He has different tastebuds to June's. It's okay, some people like things very spicy, doesn't mean that he's not appreciating June's talent, creativity and wisdom. Not that I am defending him, I don't even know these people lol
Dear June, I have depression and anxiety that I manage pretty well but I haven’t had the drive to cook or bake in years. I will occasionally cook but it’s a chore. I like cooking shows but I never get the urge to cook after watching them. Today, I found this channel and this was the first video I watched. I can honestly say you made cooking look so fun and tasty that I find myself actually wanting to cook! Thank you for being you and sharing your gift with all of us. Hugs 🤗
@@xsx1113 what is the correlation or contradiction of saying capitalism is bad and flying first class airlines? I don't see anything wrong with that, you could acknowledge the system is bad but it doesn't mean you shouldn't having the products of that system, acknowledging it is first step towards reaching a better world rather defending something that is flawed
They should cook for her sometime. She's always serving others. Would be nice to see her friends do something for on video. Would love to see Judge June!!
Unfortunately June is one of the few people on this channel that can cook. The only ones with any skills are pretty much just her and the guy that does elevated childhood eats
Can we give our queen a $5,000 budget? Let her go crazy and buy anything that fits in one shopping cart? We need to reward this beautiful human with everything she deserves. She is literally the only reason 99.9% of us are subbed to delish.
To use a fire extinguisher remember P.A.S.S Pull the pin Aim the nozzle towards the bottom of the fire. Squeeze the trigger Sweep the the nozzle back and forth putting the fire out. There you go. Fire safety training complete
It's really lovely watching June interact with people that appreciate her effort and talents, and she looked totally in her element here. I hope she goes camping more often if she's into it!
There's not a person alive who's cooked on a real fire that doesn't understand that the struggle is real to keep out of the smoke...that darn stuff FOLLOWS YOU ;)
Haha! We don't get those where I live. We can buy Axe in the storea, but the commercials are either about how to get your dream body or how to make money fast and easy.
It would be cool to start a series where Julia, Justin, and Chelsea all attempt budget eats (alone or together. Maybe together for the chaos) and June judges
Girl, you are so beautiful. And your heart and personality are pure gold. Your work ethic and creativity shine in every scenario. Thank you for sharing your inspiration and encouragement.
I love how as soon as Justin "insulted" June by giving her a 6.5 June had a face like "aw yes the chaos has returned" since she's always getting critiqued more honestly with Aaron haha
I was having a horrible, no good, terrible day and went to look for something to stave off the anxiety...and I have been blessed with a 50 minute June video!
There are never enough Budget Eats videos. I love how June cooks and all the ideas she has about using ingredients. I've already learned a lot from her videos. Can't wait to see many many more.
Yikes, I love you guys, but please follow Leave No Trace principles next time you’re in nature! Don’t throw cooking liquids/ leftover food into the plants, as the smells and scraps will attract animals! We don’t want wild animals to become accustomed on foraging around humans! (As a sea otter, I would know. ☺️)
There are a lot of reasons people might need a soft food diet. After oral surgery, after an abdominal surgery ... yeah, I think a lot of people could benefit from a nice collection of mush foods
Clever, intelligent, adorable, hip, trendsetter, talented, beautiful, honest, amazingly creative, admirable! Can’t say everything that describes your amazing self. Your mom must be very proud of you! Signed, an older mom❤️
Nope. Never add dairy or water to eggs. Unless you are making a quiche or something that requires dairy, leave that out of the equation. Why? Adding milk dilutes the flavor of the eggs and thins them out. This makes it very easy to overcook them. It also reduces that vibrant color, as well. If you want to "stretch" the eggs, do it by adding to it things that add flavor, not dilute it. And it is a myth that it makes them fluffy. Club soda or water achieves the same thing, but better. 1 tablespoon per egg, if you are really set on adding liquid to your eggs. Ask a chef what they add to their scrambled eggs. It is unlikely to be milk.
June! This episode definitely spoke to my Guatemalanesse! Plaintains (platanos) are one of my fave foods from my childhood- and I NEVER thought to combine them with a sweetened, creamy peanut butter sauce! Bananas & PB are the SHIZZLE. Your TWIST on an old-thkool favorite is gonna be my next kitchen adventure... 🍌🍳🤘😎 Imma try it on👩🍳 Meanwhile, all the campy foods seen here, I keep the base ingredients you used as staples, so (I'm betting) I can tweek these at home to try them veganIZED for giggles. Thanks everyone for the great footage, feedback & fun ideas for our vay-cay! Ciao!
