible musicians. I keep coming back and I can't believe it's only been recorded 3 years ago, I must have listened to it hundreds of times already and I have yet to get tired of it :)
Damn this band is amazing. I love what they've released. Hopefully there's a full album to follow at some point. Is there any better Americana supergroup? I think not.
Sheer perfection. I have been following Sara since the first Nickel Creek album, Sarah since I first heard "Run away" but Aoife I was just introduced to with "Crossing Muddy Waters". Keep this up. You have a lifelong fan in me!
I happened to see her, as a brand-new-fan, when she played one night in Saxapahaw, N. C. , just 2 miles from our farm. What an incredible experience!! I am thrilled to find someone "new", (this was over a year ago), to follow, and who brings so much to the music world . Young, and already an amazing rising star with a talented voice and an equally outstanding musician, she performs clearly through her love of it. She brings us music rooted in the culture of many historical times and people. It connects the "mountain-ese" folk music, with classic hauntingly beloved gospel that is as ancient as and born through the souls bound in slavery from their homelands of Africa, to the performers of the '60's with strong words , in a voice as perfect as Joni Mitchell, touching on the gifted and now Hall of Fame and Nobel top writers & musicians like Bob Dylan and N. C.'s Doc Watson, joining many Nashville-bred & nurtured stars like Loretta Lynne and Patsy Cline. Whew! Seeing her in "The Haw Ballroom" was surreal. She stood within an acoustically-designed theater, alongside a group of buildings all built and designed inspired by and from pieces of the former mill where it stood. Finally there exists new life from the former rubble of brick and steel.
wow we are going to see you ladies in concert on August 12 th of this year along with the Punch Brothers in Cincinnati I cannot wait!!! We saw Aoife at Centre College in Danville along with Willie Watkins earlier this year as well.
WOW! Now that is synergistic harmony! I don't believe I have recently heard such synergy in any group lately. A lot like P. Brooks wrote here in the comments, a lot like Crosby, Stills and Nash. I would certainly concur with P. Brooks. I hope they can stay together and as Anson Burtch in the comments wrote "Hopefully there's a full album to follow at some point".
Hiding behind the breathtaking beauty of their voices lie some pretty good lyrics. If it gets any better than this, I've never seen nor heard it. And it seems, at least, that they are all "grateful" for their success and have some real humility helping them along. Never stop you three. Play it all - covers, classics, and anything that grabs you by the strings. I like all I've heard. MORE!
Seen each of these ladies at the Strawberry Music Festival separately and I LOVE the collaboration in I'm With Her. Hope to catch them somewhere close soon. Meanwhile, I MUST buy the new CD.
I prefer Sarah Jarosz individually but in I’m With Her Aoife steals the show with her vocals. That saying all the instrumental playing is equally brilliant amongst the three of them in my opinion
I missed most of their performance on Jimmy Kimmel on 4/5/18 but it seems their earlier stuff is a little bit more bitter... I hope they have founnd more happiness in life because they are super talented and they deserve love and success
I got a chance to see them in a small club in Los Anageles, Ca. About 3wks ago.they were beter than i wanted. Anothet ticket more than well worth adding to my collection along with some fairly good pictures from my phone that i blew up.man!. They are 3 beautiful talented females