Seriously with all that you GO THROUGH, I don't know why you continue to bless us with your brilliance ( probably because you have to make money to live...)! Sending you love and light from DC sis.
@@xquidditchcaptainx She is dealing with depression and speaks about it freely, AND still creates this content for us that brings us joy! June is life!
"But I'm just thanking God Aaron is not here to be frickin sprinkling Red Pepper Nice Tasty on every single thing". I LOLed. I went to H Mart and got Red Pepper Nice Tasty because of Aaron and I didn't realize it was literally just red pepper 😂
The combination of June’s love for instant potatoes plus the camping reminded me that one of my family’s fave backpacking meals is mashed potato quesadillas, which are pretty much exactly how they sound. They are soooo good after lots of exercise and being outdoors. These ingredients could also be used to make scrambled eggs with plantain!
Campfire cooking definitely takes practice. I love it. Pro tips: I would have built my fire closer to an edge of the ring, so it would be closer to me, also account for wind direction. Build your fire upwind in the ring. Also, I like to take a tall rock and put it 10" from the ring edge, so you can balance the grate on the edges and rock in the center. Make sure your pan isn't too close to the coals. Give the fire a good blow, or fan, to remove ash. You may even want to dampen the edge ash with water so it doesn't blow around. Use the hand test to determine coal temp.
I've only ever bought low sodium spam. It's salty enough so I can't even imagine what the regular one taste like. Edit: Julia drinking out of a spam can...
I honestly thought that peanut butter condensed milk sauce was going to be the favourite. Mind blown. I also love the faith with going with a 6.5 for the breakfast tacos, knowing that June would up her game throughout the day
I love spam. Grandma would make Golden Rarebit for us as kids (and when we ask as adults!). It's a can of diced spam, mixed with a can of cheese soup and a can of tomato soup. With toast. I love it.
Spam is fantastic and versatile! And if you're really not down for the salt, after you cut it you can soak it in warm water to get some of the salt out 😅
The only reason it’s so salty is to make it shelf stable, so washing makes sense because it won’t be shelf stable after opening it anyway. I dont know why I never thought of that... thanks for the tip!
I love June and her creativity. I have watched every single video of hers and I have never been disappointed. June rocks and I can't wait to see what she cooks next.
Fun video and I gave it a thumbs up. Because you admitted to being a newbee camper I want to take you under my wing and help you out. Regarding bean juice and other food waste, pouring it in a fire or on plants is a huge faux pas, akin to littering in the camping world. Wipe up or pour into trash. Why? Because wildlife loves food, cooking odors, etc. you really don’t want to draw raccoons into camp. And never burn trash in a campground. The camp hosts have to clean out the fire pits after every camper. Keep a clean camp and you will be appreciated by the next campers. ❤️
YES! This was my favorite video so far. To take you out of the kitchen and to see you in the wild was just amazing. I would love to see more of these camping videos. What a fantastic job, I would eat ALL of them with a smile on my face.
When you camp it’s important to pack out everything you pack in. The idea is to leave nature the same way you encountered it. This keeps bears and other potentially hazardous animals away while preserving nature’s original state with as little disruption to the area as possible! :)
When I camp, I bring a tupperware to pack out my food scraps for composting at home. Please don't dump eggshells on the ground on property that isn't yours.
most camp grounds have rules around that because it attracts critters! when i stayed at my friend's cottage last summer, we collected all our compost and buried it in the ground at the end of the day.
Easy to remember Fire Extinguisher guide: PASS. Pull the pin, Aim at the base of the fire, Squeeze the handles, Sweep from side to side. You're welcome June!
Please if anyone is camping remember to clean up and avoid dropping pieces of food because it will attract animals. There is no compost station because it’s get ripped apart. Therefore you shouldn’t dump out oil and bean juice around your campsite. Also bring soap and a folding bucket to wash your dishes and cans out with. And truth be told some of these food items are not ideal for camping so if you plan on trying this for a camping trip longer than one day and you hike into your site I’d pass on eggs and items with lots of packaging because you’ll have to lug that trash around your whole trip.
